Miquelon Lake

Miquelon Lake Provincial Park is a provincial park in Alberta, Canada, about 65 kilometres southeast of the city of Edmonton. The park features several lakes, the largest of them being Miquelon Lake.

Hay Lakes is a village in central Alberta, Canada. It is located along Highway 21, approximately 32 km (20 mi) north of Camrose and 50 km (31 mi) southeast of Edmonton. Hay Lakes was pioneered and settled primarily by immigrants from Sweden and Norway. Hay Lakes' founding pioneer was James McKernan who established a telegraph station in the area in 1876. In 1911 the Canadian National Railway began its Edmonton to Calgary line which ran through Hay Lakes. Hay Lakes was incorporated as a village in 1928. It was known as the Village of Hay Lake between 1928 and 1932.

Braim is an unincorporated community in Alberta, Canada within Camrose County that is recognized as a designated place by Statistics Canada. It is located on the east side of Highway 833, 2.4 km (1.5 mi) north of Highway 13. It is adjacent to the City of Camrose to the south and the Camrose Airport to the east.

A computer is available for pilots to obtain weather and NOTAM information. North Cooking Lake is a hamlet in Alberta, Canada within Strathcona County. It is located on Highway 630 and on the northeast shore of Cooking Lake, approximately 24 kilometres (15 mi) southeast of Sherwood Park. It is 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south of the Waskehegan Staging Area entrance to Cooking Lake-Blackfoot Grazing, Wildlife Provincial Recreation Area. Due to the multiple lakes nearby with sandy beaches, North Cooking Lake was known as one of Edmonton's recreation and resort spots in the early 1900s (decade). It was so popular that special trains operated to bring vacationers to the North Cooking Lake Station where steamers and motor boats delivered them to different resorts. Once a teeming playground, North Cooking Lake is now a peaceful residential retreat.

Camrose ( KAM-rohz) is a city in central Alberta, Canada that is surrounded by Camrose County. Located along Highway 13 it had its beginnings as a railroad hub.

Camrose County is a municipal district in central Alberta, Canada. It is located in Census Division 10, around the City of Camrose.

CFCW-FM (98.1 MHz, New Country 98.1) is a radio station licensed to Camrose, Alberta. Owned by Stingray Radio, it broadcasts a country format. The station began broadcasting in 2003 with a country format that had moved over to CKRA-FM in Edmonton in 2005 to make room for the adult hits format on 98.1 FM, known at the time as 98.1 CAM-FM. As of November 30, 2017, the country format returned to the station now rebranded as New Country 98.1.

The 2008 Continental Cup of Curling was the 6th edition of this event and was held from December 18–21, 2008 at the EnCana Arena in Camrose, Alberta. It was the first edition of the Continental Cup in which teams outside of North America and Europe competed, due to the outstanding performance of the Chinese teams in the previous year's men's and women's world championships. To reflect the expanded participation, the team opposing North America was renamed from "Team Europe" to "Team World". The World Curling Federation named the six rinks representing Team World. The Canada Cup of Curling, Tournament of Hearts and Brier winners automatically qualify as the Canadian rinks in Team North America, while the American contingent in Team North America are represented by their men's and women's champions. The event was won by Team World by a score of 208-192, with the winning points scored in the fourth end in the men's featured skins game. The prize purse was $88,400 (CAD); each member of the winning team received $2000, while each member of the losing team received $1400. The Continental Divide, the entertainment centre, was located at the adjacent Border Paving Arena. The ice technician is Tim Yeo.

The Beaver Hills (Cree: ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒋᐩ, romanized: amiskwaciy, lit. 'beaver hills'), also known as the Beaver Hills Moraine and the Cooking Lake Moraine, are a rolling upland region in Central Alberta, just to the east of Edmonton, the provincial capital. It consists of 1,572 square kilometres (607 sq mi) of "knob and kettle" terrain, containing many glacial moraines and depressions filled with small lakes. The landform lies partly within five different counties, Strathcona, Leduc, Beaver, Lamont and Camrose. The area is relatively undeveloped compared to the surrounding region, and is protected in part by Elk Island National Park, the Cooking Lake–Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area, the Ministik Bird Sanctuary, Miquelon Lake Provincial Park and a number of smaller provincial natural areas. Since 2016 Beaver Hills has been a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve.

Augustana University College was a Lutheran college in Camrose, Alberta, Canada, from 1910 until it merged in 2004 with the University of Alberta, becoming its Augustana Faculty.

The Chester Ronning Centre for the Study of Religion and Public Life is a research centre on the University of Alberta's Augustana Campus in Camrose, Alberta. It is the first such centre in a public university in Canada to focus on the intersection of religion and public life.
