Laagri, Tallinn

Laagri railway station (Estonian: Laagri raudteepeatus) is a station in Laagri, in the Nõmme district of Tallinn, Estonia, approximately 13 kilometers (8 mi) southwest from the Baltic station (Estonian: Balti jaam) which is the main railway station of Tallinn, near the Baltic Sea. The Laagri railway station is located between Pääsküla and Urda railway stations of Tallinn-Keila railway. The station was officially opened in 1932 but unofficially in 1928. There is one platform along the one-track railway, 141 meters long. Elron's electric trains from Tallinn to Keila, Paldiski, Turba and Klooga-Rand stop at Laagri station. The station belongs to the Zone I, within which traffic is free for Tallinners and is the beginning of Zone II. Laagri railway station serves the Laagri sub-district of Nõmme and Laagri borough of Saue parish which in combination has approximately 6400 residents. There is a possibility to transfer to TLT (Tallinn City Transport) bus lines 10, 14, 18 and 18A at a nearby bus station on Pärnu maantee. Bus station for bus line 20A is a little further from Laagri railway station on Veskitammi tänav. In 2020, there were approximately 42 train departures per day at Laagri railway station towards Tallinn city center.In 2020, Tallinn announced plans to open new train lines inside of the Tallinn city territory in the next 15 years. According to plan, no new railways have to be constructed, but some railways that are currently in use only for freight are planned to also accommodate commuter trains in the near future. One of the new lines is planned to run between two rapidly developing areas of Ülemiste and Kopli. Second line would be the already in use line Balti jaam - Laagri (currently Balti jaam - Pääsküla). Three transfer stations to hop to the other line are also planned located in Kristiine (Lilleküla station), Tondi and Järve. City is planning to use trains that belong to Elron. These trains would go back and forth the city's internal lines. The main reason for this is to have more departures inside the city, so that more people would prefer commuter trains as their main transportation mean. However, in order to implement this plan, it is necessary to acquire additional trains, build transfer stations and proper railway infrastructure, especially on the prospective Ülemiste-Kopli line. This most probably means that Laagri station would have two-lane railway in the near future instead of one-line railway.

Laagri is a small borough (Estonian: alevik) in Harju County, northern Estonia. It is located in Saue Parish. As of the 2011 census, the settlement's population was 5,165.

Laagri Stadium (also known as Laagri kunstmurustaadion or as Laagri kooli staadion) is a multi-purpose stadium in Laagri, Saue Parish, Estonia, located just 200 metres from the border of Tallinn. Opened in 2005, it hosts the matches of football clubs Harju JK and Saue JK.

AS Eesti Liinirongid, operating as Elron, is a government-owned passenger train operator in Estonia. The company was separated from Eesti Raudtee in 1998. Before 2014, the company operated exclusively the electrified commuter rail system in Harjumaa, and was known until October 2013 as Elektriraudtee, i.e. "the Electrical Railway". On January 1, 2014 Elron took over all domestic passenger train services in Estonia from Edelaraudtee.

Urda railway station (Estonian: Urda raudteepeatus) is a railway station serving the southern part of the Laagri borough of Saue parish in Harju County in northern Estonia.The Urda railway station is located on the Tallinn-Keila railway line, between Laagri and Padula railway stations and approximately 15 kilometers (8 mi) southwest from the Baltic station (Estonian: Balti jaam) which is the main railway station of Tallinn. The station was officially opened in 2008.In 2022 the second track through Urda station was completed, and the station now has two 150 meters long platforms. Elron's electric trains from Tallinn to Keila, Paldiski, Turba and Klooga-Rand stop at Urda station.In 2024, there were approximately 44 train departures per day at Laagri railway station towards Tallinn city center.

Pääsküla station (Estonian: Pääsküla raudteepeatus, previous Russian name was Petrovskaja Sloboda until 1919) is a railway station in Pääsküla in Nõmme district of Tallinn, Estonia, approximately 11 kilometers (6,8 mi) southwest from the Baltic station (Estonian: Balti jaam) which is the main railway station of Tallinn, near the Baltic Sea. The Pääsküla railway station is located between Kivimäe and Laagri railway stops of Tallinn-Keila railway. The station was opened in 1915. There are two platforms along the three-lane railway, both 150 meters long. Elron's electric trains from Tallinn to Keila, Paldiski, Turba and Klooga-Rand stop at Pääsküla station. The station belongs to the Zone I, within which traffic is free for Tallinners. The main railway depot of Estonia is located nearby the Pääsküla station. Pääsküla railway station serves the Pääsküla sub-district which has approximately 9800 residents. There is a possibility to transfer to bus line 27 and 20 at nearby bus station on Pärnu maantee. Bus station for bus line 14, 18 and 18A is about 500 meters from the Pääsküla railway station on Vabaduse puiestee. In 1916 a wooden station building was completed and the first story of the building was added in 1926. Ticket sales in the station building ended in 1997.In 2020, there were approximately 58 train departures per day at Pääsküla railway station towards Tallinn city center.

Pääsküla (Estonian for "Passage Village") is a subdistrict (Estonian: asum) in the district of Nõmme, Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It covers an area of 5.95 km2 (2.30 sq mi) and has a population of 9,948 (As of 1 January 2014), population density is 1,611.1/km2 (4,173/sq mi). Pääsküla has a station on the Elron western route.

Saue Parish (Estonian: Saue vald) is a rural municipality in Harju County, north-western Estonia.The administrative centre of Saue Parish is Saue. It is situated in the suburban area of Estonia's capital, Tallinn. After the administrative reform of Estonia in 2017, the historical Saue Parish was merged into new Saue Parish (together with Saue, Kernu and Nissi), retaining its name.

Keila Parish (Estonian: Keila vald) was a rural municipality in north-western Estonia. It was a part of Harju County. The municipality had a population of 3,995 (as of 1 January 2004) and covered an area of 178.97 km2. The population density was 22.3 inhabitants per km2. Local administration of the municipality was located in the town of Keila, although the town itself constitutes separate urban municipality and was not part of Keila Parish. In Keila Parish there were 3 small boroughs (Estonian: alevikud): Karjaküla, Klooga, Keila-Joa and 19 villages (Estonian: külad): Illurma, Käesalu, Keelva, Kersalu, Kloogaranna, Kulna, Laoküla, Laulasmaa, Lehola, Lohusalu, Maeru, Meremõisa, Nahkjala, Niitvälja, Ohtu, Põllküla, Tõmmiku, Tuulna, Valkse. Keila Parish was one of the four municipalities merged into Lääne-Harju Parish with the administrative reform of 2017. The last mayor (vallavanem) from 2014 to 2017 was Jaan Alver from the Estonian Reform Party.

Padula railway station (Estonian: Padula raudteepeatus) is a railway station in Saue parish in Harju County in northern Estonia. It is located on the border between the small borough of Laagri and the village of Koidu. The stop is named after the Padula inn and farm that was once located in the area. The Padula railway station is located on the Tallinn-Keila railway line, between Urda and Saue railway stations and approximately 15 kilometers (8 mi) southwest from the Baltic station (Estonian: Balti jaam) which is the main railway station of Tallinn. The station was officially opened in 2008 together with Kitseküla and Urda railway stations. Only Elron's electric trains from Tallinn to Turba stop at Padula station. In 2024, there were approximately 15 train departures per day at Padula railway station towards Tallinn city center.

Koidu is a village in Saue Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia. It's located southwest of Estonian capital Tallinn (about 13 km (8 mi) from the city centre), just next to Laagri, the administrative centre of the municipality. The town of Saue is situated about 3.8 km (2 mi) southwest. Koidu is bordered by the Vääna River to the southwest and by the Tallinn–Keila–Paldiski railway to the southeast. There's a station named "Padula" in Koidu village. Koidu village was established on 16 July 2012 by detaching the land from Alliku village. The initiative came from the local community.

Tänassilma is a village in Saku Parish, Harju County in northern Estonia.Tänassilma Technological Village (Tänassilma tehnopark) is located on the Pärnu road near the Tallinn city boundary.
