Bethany Congregational Church (Thomasville, Georgia)

The Fletcherville Historic District is a 38 acres (15 ha) historic district which is roughly bounded by Siexas, Wright, S. College and W. Jackson St. in Thomasville, Georgia. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The oldest houses in the district are along South College Street and Fletcher Street facing what was formerly a square at the center of Fletcherville. The square originally was the site of the Fletcher Institute and is now the location of Harper School, and with its open area it remains "a significant landscape feature of the district."The district includes the Arthur P. Wright House at 415 Fletcher Avenue, in the next block up from the square, which is separately listed on the National Register.Predominant architecture is Bungalow/Craftsman, Greek Revival, and Victorian Eclectic. Most of the buildings in the district are modest one-story wood-frame houses. Examples of two-story houses are at 427 Fletcher, 126 College, 519 West Jackson, and 116 Siexas. Many houses have a front porch or portico with bracketed posts or Doric or Ionic columns. Some have dormer windows or Palladian windows.The district also includes some non-contributing buildings including two modern church complexes, the Harper School, and several non-historic houses.

The Gordon Avenue Historic District in Thomasville, Georgia is a 24 acres (9.7 ha) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Its five contributing buildings are houses on large lots on Gordon Avenue, an avenue which radiates to the southeast of the center of Thomasville. The properties are the two lots before Junius Street and the three lots after, on the right, when heading south on Gordon, at numbers 924, 936, 1008, 1012, and 1104. The first two are Classical Revival buildings with monumental porticos having Doric columns.The properties were deemed significant for the architecture of the buildings, for the landscaping of the properties, and for its local history. It was asserted that Gordon Avenue was, in the late 1800s, "a popular street for driving carriages and bicycles, rivaling Paradise Park and Pinetree Boulevard in the beauty of its wooded areas."Note, the Gordon Avenue Apartments at 424 Gordon Ave. was also listed on the NRHP, in 1983.

The Wright House is a historic house located at 415 Fletcher St. in Thomasville, Georgia.

The Thomasville Depot in Thomasville, Georgia was built in 1914. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The station served the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. In later years it served the ACL's successor, the Seaboard Coast Line, and also Amtrak. Trains included the South Wind (Illinois Central Chicago–Miami train, running over ACL, later, SCL lines) and Amtrak's Floridian (also Chicago–Miami). The station also served a side branch of the ACL's (later, SCL) Champion originating in Montgomery, Alabama and heading northeast to New York City. Passenger service ended with the demise of the Floridian in 1979. The depot building has two stories and some Mission/Spanish Revival styling. The listing included the depot building, a train platform shed, and a Railway Express Agency (REA) building.The three buildings are also contributing buildings in the Thomasville Commercial Historic District.

The Gordon Avenue Apartments is an apartment building at 424 Gordon Avenue in Thomasville, Georgia which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is a Tudor Revival building designed by Atlanta architects Daniell and Beutell and built in 1929.Note that Gordon Avenue Historic District, an NRHP-listed district consisting of five houses and their grounds, is further out Gordon Avenue.

Paradise Park Historic District is located in Thomasville, Georgia. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places 1984 with an increase in 2002. It consists of Thomasville's Paradise Park, and properties including 15 contributing buildings and one non-contributing building. The area, subdivided from the S. Alexander Smith estate, was known as "Yankee's Paradise" at the turn of the 20th century, when Northern visitors had winter homes and cottages in the area. Residents included George Forbes, owner of Forbes Furniture and Hardware; W.S. Keefer, president of the Thomasville Cigar Company; Charles Hebard, a Philadelphia-based lumber "magnate"; and Judge Strawbridge, a clothing distributor.The increase added the property at 502 South Broad Street as a contributing building and provided documentation justifying reclassification to "contributing" of a previously non-contributing building.At the time of National Register listing, "East Hansell" was the name of the street along the southeast side of the park. By 2013 the street was termed "South Hansell". The street continues as West Hansell across Broad Street.Contributing buildings include: Hebard House (1891 or 1899-1900), 711 East Hansell, likely constructed by builder William Miller,: 3  built as a winter residence for Charles S. Hebard. Separately listed on the National Register in 1970 as "Park Front". It is a two-and-a-half-story mansion with a two-story portico supported by four columns, enclosing a small second-story porch. Its front doorway has a simple architrave divided in three parts. It has dentils detailing its cornice and fascia. Keefer House, 817 South Hansell Street, a large Victorian Eclectic house, bordered by a white picket fence. Built in 1893. Originally owned by William Scott Keefer. William owned an ice plant in Thomasville.: 2 : 3  701 East Hansell: 3  110 East Hansell: 3  Buildings on others of the nine properties on East Hansell Street facing the park.: 7  Historic carriage house of one of the East Hansell Street properties. Perhaps this is the one property on East Loomis Street.: 7  900 South Broad: 3  Strawbridge House (1899), 704 South Broad, constructed by builder James Gribben.: 3  Tuck House (1940), 701 South Broad Street. One-story ranch house with "applied Greek Revival elements", built for Dr. and Mrs. Albert C. Tuck, designed by Roderick Brantley. It serves as McDonald's area office. Not deemed to be historic in the original historic district, due to its date of construction, but later accepted. The property at 701 South Broad is bordered by an old wrought-iron fence.: 2  Neel House (1907), 502 South Broad Street, a two-story Neoclassical house with full-height portico and one-story porch with classical columns. Converted to apartments in 1930, damaged by fire in 1978, became a bed-and-breakfast inn sometime later. Not included in original historic district due to owner objection.

The company is continually expanding its market reach through acquisitions and by stretching its current territory. Flowers' Warehouse Segment is responsible for the national distribution of frozen snack cakes, bread, and rolls that are sold directly to the customer's warehouses. Flowers owns the brands Mrs. Freshley's and European Bakers. Mrs. Freshley's produces snack cakes, which are available nationally to retail and vending customers through this segment. The European Bakers brand of frozen specialty bread and rolls are available nationally to retail in-store bakeries and foodservice customers.

Thomasville is the county seat of Thomas County, Georgia, United States. The population was 18,881 in 2020. The city deems itself the "City of Roses" and holds an annual Rose Festival. The city features plantations open to the public, a historic downtown, a large farmer's market, and an oak tree from about 1680 at the corner of Monroe and Crawford streets.

The Thomas Night Hawks are the athletic teams that represent Thomas University, located in Thomasville, Georgia, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC). In the 2013–14 season, basketball returned to Thomas after a 13-year hiatus. In the inaugural game, the Nighthawks men were victorious over visiting Florida National University by a score of 82–71. In 2014, the school added a competitive dance team. In 2022, football was added.On July 1, 2022, Thomas announced that they would leave the Sun Conference to join the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC), starting in the 2023–24 academic year.

Park Front, a house at 711 S. Hansell St. in Thomasville, Georgia, was built in 1891. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. It has also been known as Charles Hebard House and as Frances Stone House. It was a winter residence for Charles S. Hebard. In 1969 it was owned by Frances Stone.It was perhaps designed by William Miller or by James Gribben, who both were active architects in the area.It is a two-and-a-half-story mansion with a two-story portico supported by four columns. Its front doorway has a simple architrave divided in three parts. It has dentils detailing its cornice and fascia. There is a small second-story porch within the portico.The "Park Front" name derived from its location across from Paradise Park.The house is also a contributing building in the Paradise Park Historic District, listed on the National Register in 1984.

The Ephraim Ponder House in Thomasville, Georgia, also known as the Sholar House, was built c.1854-56 It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.It was built by Epraim Ponder, and served part of old Young's Female College in Thomasville in 1869 and latterly as home of the president of the old College. At the time of NRHP listing it was owned by John Sholar and wife.Its south facade is Greek Revival in style and faces the former Female College property.
