Almagro (Spanish pronunciation: [alˈmaɣɾo]) is a mostly middle-class barrio or neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The neighbourhood is delimited by La Plata avenue and Río de Janeiro street to the west, Independencia avenue to the south, Sánchez de Bustamante, Sánchez de Loria and Gallo streets to the east, and Córdoba/Estado de Israel avenues to the north. Almagro features strong commercial activity along its avenues, and has a high population density due to the many high-rise buildings erected along the railway line. The sectional government of the 6th circuit, which includes Almagro and Boedo, is located on Díaz Vélez avenue opposite Centenario park.

The University of Palermo (Spanish: Universidad de Palermo, abbreviated as UP) is a private university in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It has several buildings located in different parts of the city. The university offers several educational programs, including a double degree in Management awarded along with the London School of Economics. It has ties with the universities of Yale, Harvard and NYU among others and it is regarded as one of the best private universities in Argentina, constantly ranking in the top 5. The University of Palermo's library has more than 45,000 volumes, including audio-visual and printed material. The collection can be searched through the Internet. The university has seven departments with a total of more than 13,000 students, who come from all over the world.

Medrano is a station on Line B of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station was opened on 17 October 1930 as part of the inaugural section of the line between Federico Lacroze and Callao.

The Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires is a private hospital in Buenos Aires, capital of Argentina. It has 750 beds and serves around 2,000 inpatients per month. It has 23 medical centers distributed across the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area. Its main facilities cover a surface area of 78,000 m2 (850,000 ft²). The hospital treats both private patients and those derived by social security. It also provides its own health insurance plan, being the most important pre-paid healthcare service in Argentina, with about 150,000 clients.

Mount Ararat Square (Spanish: Plazoleta Monte Ararat) is a small park situated in the neighbourhood of Palermo, Buenos Aires. Dedicated to the Armenian community in Argentina, the square was placed in 1983, two years after the consecration of the Armenian Cathedral of Our Lady of Narek, lying just across of Mount Ararat square, on Charcas Street. Since its inauguration in March 1998, a monumental fountain sits on its northwestern tip, facing Jerónimo Salguero Street, composed by six triangular, marble-faced, red ochre granite slabs, said on the accompanying bronze plaque to represent Mount Ararat, but in disposition somewhat resembling the Tsitsernakaberd memorial in Yerevan. Some sources claim that this monument is indeed a replica of the Tsitsernakaberd of Yerevan. The Spanish text of the dedication bronze plaque itself proclaims that the monument was made to allegorise Mount Ararat, and some of the sources indicate this as well.The initiative towards the erection of this monument came in 1988 from the Senator for the Federal District Fernando de la Rúa (Unión Cívica Radical), though the draft law expired before being treated in Congress. As Chief of Government of the City of Buenos Aires, in 1998, De la Rúa - who was to become President of Argentina on the next year - proceeded to realise this belated project of his, inaugurating the square's fountain with the presence of Hovhannes Bedros XVIII, the Armenian Catholic Catolicos-Patriarch of Cilicia, and Vartán Waldir Boghossian, the Catholic Bishop for the Eparchy of the Armenians of Saint Gregory of Narek in Buenos Aires, and the attendance of notables and residents of the neighbourhood.

Centro Ameghino is a hospital in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It was founded in 1948 by the Ministry of Health, and was initially designated as the "Institute of Applied Psychopathology"

The Our Lady of Narek Cathedral (Spanish: Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Narek ) also called Armenian Cathedral of Our Lady of Narek (Catedral Armenia de Nuestra Señora de Narek) is an Armenian Catholic cathedral church that is located in the Charcas street in the city of Buenos Aires the capital of Argentina. The congregation follows the Armenian rite and is in full communion with the Pope. It is one of the five Catholic cathedrals in Buenos Aires, others following the Roman rite (Metropolitan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the Military Cathedral), Maronite Rite (Cathedral of St. Maron), Ukrainian rite (Our Lady of Patrocinio Cathedral). It should not be confused with the Armenian Cathedral of St. Gregory the Enlightener (Armenian Apostolic Church). The property on which the present structure was built was purchased in 1942 where a small chapel operated, the work of the new church was developed between 1971 and 1981 when it was officially consecrated. In 1983, the open space right in front of the church was established as Mount Ararat Square; in 1998, a monumental fountain representing Mount Ararat was inaugurated, with the attendance of the Armenian Catholic Bishop Vartán Waldir Boghossian. The temple is the main church of the Armenian Eparchy of San Gregory of Narek in Buenos Aires (Eparchia Sancti Gregorii Narekiani Bonaërensis Armenorum) created in 1989 by the bull "Cum Christifideles ritus Armeni in Republica Argentina" of the then Pope John Paul II to meet the religious needs of the local Armenian Catholic community. The church is under the pastoral responsibility of Bishop Pablo Hakimian.

Avenida Scalabrini Ortiz is an avenue that runs through Villa Crespo and Palermo neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and goes from southwest to northeast, parallel Avenida Juan B. Justo. It starts at Avenida Warnes, and ends at Avenida Figueroa Alcorta.

Carlos Gardel is a station on Line B of the Buenos Aires Underground.The station is located in the Balvanera barrio, at the intersection of Avenida Corrientes and Calle Agüero. It was opened on 17 October 1930 as part of the inaugural section of the line between Federico Lacroze and Callao.

Ángel Gallardo is a station on Line B of the Buenos Aires Underground. This is the station for Parque Centenario and the Natural History Museum. The station is located at the intersection of Avenida Corrientes and Angel Gallardo, and named after the latter. The station was opened on 17 October 1930 as part of the inaugural section of the line between Federico Lacroze and Callao. Its original name was Rio de Janeiro.

The Abasto Shopping is one of the biggest shopping mall centers in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The building was the central wholesale fruit and vegetable market in the city ("Mercado de Abasto") from 1893 to 1984. Since 1999, it has served as a shopping mall. It is also famous for being in the area where the tango singer Carlos Gardel, known as El Morocho del Abasto ("the dark-haired guy from Abasto"), lived for most of his life. Today, the surrounding area, though part of the Balvanera neighbourhood, is sometimes referred to as Abasto. The Abasto Shopping centre is served by the adjoining underground station Carlos Gardel of line B metro (subte).
