Pišece (pronounced [piˈʃeːtsɛ], German: Pischätz) is a village in the hills west of Bizeljsko in the Municipality of Brežice in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. It includes the hamlets of Cerenje, Libreg (German: Liberg), Okrog, Orehovec, Orešje, Pečovje, Pilštanj (German: Peilenstein), Prekoše, Sveti Križ (German: Heiligenkreuz), and Vošni Dol (German: Aschenthal). The local parish church is dedicated to Saint Michael and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Celje. It was first mentioned in written documents dating to 1406, but the current building dates to the late 18th century. Pišece Castle is a medieval castle northwest of the main settlement. It was built in the 13th century with 16th-century additions. It was an important link in the defences against Ottoman raids in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Silovec (pronounced [ˈsiːlɔʋəts], German: Silovetz) is a settlement in the hills north of Brežice in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. A Late Bronze Age hoard was discovered by chance in Heathen Cave (Slovene: Ajdovska jama) close to the settlement. It included bracelets, necklaces, sickles, and axes, all now kept by the museum in Brežice.

Osredek pri Podsredi (pronounced [ɔˈsɾeːdək pɾi pɔˈtsɾeːdi]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Kozje in eastern Slovenia. It lies in the hills south and east of Podsreda. The area is part of the historical Styria region. The municipality is now included in the Savinja Statistical Region.

Dednja Vas (pronounced [ˈdeːdnja ˈʋaːs]; Slovene: Dednja vas, German: Dittmannsdorf) is a settlement in the Municipality of Brežice in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region. It includes the hamlets of Babniki (a.k.a. Zakozolec), Cerenja Gorca, Dole, Gaberska Gorca, Sveti Križ (German: Heiligenkreuz), Rapovce (German: Rapowitz), Sela, Veliko Bukovje, Veseli Vrh (German: Freudenberg), and Vošni Dol (German: Aschenthal).The local church, built on a hill above the settlement, is dedicated to the Holy Cross and belongs to the Parish of Pišece. It is a Gothic building with ribbed vaults and trefoil mouldings on its windows. It was remodelled in the 18th century, but still retains these original features.

Trebče (pronounced [ˈtɾeːptʃɛ]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Bistrica ob Sotli in eastern Slovenia. It lies on the main road leading west from Bistrica ob Sotli to Podsreda in the adjacent Municipality of Kozje. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included in the Lower Sava Statistical Region; until January 2014 it was part of the Savinja Statistical Region.

Podsreda Castle is a fortress in Slovenia with in the Kozje region. It was formerly known as Hörberg or Herberch. The castle contains a small chapel and a defense tower.: 212  It was built in the 13th century.: 170  Then the castle was owned by the counts of Celje and the counts of Ptuj. During the Second World War the castle was nearly destroyed.: 166  However, since 1983 the castle has been under renovation by the Kozje Park Public Institute with renovations being completed in 2015.

Mali Vrh (pronounced [ˈmaːli ˈʋəɾx], German: Maliverh) is a settlement in the Municipality of Brežice in eastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. It is now included in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.The local church is dedicated to Saint James and belongs to the parish of Pišece. It was built in the 17th century on the site of an earlier church. Its nave was extended around 1800. On August 3, 2021, the church tower collapsed onto the nave. The church had been damaged by a recent earthquake and aftershocks.
