The Fürstenberg Brewery (German: Fürstlich Fürstenbergische Brauerei) is a brewery located in Donaueschingen, Germany. It has been a subsidiary of Brau Holding International since 2005, before which it was owned by the House of Fürstenberg, a German noble family. Among other offerings, the brewery produces pilsner, export, and wheat beer, primarily serving southern Germany.

Donaueschingen Palace (German: Schloss Donaueschingen), also known as the Fürstenberg palace (German: Fürstlich Fürstenbergisches Schloss), is a princely residence in French Baroque Revival architecture. It is situated in Donaueschingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is the seat of the princes of Fürstenberg, who still own and live in the palace. It is surrounded by a large park, where next to the palace the source of the Danube is located in the northwestern edge. The palace can be visited during guided tours, as well as rented for events

Museum Art.Plus (renamed in 2015, previously Museum Biedermann) is a museum devoted to exhibitions of contemporary art in Donaueschingen, Germany. The museum opened in 2009.

Donaueschingen station is a junction station in the south of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is the only official Bahnhof (station) in the city of Donaueschingen. The city also has the Haltepunkte (halts, which is defined in Germany as a station having no sets of points) of Donaueschingen Allmendshofen, Donaueschingen Mitte/Siedlung, Donaueschingen Aufen and Donaueschingen Grüningen. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn (DB) as a category 4 station and has five platform tracks. It is used daily by about 100 trains operated by DB long-distance, DB Regio and the Hohenzollerische Landesbahn.

Donaueschingen (German pronunciation: [ˌdoːnaʊˈʔɛʃɪŋən]; Low Alemannic: Eschinge) is a German town in the Black Forest in the southwest of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg in the Schwarzwald-Baar Kreis. It stands near the confluence of the two sources of the river Danube (in German: Donau). Donaueschingen stands in a basin within low mountainous terrain. It is located about 13 km (8.1 mi) south of Villingen-Schwenningen, 24 km (15 mi) west of Tuttlingen, and about 30 km (19 mi) north of the Swiss town of Schaffhausen. In 2015 the population was 21,750, making it the second largest town in the district (Kreis) of Schwarzwald-Baar. It is a regional rail hub.

The Breg is a river, 46 kilometres long, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and the primary headstream of the Danube.

The Stille Musel, often just called the Musel by locals, is a small river about 14 km long, which has its source between Mühlhausen near Schwenningen and Hochemmingen at the Türnhalde near the B 523, flows through the Wittmannstal and flows into the Salinensee at Bad Dürrheim. It leaves the Salinensee again, flows through the centre of Bad Dürrheim and further to Donaueschingen, there north of the Schlosspark, where it flows into the Danube from the left shortly after the confluence of Brigach and Breg.

Bräunlingen (Low Alemannic: Briilinge) is a town in the district of Schwarzwald-Baar, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is situated on the river Breg, 4 km southwest of Donaueschingen.

Bad Dürrheim transmitter was a facility for medium wave and short wave broadcasting at 48°00'12" N and 8°31'28" E at Bad Dürrheim-Ankenbuck. It was built by the Südwestfunk in 1951 and used for mediumwave and shortwave broadcasting. Regarding the transmission antenna for mediumwave, a 120 metre tall guyed mast, which was insulated against ground was used. For the shortwave transmissions a 12 metre tall mast with a diameter of 4 metres was used. In 1962 the facility was given to German Federal Post (Deutsche Bundespost) in order to use it for transmitting the program of Deutschlandfunk. These days the shortwave transmissions of Bad Dürrheim transmitter have been moved to Bodenseesender. Because the program of Deutschlandfunk could be also received well by Ravensburg-Horgenzell transmitter in the area, which Bad Dürrheim transmitter served, it was shut down after the wave plan of Geneva came into force in 1978, where no frequency was applied for it. Today the antennas of Bad Dürrheim transmitter have been dismantled.
