South Granville, New South Wales

Crest Theatre is a heritage-listed former cinema and ballroom and now community centre at 157 Blaxcell Street, Granville, City of Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Cowper and Murphy and Associates and built in 1948 by A. W. Edwards Pty Ltd. It is also known as Hoyts Crest Theatre. Following its purchase by the Australian Blouza Association, it has been referred to as Blouza Hall. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 1 August 2003.

Oriole Park was the home of the Auburn Baseball Club in New South Wales, Australia. It hosted the Claxton Shield in 1970, 1975, 1980, and 1981. The field was extended and had lighting added prior to hosting the 1980 competition. Oriole Park also held the 1988 U-18 Baseball World Cup.Oriole Park was last used in 2014. In 2017 the Cumberland Council announced that Oriole Park would be torn down as restoring it would be too expensive.

The Auburn Botanic Gardens are a botanical garden located in Auburn (a suburb of Sydney), New South Wales, Australia. It was established in 1977 and covers an area of 9.7 hectares (24 acres). There are two lakes, a waterfall and bridges. Duck River winds through the garden. The garden is maintained by Cumberland Council. It is open daily, and there is a small entry fee on weekends. The Japanese gardens, which have hosted couples from overseas, are one of the main attractions.The Auburn Botanic Gardens attract thousands of visitors each year, including a significant number from outside Australia, who come to enjoy the surrounds of the gardens, which provide a variety of flora and fauna. The topography of the site, which slopes gently towards the Duck River, has been altered to create different perspectives and microclimates. Three habitats are intended to provide an experience of 'Australia' in the city – the woodlands theatre, the native garden and billabong, and the Australian rainforest. The gardens were opened by New South Wales governor Sir Roden Cutler on 11 September 1977.

Granville is a suburb in western Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Eric Tweedale Stadium (formerly Granville Park) is a multi-purpose sporting and recreation reserve in Merrylands, New South Wales. It is located on 13.2 hectares of land approximately 24 kilometres west of Sydney and was formally opened in 1887 by the then Mayor, John Nobbs. One of the first sports clubs to play at Granville Park was the Granville Royals Rugby Club in the late 1880s.The land was owned by the City of Parramatta until May 2017 when the newly created Cumberland Council inherited the park, as a result of New South Wales council mergers. The main field, known for sponsorship purposes as Merrylands RSL Rugby Park, is now the home ground of the Parramatta Two Blues club, founded in 1879, which competes in Sydney's premier rugby union competition, the Shute Shield. Total capacity for the ground is 5,000, of which 1,000 is seated. The clubhouse has a large hall suitable for hosting functions as well as changing room facilities and amenities. The main field has lighting suitable for hosting night time sports events. In 2021, the ground was renamed after the Australian rugby international and Two Blues player Eric Tweedale on the occasion of his 100th birthday.Granville Park is also one of the home grounds for the Greater Sydney Rams team that plays in the National Rugby Championship. The New South Wales Waratahs team plays occasional pre-season trial matches at the ground.There are also sporting facilities for soccer, cricket, and basketball. A children's Splash Park was built in 2014, and the reserve also has barbeque and picnic facilities.

Melita Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Sydney, Australia. It is mainly used for football and is the home ground for Parramatta FC team and the Parramatta Ladyhawks Women's Super League team. As the US Navy expanded in the Island hopping campaign, Naval Base Sydney expanded to include a Naval Base Hospital, repair base and other facilities. US Navy operations started in 1943 and ended after the war in 1945.
