KC-TV Tower is a 1,042-foot (318 m) high freestanding steel lattice tower located at East 31st Street on Union Hill (south of downtown) in Kansas City, Missouri, United States.

Union Hill is a historic neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri. The neighborhood is located between 27th Street and 31st Street and Main Street to Gillham Road. The Founders at Union Hill, a 9.2-acre (3.7 ha) mixed-use, luxury urban development, is located north–south from 27th Terrace to 31st Street and west/east from Oak Street to Gillham Road. It is closer to Crown Center than the neighborhood itself. A short walk from the Crossroads Arts District, Union Hill preserves history and embraces the future of Kansas City with the Kauffman Performing Arts Center, downtown Kansas City and Country Club Plaza as nearby neighbors.

The Pla-Mor Ballroom was a multi-purpose event center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. The venue was primarily a music hall used most often for jazz performances but also contained a bowling alley, swimming pool, ballroom, billiard hall and adjacent ice rink.

Seven Pillars Institute for Global Finance and Ethics (SPI) is a not-for-profit think tank based in Kansas City, Missouri. Founded in 2010 by Kara Tan Bhala, the institute is authorized under Section 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code and is a nonsectarian and nonpartisan research and educational organization. A large part of the institute's work is to provide education on ethics and its application in every area of finance.

Union Cemetery is the oldest surviving public cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. It was founded on November 9, 1857, as the private shareholder-owned corporation, Union Cemetery Assembly. As a commercial enterprise remote from city limits, its 49 acres (20 ha) became a well-funded and remarkably landscaped destination by 1873. Through the late 1800s and early 1900s, it declined into haphazard burial practices and virtually no maintenance. Some graves (including some shallow or mass graves) were permanently unmarked, unidentifiable, and human remains were scattered into the potter's field. In 1889, all records were lost when the sexton's cottage burned. In the early 1900s, human remains were inadvertently plowed and dynamited up during development of roads and businesses. A legacy of lawsuits and public campaigns from the 1910s through the 1930s led by bereaved families, including survivors of area settlers and boosters, created new leadership and city park status with accorded maintenance. Union Cemetery is now a public park and tourist attraction occupying most of the Union Hill historic neighborhood. It neighbors the historic National World War I Museum and Memorial, Union Station, Downtown, and Crown Center. It is curated by the non-profit Union Cemetery Historical Society (launched in 1984) and maintained by the Kansas City Parks & Recreation department. Its estimated 55,000 bodies include those of hundreds of American pioneers, Kansas City boosters, and American Civil War Union veterans such as George Caleb Bingham and Johnston Lykins.

The Union Confederate Monument, also known as the Unknown Confederate Gravesite Monument, is an outdoor Confederate memorial at Union Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. The 15-foot (4.6 m) granite obelisk monument was erected by the U.S. government in 1911 to commemorate the 15 Confederate prisoners of war buried at the site. The exact location of their individual graves is unknown. The memorial includes two bronze tablets displaying the names of the prisoners, who were captured during the Battle of Westport.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is located in Kansas City, Missouri and covers the 10th District of the Federal Reserve, which includes Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wyoming, and portions of western Missouri and northern New Mexico. It is second only to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco in size of geographic area served. Missouri is the only state with two main Federal Reserve Banks; the other is located in St. Louis. Federal Reserve Notes issued by the bank are identified by "J" on the face of one and two dollar bills and the J10 on the face of other currency.

1 Memorial Drive is the headquarters complex of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. The 618,000 square foot complex consisting of a 14-story tower and two-story base containing its cash processing and operations facilities was designed by Pei Cobb Freed & Partners was dedicated June 11, 2008, and replaced its headquarters at 925 Grand. Henry N. Cobb was the lead architect.The complex is located in Penn Valley Park opposite the Liberty Memorial on the site that was the former St. Mary's Hospital where Jo Zach Miller, Jr., president of the bank who oversaw the construction of 925 Grand, had spent his last days. It was the first Federal Reserve building built after the September 11 attacks prompted increased security at federal buildings. The complex (which moved from Downtown Kansas City) is in a park setting and its 15.7 acre property was landscaped by Laurie Olin of Olin Associates.

Cristo Rey Kansas City High School is a Roman Catholic high school founded by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth in 2006 as a part of the Cristo Rey Network of schools. It is located in Kansas City, Missouri, in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-Saint Joseph.

The Derrick Thomas Academy was a tuition-free, public charter school in Kansas City, Missouri. It opened in 2001 and was named for former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Derrick Thomas. As of the 2009-2010 school year, the Academy served approximately 1,000 students in Grades PreK-8. It was an EdisonLearning charter school, but parted ways with EdisonLearning in 2011.

Armour Boulevard, Armour, or 35th Street is a major west–east main street that runs in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, from Broadway Boulevard to The Paseo. It is named in honor of Simeon B. Armour of Armour and Company.
