A statue of Captain Albert Ball stands in Nottingham Castle Gardens, in Nottingham, England. It comprises a bronze sculpture by Henry Poole which depicts the British fighter pilot Captain Albert Ball VC DSO & Two Bars, MC accompanied by an allegorical female figure, standing on a stone pedestal by the architect Edwin Alfred Rickards. The memorial was unveiled in 1921, was listed at Grade II in 1972, upgraded to Grade I in 2017.

Newdigate House is a Grade II* listed building on Castle Gate, Nottingham. The house was built for Thomas Charlton the younger, of Chilwell. He sold it in 1683 to Samuel Staples of Nottingham who leased it to Camille d'Hostun, duc de Tallard who was effectively kept prisoner in it from 1705 to 1711 after defeat in the Battle of Blenheim in 1704.In 1716 the house was sold to Thomas Newdigate, the 6th son of Sir Richard Newdigate, 1st Baronet of Arbury Hall, Warwickshire. He commissioned Francis Foulgham to make the wrought-iron screen and gates which survive at the front of the house, enclosing the court yard. It was lived in by subsequent members of the Newdigate family until 1790 when it was sold to Mrs Thomas Wright. She arranged for William Stretton to make some changes. The house was sold again in 1817. In 1905 the building was being used by W. Lee, Antiques Dealer, and was put up for sale.In 1915 the house was used by the Domestic Workers’ Sub-Committee of the War Relief Fund as an office.In 1960 the house became the United Services Club, and is now part of World Service restaurant.

Nottingham Castle is a once-fortified castle in Nottingham, England, later replaced by a Stuart Restoration era ducal palace. The Castle's original Norman construction was begun in 1068 and added to extensively through the Medieval period. In the Middle Ages, it was an important royal fortress and occasional royal residence. In decline by the 16th century, the original Castle was largely demolished in 1651, after the English Civil War, aside from its walls and gates. The site occupies a commanding position on a natural promontory known as "Castle Rock", with cliffs 130 feet (40 m) high to the south and west which dominates the city skyline. William Cavendish, 1st Duke of Newcastle built the mansion in the 1670s, which was completed by his son, Henry Cavendish, 2nd Duke of Newcastle. This ducal palace was torched by rioters in 1831 and left as a ruin for over 40 years. It was renovated in the 1870s to house an art gallery and museum, which remains in use. Little of the original castle survives other than the gatehouse and parts of the ramparts, but sufficient portions remain to give an impression of the layout of the site. Although Nottingham City Council owns the Castle, it is operated by an independent charitable trust called the Nottingham Castle Trust. The castle closed for a major refurbishment from 2018 and reopened on 21 June 2021.

Greyfriars Nottingham was a Franciscan friary in Nottinghamshire, England. It was founded c. 1224–1230, and dissolved in 1539 as part of King Henry VIII's Dissolution of the Monasteries. The site of the friary is now occupied by the Broadmarsh Shopping Centre.

The Tales of Robin Hood was from 1989 to 2009 an indoor visitor attraction and medieval banqueting centre based on the Nottinghamshire legend of Robin Hood. The centre was located on Maid Marian Way in Nottingham City Centre, in the vicinity of Nottingham Castle, and brought an estimated £2 million in tourism revenue to the city each year.Visitors were taken on a chair-lift ride through a recreation of medieval Nottingham with its sights, sounds and smells in addition to Robin Hood's hideout in medieval Sherwood Forest. Archery and brass rubbing were also on offer and a cinema show investigated the legend of Robin Hood. The centre's 'Great Hall' offered medieval banquets through the year.The attraction was forced to close in January 2009, after 20 years of business, due to difficulties with rent payments to its landlord, Tesco.
