Al Maktoum Bridge (in Arabic: جسر آل مكتوم; also known in Arabic as جسر المكتوم) is a bridge that crosses Dubai Creek in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is one of six crossings on the creek and was the first bridge/crossing in Dubai. The others are Al Shindagha Tunnel, Floating Bridge, Al Garhoud Bridge and Business Bay Crossing. The Dubai Metro also goes under the creek. Opened in 1963, this bridge enabled people to cross from Bur Dubai to Deira, or vice versa, without using a boat ferry called Abra or going all the way around Dubai Creek. To pay for the bridge, a toll was applied to vehicles crossing the creek going from Deira to Bur Dubai. There was no toll for people travelling in the other direction. Once the bridge was fully paid for in 1973, the toll was removed.The bridge, and roads leading to it, underwent a widening in 2007. The bridge was widened to increase the bridge's capacity and to ease congestion. The new lanes were opened on 7 November 2007, and increased the capacity to 9,500 vehicles per hour.The road toll (called Salik), was re-introduced on the Al Maktoum Bridge on 9 September 2008 for both directions. The toll will not be charged when the Floating Bridge is closed (from 10pm to 6am from Saturday to Thursday).

Rigga Al Buteen or Riqqa Al Buteen (Arabic: رقة البطين) is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Located in eastern Dubai along Dubai Creek in Deira, Rigga Al Buteen is a small community that houses many prominent landmarks. It has a small residential area, but is primarily known for its important government and municipal buildings. Rigga Al Buteen is bordered to the north by Al Rigga and to the south by Dubai Creek. Port Saeed is located east of Rigga Al Buteen. Local roads in Rigga Al Buteen follow a grid pattern in some areas, with odd-numbered streets running northeast–southwest and even numbered streets running northwest–southeast, perpendicular to the odd-numbered streets. Local street numbers begin with 1 A Street (near Etisalat Tower 1). Important landmarks in Rigga Al Buteen include Etisalat Tower 1, National Bank of Dubai, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Emaar Towers and Dnata. Al Maktoum Bridge, which provides access from Deira to Bur Dubai, is located in the vicinity of Rigga Al Buteen.

Dubai Creek (Arabic: خور دبي, romanized: Khūr Dubay) has been described as a natural saltwater creek, tidal inlet, and watercourse or waterway in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It extends about 9 miles (14 km) inwards and forms a natural port that has traditionally been used for trade and transport. The creek ranges from 200 to 1,200 metres (660 to 3,940 ft) in width while the average depth is about 6.5 to 7 metres (21 to 23 ft). Previously, it extended to Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary but as part of the new Business Bay Canal and Dubai Canal, it extends a further 13 km (8.1 mi) to the Persian Gulf. Some sources say that the creek historically extended as far inland as Al Ain, and that the Ancient Greeks called it River Zara.In the 1950s, extensive development of the creek began, including dredging and construction of breakwaters. A number of bridges allow movement of vehicles across the creek while abras are used as taxis. The banks and route alongside the creek houses notable government, business and residential areas. A number of tourist locations and hotels are situated along the creek.

Deira Clocktower (Arabic: دوار الساعة ديرة), originally referred to as the Dubai Clock Tower, is a roundabout in Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Telegraph newspaper listed Dubai Clock Tower among the 17 most beautiful clock towers around the world.

Al Rigga or Al Riqqa (Arabic: الرقة) is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Located in the heart of eastern Dubai in Deira, Al Rigga is a residential and commercial centre. Al Rigga is bordered by Rigga Al Buteen, Port Saeed, Al Muraqqabat and Naif and bounded to the south by Dubai Creek. Al Rigga is bounded in the west by route D 88 (Omar bin Khattab Road) and to the east by route D 78 (Abu Baker Al Siddque Road). The locality is separated from Al Muraqqabat by Al Rigga Road and from Rigga Al Buteen by route D 89 (Al Maktoum Road). The Union Square is located in Al Rigga where buses and taxis provide transport within the emirate as well as to other emirates in the country. The Dubai Clock Tower, which lies at the intersection of Umm Hurair Road and route D 89 is situated in Al Rigga. Additionally, several local hotel chains such as Metropolitan Palace, Zain International Hotel and Sun & Sands Hotel are located in Al Rigga. Local roads in Al Rigga follow a grid pattern, continuing in numerical sequence from those of Al Muraqqabat. Even-numbered streets progress in a northwest–southeast pattern, beginning with 3rd B Street (near Al Tahir Restaurant) and ending with 45th C Street (near Metropolitan Hotel). Even-numbered streets progress northeast–southwest, beginning with 2nd Street (near Bani Yas Cemetery) and end with 44th A Street (near Rigga Al Buteen Plaza). Both Al Rigga and Al Muraqqabat play a central role in the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) celebrations. Planet Pepsi, a DSF entertainment park is located in Al Rigga.

Established in 1965, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Arabic: غرفة تجارة وصناعة دبي, romanized: Ghurfet tijar'a wa sina'aht Dubayy), or simply the Dubai Chamber (Arabic: غرفة دبي, romanized: Ghurfet Dubayy), is a public non-profit organization, and the stated purpose of the organization is to support the business community in Dubai and promote Dubai as an international business hub. The Chairman of Dubai Chamber is Majid Saif Al Ghurair. Hamad Buamim is the Chamber’s President & CEO.

Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Arabic: غرفة تجارة وصناعة دبي), also referred to as the Chamber of Commerce Building, is a building in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Located in eastern Dubai in Deira, the building is the headquarters of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is located in the Rigga Al Buteen community, along Dubai Creek and is part of the old Dubai downtown. At 91 metres (299 ft) in height, the Chamber of Commerce building was the seventh-tallest building in Dubai at the time of its construction in 1995 (after Dubai World Trade Centre, Deira Tower, Dubai Creek Tower, Arbift Tower, Al Reem Tower and Etisalat Tower 1). When seen from Bur Dubai, the building is located to the right of the National Bank of Dubai headquarters.

Al Rigga (Arabic: الرقة‎) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE, serving the Al Rigga area of Deira.The station opened as part of the Red Line on 9 September 2009. It is close to Deira Clock Tower, the Delta Centre, and many hotels. The station is also close to a number of bus routes.

Rashid Hospital (in Arabic: مستشفى راشد) is a 786-bed general medical/surgical hospital in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and is a part of the Dubai Health Authority. Built in 1973, it is the city's second oldest hospital, and is located on the Oud Metha Road adjacent to Dubai Creek.The new Trauma Centre at the hospital was completed in mid-2006 after a 7-year period since it was proposed. It can handle 7 ambulances simultaneously. The complex includes a medical library. In July 2006, the DOHMS (now DHA) announced a US$272 million (AED1 billion) plan to build a new 500–700 bed 30,000 m2 hospital within available space in the current complex. The Rashid Hospital deals with some of the heaviest volume of major trauma in the world with on average 3 to 5 cases of severe polytrauma presenting each day. The hospital's Trauma Centre is the busiest in the region, and saw more than 166,000 patients in 2013 and evaluates between 480 and 550 patients on a daily basis. Through the end of 2012, the highest number of patients seen in a single day was 580.In 2013, plans were announced for expansion of Rashid Hospital's Trauma Centre that would add 116 rooms and 160 beds to the facility. The expansion will also add 2 floors to the existing structure. As of January 2015 it was being reported that the target for completion of the expansion May 2015.The Rashid Hospital expansion is only phase 1 of a larger ‘master plan’ that will see AED3 billion spent on 6 new specialized health centres, 2 hotels, and additional villas and apartments for staff, in addition to a mosque, lake and landscaped open space. Furthermore, the main hospital will be rebuilt to consist of three 300-bed towers, bringing total capacity to 900 beds. Port Saeed (Arabic: بور سعيد and sometimes ميناء سعيد) is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was established by Saeed Ahmed Lootah, who named it after the Egyptian city of Port Said which was destroyed in the Anglo-French invasion during the Suez Crisis.Port Saeed is bordered by the waters of Dubai Creek to the south, by Al Khabisi to the north, by Al Garhoud to the east, and by Rigga Al Buteen to the west. It stretches between Al Garhoud Bridge and Al Maktoum Bridge. Important landmarks in Port Saeed include Deira City Centre, Dubai Shopping Centre. The Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club occupies almost half the area of Port Saeed. Located there are sail-shaped club house, an 18-hole golf course, a marina, a number of villas, several creek-side restaurants, and the Park Hyatt Dubai Hotel. Port Saeed has a small residential neighbourhood that was redesigned by Dubai Municipality after 2003. As a result, several new buildings were built in the area.

Floating Bridge (Arabic: الجسر العائم) is a pontoon bridge (floating bridge) located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The bridge was built between the Al Garhoud and Al Maktoum Bridges, mainly to reduce traffic on the Al Maktoum Bridge.[1] The bridge connects across the intersection near Deira City Centre and Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club and ends at the intersection of Riyadh Street, between Dubai Courts and Creek Park.[1] The bridge opened on 16 July 2007. The project cost 155 million د.إ or 42 million $US to build and has the capacity for 6,000 vehicles an hour. The bridge also serves as an alternative route for Al Maktoum Bridge where Salik was recently implemented. The Floating Bridge is the fifth crossing on Dubai Creek, the others being Al Shindagha Tunnel, Al Maktoum Bridge, Al Garhoud Bridge, and Business Bay Crossing.

National Bank of Dubai (NBD) (Arabic: بنك دبي الوطني) is a building in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The building, located in eastern Dubai in Deira, houses the headquarters of the National Bank of Dubai. The building is part of the old downtown of Dubai, along the Dubai Creek. At 125 metres (410 ft), the National Bank of Dubai is the tallest building in Deira, and was the fifth-tallest building in Dubai when built in 1998. The form of the building was inspired by the curved shape of the hulls of the traditional dhows that docked in the Dubai Creek — a concept that also inspired the shape of the Burj Al Arab.
