Selke-Aue

Wedderstedt is a village and a former municipality in the district of Harz, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the municipality Selke-Aue.

Gatersleben (German pronunciation: [ˈɡaːtɐsleːbən]) is a village and a former municipality in the district Salzlandkreis, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 1 September 2010, it is part of the town Seeland. It is situated southwest of Magdeburg and northwest of Halle (Saale).

Ditfurt is a municipality in the district of Harz, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

Camp Quedlinburg was a prisoner-of-war camp located 2 kilometers north of Quedlinburg, Germany, during the First World War. It was built in September 1914. From 1914 to 1922, the camp housed 12,000 to 18,000 prisoners of war on average. Around 27,000 people lived in the neighbouring city of Quedlinburg at that time. There were three official branch offices in Staßfurt, Atzendorf and Aschersleben as well as other unofficial offices in Egeln, Halberstadt, Schönebeck, Groß Rodensleben, Schadeleben and Hedersleben.

Seeland is a town in the Salzlandkreis district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated northwest of Aschersleben. It was formed by the merger of the previously independent municipalities Friedrichsaue, Frose, Hoym, Nachterstedt and Schadeleben on 15 July 2009. Before this date, these municipalities cooperated in the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") Seeland, which also contained the municipality Gatersleben. Gatersleben joined Seeland in September 2010.

Vorharz is a Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") in the Harz district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated east of Halberstadt. It was created on 1 January 2010. The seat of the Verbandsgemeinde is in Wegeleben. The Verbandsgemeinde Vorharz consists of the following municipalities: Ditfurt Groß Quenstedt Harsleben Hedersleben Schwanebeck Selke-Aue Wegeleben

Bode-Holtemme was a Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") in the district of Harz, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was situated along the rivers Bode and Holtemme, east of Halberstadt. The seat of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft was in Wegeleben. It was disbanded on 1 January 2010. The Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Bode-Holtemme consisted of the following municipalities: Groß Quenstedt Harsleben Nienhagen Schwanebeck Wegeleben

Wegeleben (German pronunciation: [ˈveːɡəˌleːbm̩] (listen)) is a town in the Harz district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is the administrative seat of the Verbandsgemeinde ("collective municipality") Vorharz.

Nachterstedt is a village and a former municipality in the district of Salzlandkreis, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Since 15 July 2009, it is part of the town Seeland.

The Concordiasee (concordia being Latin for "harmony") is an artificial lake in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is located about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) northwest of Aschersleben.

Quedlinburg was a district (Kreis) in the west of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from west clockwise) Wernigerode, Halberstadt, Bördekreis, Aschersleben-Staßfurt, Mansfelder Land, Sangerhausen and the district Nordhausen in Thuringia.

Quedlinburg station is a station on the Magdeburg–Thale railway in Quedlinburg in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. It was built in 1862 as a through station on the southern edge of the town. The Gothic Revival entrance building of 1862, together with the other parts of the nearly complete Gründerzeit ensemble, is heritage-protected. Since the conversion of part of the formerly standard-gauge line to Frose in 2006 to create the Quedlinburg–Gernrode section of the metre gauge Selke Valley Railway (Selketalbahn), it has been an interchange station between that line and the standard gauge Halberstadt–Thale railway. From 1908 to 1969, the station was also served by the line to Blankenburg, the so-called Quäke. Of the other four former Quedlinburg stations, the request stop of Quedlinburg-Quarmbeck is the only one still operating.
