Bossiney

Bossiney Haven (Cornish: Porth Boskyny, meaning cove at Bossiney) is a small cove in the civil parish of Tintagel. It is on the north coast of Cornwall, United Kingdom and a mile east of Tintagel and three miles west of Boscastle. The South West Coast Path closely follows the coast above the cove.Bossiney Haven is part of the Tintagel Cliffs Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) designated for its geological and wildlife interests. The cove is at the northern point of the Tintagel Geological Conservation Review site, chosen because it is a good example of a longitudinal coast, and for its hard rock coastal landforms. The cove is open to northerly winds off the Atlantic and is flanked by the Iron Age cliff castle of Willapark to the north. At low tide it is linked to Benoath Cove. An unusual part of the cliff is known as the Elephant Rock, where a high vertical arch has formed almost separating a ″narrow trunk of rock from the mainland″. This feature shows the relationship of vertical jointing to cliff features. The cove has a sandy beach which is completely covered by the tide at high water At the right hand side of the cove there is a cave that is about 60 feet in height at the entrance but only 15–20 wide. It opens up into a large cavern with two more caverns which become very dark. The cave continues after this point but the floor becomes rock and very uneven. It has been said there is a waterfall in the cave. Access to the beach is by steep steps, a route which is not suitable for wheelchairs or push chairs. There is no lifeguard coverage.

Lye Cove is a small coastal inlet near Tintagel on the north coast of Cornwall, South West England. The cove lies immediately below the Iron Age hill fort known as Willapark and nearby Lye Rock was the site of the wreck of the Italian cargo ship Iota in 1893. Above the cove is the remains of a nineteenth century lime kiln.

The Catholic Church of St Paul the Apostle, in Bossiney Road, Tintagel, Cornwall, England, UK, was built in 1967 and consecrated by the Bishop of Plymouth, Cyril Restieaux, in February 1968. It was originally a mission administered by the Canons Regular of the Lateran based in Bodmin, services being held in the Social Hall, Trevena. It is now administered as part of the Plymouth Diocese and is part of the Parish of Bodmin which consists of churches in Bodmin, Wadebridge, Padstow and Tintagel. Fr. Bryan Storey was priest from 1973 until his death 26 July 2018. He was priest in charge for 45 years.

Halgabron (pronounced: Halgáybron; Cornish: Halgigbran, meaning marsh of the carrion-crow) is a hamlet in the parish of Tintagel, Cornwall, England. Halgabron is east of Bossiney. The family of Robartes once held land at Halgabron. Halgabron mill was built on the Trevillet River in the 19th century. It is in the civil parish of Michaelstow

Trenale is a hamlet in north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is located within the civil parish of Tintagel, to the south-east of Tintagel village.Near Trenale was the Iron Age fort of Trenale Bury which was ploughed up during the Second World War. The first Methodist meeting house in the parish of Tintagel was established at Trenale in 1807.

Rocky Valley (Cornish: Glynn Duwy, meaning deep valley of the river Duwy) is a small valley in the parish of Tintagel, north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The valley has been carved by the Trevillet River (Cornish: Duwy, meaning dark river) in Trethevy around one mile east of Tintagel. At their highest point the slate canyon walls tower over seventy feet above the river below. Rocky Valley was mentioned in travel books as a place of exceptional beauty as early as 1897. The valley is owned by the National Trust and is home to 161 different species of moss. Saint Nectan's Glen is an area of woodland stretching for around one mile along both banks of the Trevillet River; its most prominent feature is St Nectan's Kieve. The South West Coast Path descends into and out of the valley a little way inland due to the sheer cliffs on the coast; the rocks at the seaward end of the valley are dangerous and people have been swept off by freak waves.In 2007 some of the bridges over the Trevillet River were washed away during flash floods caused by heavy rains. These have since been replaced.

Tintagel () or Trevena (Cornish: Tre war Venydh, meaning Village on a Mountain) is a civil parish and village situated on the Atlantic coast of Cornwall, England. The village and nearby Tintagel Castle are associated with the legends surrounding King Arthur and in recent times has become a tourist attraction.

King Arthur's Great Halls (opened 1933) is a Grade II* listed building in Fore Street, Tintagel, Cornwall, England, UK. Built in the early 1930s by Frederick Thomas Glasscock (died 1934), it originally served as the headquarters for a social organization known as the Order of the Fellowship of the Knights of the Round Table. It contains some works of art relating to the Arthurian legend and is now a popular visitor attraction for Arthurian enthusiasts, and has a bookshop devoted to the subject at the front of the building.

Tintagel Old Post Office is a 14th-century stone house, built to the plan of a medieval manor house, situated in Tintagel, Cornwall, United Kingdom. The house, and its surrounding cottage garden, are in the ownership of the National Trust, and the building is Grade I listed.The name dates from the Victorian period when it briefly held a licence to be the letter receiving station for the district. The Trust has restored it to this condition. It was among the early acquisitions of the Trust (1903) and closes in the winter months. The building was acquired by the Trust from its owner Catherine Eliza Johns (died 1925) who had employed the architect Detmar Blow to renovate it in 1896. (Blow was also responsible for some buildings at Treknow in the 1890s.) Catherine Johns had bought it in 1895 to prevent its demolition. She and a number of other artists then raised money to enable the National Trust to buy it from her.

Trethevy (Cornish: Tredhewi) is a hamlet in north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is midway between the villages of Tintagel and Boscastle in the civil parish of Tintagel. Trethevy has a number of historic buildings and is an early Christian site. The hamlet is divided by the B3263 road which continues through Trevalga to Boscastle: the main settlement is south-east of the road and to the north-west is the Rocky Valley. There are two other Trethevys in Cornwall. Trethevy in the parish of St Cleer (Trethewy, 1284) and Trethevy in South Petherwin parish (Trethewy, 1332). There are a further two places spelled Trethevey: Trethevey in St Mabyn parish (Tiwardeui, 1201) and Trethevey in Luxulyan (Trethewy, 1302). Additionally there are four places spelled Trethewey: Trethewey in Germoe (Trethewy, 1327), Trethewey in St Ervan (Trethewy, 1286), Trethewey in St Levan (Trethewy, 1320) and Trethewey in St Martin (Trethewy, 1371). All of these come from the Cornish Tredhewy meaning Dewi's Farm, apart from the one in St Mabyn which comes from Ty war Duwy meaning house on the river Dewey.
