Limehouse is an unincorporated community in Jasper County, South Carolina, United States. The community is located at the intersection of US 17 and SC 170, 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Hardeeville, 10 miles (16 km) north of Savannah, Georgia and buffered to its west by the Savannah National Wildlife Refuge.

May River High School is a public high school within the Beaufort County School District, located in Bluffton, South Carolina, United States. The school was opened in 2016 as a reliever to neighboring Bluffton High School, as a result of new growth and development. The school district is the southernmost district in Beaufort County. A larger K–12 campus is being constructed in the area.

The community takes its name from nearby Pritchard Farms. Pritchardville was originally built up chiefly by settlers from Ohio.Nearby St. Luke's Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Savannah National Wildlife Refuge is a 31,551-acre (12,768 ha) National Wildlife Refuge located in Chatham and Effingham counties in Georgia and Jasper County in South Carolina. Of the total area, 15,395 acres (6,230 ha) is in Georgia and 15,263 acres (6,177 ha) is in South Carolina. The refuge was established to provide sanctuary for migratory waterfowl and other birds and as a nature and forest preserve for aesthetic and conservation purposes. The refuge is one of seven refuges administered by the Savannah Coastal Refuges Complex in Hardeeville, South Carolina. The complex has a combined staff of 25 with a fiscal year 2018 budget of roughly $3,000,000.

Hardeeville is a city in Jasper and Beaufort counties in the U.S. state of South Carolina. The population was 7,473 as of the 2020 census, an increase of over 150% since 2010. Hardeeville is included within the Hilton Head Island–Bluffton metropolitan area. For many years, Hardeeville billed itself as the "Lowcountry Host" due to the prevalence of lodging and traveler-oriented facilities along U.S. Highway 17 and later Interstate 95. In recent years, the city has expanded its economic focus due to high population growth. According to Census estimates, Hardeeville posted the highest population growth rate of any municipality in South Carolina, growing 53.4 percent from 2010 to 2014.

St. Luke's Church (Bull Hill Church; St. Luke's Methodist Church) is a historic church in rural Beaufort County, South Carolina located about four miles north of Pritchardville.The original Episcopal congregation worshipped about a half mile away in a 1786 building built on land donated by John Bull. In 1824 the present building was constructed on land contributed by John Guerard, on part of what had been Bull Hill Plantation. In 1857, the Church of the Cross was built in nearby Bluffton, and services were discontinued around that time. In 1875, the church was sold to the Methodists, who use it to the present day.The church is noted for its transitional architecture bridging the Georgian style of earlier South Carolina Episcopal churches and the rising Greek Revival style. It is one of the oldest churches in the state built for Episcopal worship, and one of the few with intact slave galleries.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

Elba Island is an island in the Savannah River, near the US port city of Savannah, Georgia on the Atlantic Ocean. It functions as an import and export facility for liquefied natural gas. The island lies five miles downstream from the city of Savannah, and is part of Chatham County, Georgia. Its name comes from the Mediterranean island of Elba.In the early 1970s, the US energy company Sonat built an import and storage facility for liquefied natural gas (LNG) on the island. Another large project, completed in 2020, expanded the facility to liquefy and export natural gas. In that project, which cost about $2 billion, Kinder Morgan (a large US energy company) constructed ten liquefaction units.

The institution's campus in Beaufort houses the school's honor programs and the Department of Visual Arts & Design. The campus location on Hilton Head Island is home to the institution's program for hospitality management.

CSS Georgia, also known as State of Georgia and Ladies' Ram, was an ironclad warship built in Savannah, Georgia in 1862 during the American Civil War. The Ladies' Gunboat Association raised $115,000 for her construction to defend the port city of Savannah.
