North Cooking Lake

Antler Lake is a hamlet in Alberta, Canada within Strathcona County. It is located on the shores of Antler Lake on Range Road 211 and 211A just north of Wye Road, approximately 18 km (11 mi) east of Sherwood Park and 25 km (16 mi) northwest of Tofield. Antler Lake consists of residences developed on the eastern and southern shores of the lake, with some also developed on Hazelnut Island. It also has two playgrounds and access to outdoor recreation opportunities in the surrounding area. The hamlet is near the Strathcona Wilderness Centre, Cooking Lake - Blackfoot Grazing, Wildlife and Provincial Recreation Area, and the Elk Island National Park of Canada. Antler Lake is also situated within 5 km (3.1 mi) of the Uncas Elementary School, which many of the local children attend.

The Beaver Hills (Cree: ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒋᐩ, romanized: amiskwaciy, lit. 'beaver hills'), also known as the Beaver Hills Moraine and the Cooking Lake Moraine, are a rolling upland region in Central Alberta, just to the east of Edmonton, the provincial capital. It consists of 1,572 square kilometres (607 sq mi) of "knob and kettle" terrain, containing many glacial moraines and depressions filled with small lakes. The landform lies partly within five different counties, Strathcona, Leduc, Beaver, Lamont and Camrose. The area is relatively undeveloped compared to the surrounding region, and is protected in part by Elk Island National Park, the Cooking Lake–Blackfoot Provincial Recreation Area, the Ministik Bird Sanctuary, Miquelon Lake Provincial Park and a number of smaller provincial natural areas. Since 2016 Beaver Hills has been a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve.

Improvement District No. 13, or Improvement District No. 13 (Elk Island), is an improvement district in Alberta, Canada. Coextensive with Elk Island National Park in central Alberta, the improvement district provides local governance for lands within the park.

The Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village (Ukrainian: Село спадщини української культури, romanized: Selo spadshchyny ukrains’koi kul’tury) is an open-air museum that uses costumed historical interpreters to recreate pioneer settlements in east central Alberta, Canada, northeast and east of Edmonton. In particular it shows the lives of Ukrainian Canadian settlers from the years 1899 to 1930. Buildings from surrounding communities have been moved to the historic site and restored to various years within the first part of the twentieth century. "The Village", as it is colloquially known, has a very strong commitment to historical authenticity and the concept of living history. The Village uses a technique known as first-person interpretation which requires that the costumed performers remain in character at all times (or as much as is feasibly possible). Actors answer all questions as if it is the year their building portrays. Although this technique is startling for some visitors at first, it allows for a much stronger experience of immersion in history than traditional third-person interpretation, where the actor acknowledges that he is, in fact, in a museum. The village is in Lamont County on the Yellowhead highway, on the eastern edge of Elk Island National Park.

Strathcona was a provincial electoral district in Alberta, Canada, mandated to return a single member to the Legislative Assembly of Alberta using the first past the post method of voting from 1905 to 1913 and again from 2004 to 2012. It was renamed Edmonton South in 1917 and subsumed in a city-wide multiple-member district of Edmonton from 1921 to 1956. From 1959 to 1967 Strathcona Centre covered much of the old Strathcona district, with two or three other districts also bearing the Strathcona prefix. Later it took on the name Edmonton-Strathcona. The name Strathcona is now applied to the Strathcona County area outside the Edmonton corporate electoral district.

Miquelon Lake Provincial Park is a provincial park in Alberta, Canada, about 65 kilometres southeast of the city of Edmonton. The park features several lakes, the largest of them being Miquelon Lake.

Ardrossan is a hamlet in Alberta, Canada, within Strathcona County. It is located on Highway 824, approximately 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) east of Sherwood Park. The community takes its name from Ardrossan, in Scotland. Ardrossan is located directly to the east of Sherwood Park, and is just south of the Yellowhead Highway on Range Road 222. It can also be accessed by Township Road 530 coming out of Sherwood Park. Ardrossan has a large recreation complex.

Miquelon Lake () is a saline lake in Alberta, Canada, in the heart of Miquelon Lake Provincial Park. The lake is no longer accessible for recreation as its water levels have dropped drastically since the 1920s. The lake is relatively shallow, only allowing for paddle boats such as canoes or kayaks. High salinity levels stunt the growth of algae and are responsible for the loss of fish life and the white residue found along the shoreline.
