The Letten Tunnel (German: Lettentunnel) is a disused railway tunnel in the Swiss city of Zürich. It is situated on the old route of the Lake Zürich right bank railway (Rechtsufrige Zürichseebahn) from Zurich Hbf station to Rapperswil station. Radical changes to the local railway geography led to the tunnel being superseded in 1990, and closed and sealed by 2002.As built in 1894, the right bank railway was a single track line that departed from Zürich Hbf in a westerly direction, before performing a clockwise 270 degrees turn via a viaduct over the Limmat, the principal river flowing through the city of Zürich. It then passed through Letten station and the Letten Tunnel in order to reach Stadelhofen station. By rail the distance between Zurich Hbf and Stadelhofen was some 5 kilometres (3.1 mi), despite the fact that they are only 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) apart in a straight line. In 1990 the Letten Tunnel was replaced by the Hirschengraben Tunnel, which took a direct route from new through low-level platforms at Zurich Hbf under the Limmat to Stadelhofen. After the new route opened, the original railway line and tunnel fell into disuse. The railway line was closed in 1998, and by 2002 it had been removed, and the tunnel was filled in and sealed off.The northern portal of the tunnel can still be observed from a location close to the former Letten railway station and the Letten power station on the banks of the Limmat. The northern approaches to the tunnel, including the bridge over the Limmat, are now used as a cycle and pedestrian path.

The Milchbuck Tunnel is a motor road tunnel in Switzerland, and forms part of the A1L motorway from Zürich Schwamendingen to Zürich Letten, where the tunnel's southern portal lies on Wasserwerkstrasse, which leads into central Zürich. Constructed in 1978, the tunnel is 1,910 metres (6,270 ft) in length.A proposed second tunnel bore (to create two separate tunnels for two directions of traffic) was turned down. Now, only one lane handles traffic into downtown Zurich, one lane handle traffic leaving the city, with an emergency lane in the middle. By 2006, the emergency services in the tunnel has been upgraded, with the escape path being added. At the northern portal in the direction to the city, the entrance to Irchel underground car park is to the left of the lane. At about the midpoint of the Milchbuck tunnel, the Weinberg rail tunnel passes beneath it.

The Sihl is a Swiss river that rises near the Druesberg mountain in the canton of Schwyz, and eventually flows into the Limmat in the centre of the city of Zürich. It has a length of 73 km (45 mi), including the Sihlsee reservoir, through which the river flows. Water is abstracted from the river at the Sihlsee, leading to decreased downstream water flows and a consequent reduction in water quality.The river flows through, or along the border of, the cantons of Schwyz, Zürich and Zug. The main settlements of the Sihl Valley are all in the canton of Zürich, and include the towns of Langnau am Albis and Adliswil, along with a south-western segment of the city of Zürich. Above Langnau am Albis, some 13 km (8.1 mi) from the confluence with the Limmat, there are no major settlements alongside the river, and only a few small villages. Whilst the town of Einsiedeln is situated close to the Sihlsee, it is actually in the valley of a tributary river, the Alp.

The Museum of Design, Zürich (German: Museum für Gestaltung Zürich) is a museum for industrial design, visual communication, architecture, and craft in Zurich, Switzerland.

Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK, German: Zürcher Hochschule der Künste) has approximately 2,500 students, which makes it the largest arts university in Switzerland. The university was established in 2007, following the merger between Zurich's School of Art and Design (HGKZ) and the School of Music, Drama, and Dance (HMT). ZHdK is one of four universities affiliated to Zürcher Fachhochschule. ZHdK offers Bachelor's and master's degree courses and further education programmes in art, design, music, art education, theatre, film, dance, transdisciplinary studies as well as PhD programmes in collaboration with different international Art Universities and with ETH Zurich. ZHdK holds an active role in research, especially in artistic research and design research.Affiliated to ZHdK are the Museum of Design, Zurich, the Theater der Künste (Theatre of the Arts), the Mehrspur Music Club, and the Media and Information Centre (MIZ).

The Drosos Foundation (German: Drosos Stiftung) is a non-profit, charitable organization based in Zurich, Switzerland. Established in late 2003 with capital from a private endowment, the foundation was fully active by early 2005. The foundation is involved with more than 100 projects as of 2015, which work to fight poverty, promote health, increase access to education and creative activities for youth, and protect the environment. The foundation also has offices in Cairo, and Casablanca.

The Association of Islamic Organisations in Zurich (VIOZ; ‹See Tfd›German: Vereinigung der Islamischen Organisationen in Zürich) was founded in 1995 and is with more than 30 member organizations the largest cantonal Islamic umbrella organization in Switzerland. VIOZ member organizations operate over 40 mosques in the Canton of Zurich, which represents about 90% of all Zurich masjids. VIOZ cooperates with two national organizations, the Federation of Islamic Umbrella Organizations in Switzerland (FIDS) and the Coordination of Islamic Organisations Switzerland (KIOS). Since March 2019 VIOZ is a member of FIDS. VIOZ is the longtime partner of the city and the Canton of Zurich and is committed to the interests of the Muslims and their affiliates in the spirit of consensus. In addition, VIOZ is constantly in contact with the state and other religious and social institutions becoming a co-designer of the Inter-religious dialogue in the canton of Zurich.

Autonomous School Zurich (ASZ, Autonome Schule Zürich in German) is a grassroot project in Switzerland. This school is run by immigrants as well as Swiss locals. Since 2009 the association "Bildung für Alle" provides education for all under the shelter of the Autonomous School Zurich. On offer are diverse educational and cultural activities for everyone both for undocumented refugees, the socially excluded and all other interested people.

The Platzspitz park is a park in Zurich (Switzerland), located next to the Swiss National Museum and Zürich Hauptbahnhof.

The Swiss School of Public Governance (SSPG) is a center of teaching and research at the ETH Zurich, focusing on governance and leadership issues in the public sector.Established in 2016, the center operates within the Department of Management, Technology, and Economics at ETH Zurich. It integrates Switzerland's governance expertise with a global outlook and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration with various departments and external institutions, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice in governance and leadership. SSPG provides executive education programs for public administration employees, federal institution staff, and professionals from diverse sectors, including the private industry, international organizations, and NGOs.

The Center for Comparative and International Studies (CIS) is a political science research institute founded in 1997 and based in Zürich. It is joint initiative between the institute of political science of the University of Zurich and the political science chairs of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. The director of the institute is Frank Schimmelfennig, Professor of European Politics. The staff (as of 2016) is 170.

The Campus Biotech is a Swiss institution hosting research institutes and biotechnology companies. The Campus Biotech is located in the former Merck Serono building, in Geneva (Switzerland).The Campus Biotech is a part of the Swiss Innovation Park.
