The Center School is a historic school building at 13 Bedford Street in Burlington, Massachusetts. The one-room wood-frame schoolhouse was built in 1855, and occupies a prominent place in the center of Burlington. The building is basically Greek Revival in style, with some Italianate features. It modified in 1898 when it was adapted for use as a library. At that time, the typical paired entrances were replaced by a single entrance with a Colonial Revival treatment. The building served as a library until 1968, and was pressed into service in 1970 to temporarily house the police department. Its tenancy was short-lived, with the premises abandoned after the building was damaged by a Molotov cocktail. The building has since then served as the town's history museum.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

The United Church of Christ, Congregational is a historic Congregational church in Burlington, Massachusetts. Built in 1732, it is one of the oldest religious structures in Massachusetts, and one of a small number of pre-19th century church buildings. It was redesigned in 1846 to bring it into the then-popular Greek Revival style, extending it in length and adding a somewhat Gothic-looking steeple. In 1888, when the Colonial Revival was becoming popular, a number of these changes were in effect reversed, restoring a more Colonial-style steeple.When built, the area that is now Burlington was still part of Woburn, and this church was the second, built to serve what is now Burlington. It was the site in 1775 of some critical meetings, both military and political, of Patriots in the American Revolutionary War. The church served as a parish of Massachusetts' state funded church until the churches were disaffiliated from the state government in the early nineteenth century. In 1909, Martha E. Sewall Curtis published, Ye olde meeting house : addresses and verses relating to the meeting house, Burlington, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, built 1732, and other historical addresses. The meeting house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. The congregation is currently affiliated with the United Church of Christ.

Burlington High School is a four-year comprehensive high school that is credited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.Burlington High was one of 30 schools in the state of Massachusetts named to the AP Honor Roll by the College Board in 2011 for simultaneously increasing access to Advanced Placement coursework while maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP exams.Burlington High School is ranked #39 in the recently released 2015 Boston Magazine rankings. This is up from their ranking of #67 in 2014. According to Boston Magazine, these rankings are based heavily on MCAS scores and schools are not contacted annually for updated data.

The Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, formerly known as the Lahey Clinic, is a physician-led nonprofit teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine based in Burlington, Massachusetts. The hospital was founded in Boston in 1923 by surgeon Frank H. Lahey, M.D., and is managed by Beth Israel Lahey Health. U.S. News & World Report has cited it several times on its list of "America's Best Hospitals" in the category of urology.

The West School is a historic school building at 106 Bedford Street in Burlington, Massachusetts. The one-room schoolhouse was built in 1794–5, when the area was still part of Woburn. The building was originally located in what is now Simonds Park in the center of Burlington, but was moved to its present location in 1839 to serve as the school for the western part of town. It served as a public school at 1897. After serving for a time as a garage, the building was rehabilitated by the local historical society in 1964. Of four Woburn-built 18th century school buildings in Burlington, this is the only one to survive. The building is a well-preserved example of Federal and Greek Revival styling.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Burlington Mall is a shopping mall located in Burlington, Massachusetts. It was opened in 1968. As of 2022, the mall currently features Primark, Nordstrom, and Macy's, the mall currently includes retailers Fabletics, Madewell, Tory Burch, Burberry, and Kate Spade New York.

Mary Cummings Park is a 216-acre (0.87 km2) public park in Woburn and Burlington, Massachusetts located at Babylon and Whispering Hills. The former farm and estate became a park managed by the City of Boston's Park Department in 1930. Mary Cummings left the land to the City under the condition that it be kept "forever open as a public pleasure ground". Since then it has been used for day camps including "Camp Joy", "Kamp for Kidz" and "Camp Wilderness" and as a public garden for school children called "Woburn Gardens". There are also several miles of trails which are open to the public. A radio controlled model airplane club operates their aircraft on one of the open fields which they maintain. An Excerpt from the will of Mary Cummings: Fourth, To the City of Boston, Massachusetts, I give and devise all the land together with the buildings thereon, in the City of Woburn and Town of Burlington, Massachusetts which was conveyed to me by Charles Fairchilds( by deed dated February 26, 1890, and recorded with Middlesex South District Deeds, Book 1967, Page 131, excepting so much thereof as shall have been conveyed by me in my lifetime or is herein otherwise specifically devised (the same being known as Babylon Hill), but in trust nevertheless for the following purposes and uses: To hold and keep the same forever open as a public pleasure ground, and to maintain and care for the same in a suitable manner in accordance with that purpose. At 216 acres (0.87 km2), Mary Cummings Park is approximately the 12th largest public park in Greater Boston inside the I-95/Route 128 beltway. Approximately 26 acres (110,000 m2) were seized by eminent domain by the Federal Government during the Cold War for use as a nike missile site, which was subsequently bought by Northeastern University for their Burlington Campus. The park is now managed by the Trustees of Reservation.

The Francis Wyman House is a historic house at 56 Francis Wyman Road in Burlington, Massachusetts. Built ca. 1730, the Wyman House was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.On November 26, 1996, a fire severely burned the inside of the house. During the summer of 2012 the house was open to the public for the first time ever.The house was named as one of the 1,000 places to visit in Massachusetts by the Great Places in Massachusetts Commission.

The Baldwin apple is a bright red winter apple, very good in quality, and easily shipped. It was for many years the most popular apple in New England, New York, and for export from the United States of America. No apple in the vicinity of Boston was so popular as Baldwin. It has also been known as 'Calville Butter', 'Felch', 'Late Baldwin', 'Pecker', 'Red Baldwin's Pippin', 'Steele's Red Winter', and 'Woodpecker'.The Baldwin was one of four apples honored by the United States Postal Service in a 2013 set of four 33¢ stamps commemorating historic strains, joined by Northern Spy, Golden Delicious, and Granny Smith.

Jack's Diner (now "Lanna Thai Diner") is a historic diner at 901 Main Street in Woburn, Massachusetts. Built in 1952 by the Worcester Lunch Car Company as #834, it is believed to be the only surviving stainless steel diner built by the company that is located in Massachusetts. It is located on a site that has housed a diner since at least 1937, when the Worcester Lunch Car Company also delivered a diner to this site. The original diner was called Shipper's Diner, but the one delivered in 1952 was known as Jack's. The proprietor of the establishment is not listed in city directories. By 1975 the diner had been renamed Stella's; as of 2011 it houses a Thai restaurant. The diner was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.A kitchen fire on August 26, 2020, led to the temporary closing of the Lanna Thai Diner.

The 1790 House, also called the Joseph Bartlett House or the Bartlett–Wheeler House, is a historic house located at 827 Main Street, Woburn, Massachusetts, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is close to the Baldwin House, with the Middlesex Canal running between them. The 1790 House, originally on Main Street, has been moved closer to the canal to make room for a hotel. It now faces more south than its original facing of southwest.
