It is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Lower Sava Statistical Region.Ancient Roman artefacts, mostly masonry, have been found in the area, mostly in the location of a destroyed medieval church dedicated Saint Alexander, mentioned in written documents dating to 1274, but already destroyed by the 17th century.

It is a Gothic church that contains mid-15th century frescos. The nave was reconstructed and repainted in the 17th century. The belfry dates to 1601.
