The Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company ("E-J") was a prosperous manufacturer of shoes based in New York's Southern Tier, with factories mostly located in the area's Triple Cities of Binghamton, Johnson City, and Endicott. An estimated 20,000 people worked in the company's factories by the 1920s, and an even greater number worked there during the boom years of the mid-1940s when, helped by footwear it produced for the military during the war years, it was producing 52 million pairs of shoes a year. During the early 1950s, the work force was still approximately 17,000 to 18,000. Today, EJ Footwear, LLC operates as a unit of Nelsonville, Ohio-based Rocky Shoes & Boots, Inc.

Endicott Square Deal Arch is an historic "welcome arch" located at Endicott in Broome County, New York. It is one of two identical arches erected in 1920 in Endicott and in nearby Johnson City, known as the Johnson City Square Deal Arch. . It was constructed by Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company employees to honor George F. Johnson (1857–1948), their highly respected employer and benefactor.In 1995 the arch was dismantled and rebuilt with additional materials to increase clearance and span a widened Main Street.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

C. Fred Johnson Park Carousel is a historic carousel located at Johnson City in Broome County, New York. The carousel and its pavilion were built in 1923. The carousel is housed in a wooden, two story, 18-sided, enclosed pavilion topped by a six sided cupola. The carousel has 72 figures - all horses - each of which is a "jumper." It was constructed by the Allan Herschell Company. It is one of six carousels donated to the citizens of Broome County by George F. Johnson (1857–1948), president of Endicott Johnson Corporation.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.Other carousels located in the Greater Binghamton Region: George F. Johnson City Historic District is a national historic district located at Johnson City, Broome County, New York. It encompasses 183 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in a mixed, residential, commercial, and industrial core of Johnson City. It developed between about 1888 and 1966, and includes notable examples of Romanesque Revival, Gothic Revival, Colonial Revival, and Streamline Moderne style architecture. Located in the district are the previously listed Goodwill Theatre, United States Post Office, and Your Home Library. Other notable contributing resources include the Endicott-Johnson Athletic Association East Branch Recreational Center (1947), St. James Roman Catholic Church Complex (1914-1950), Ash Block (c. 1901), Tacoma Block (1892, 1945), Rich Block, Dawson Block (1898-1899), Woolworths (c. 1937), Men's Quality Shop (1966), Red Robin Diner (1950, 1959), Thompson Hall (1951), Sarah Jane Johnson Methodist Church (1927), Charles F. Goodwill Theatre is a historic movie theater located at Johnson City in Broome County, New York. It is a three-story steel frame building on a concrete foundation built in 1920. Its exterior is faced with red brick, cut limestone and marble in the Neoclassical style. It was a gift to the people of Johnson City by George F. Johnson (1857–1948), founder of Endicott-Johnson Shoe Company.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.The theatre is currently a performing arts theatre.

General Cigar Company–Ansco Camera Factory Building, also known as Agfa-Ansco, General Aniline and Film (GAF), and Anitec, is a historic factory complex located at Binghamton, Broome County, New York. It was originally built in 1927-1928 for the General Cigar Company; Ansco purchased the factory in 1937. The factory building is a four-story brick building with basement, five bays wide and 20 bays long. It has an intersecting four-story wing and two-story addition constructed in 1950. The building measures approximately 62 feet wide and 402 feet long. The powerhouse is a one-story, steel frame and brick building measuring 36 feet wide and 52 feet long. The buildings housed manufacturing operations of Ansco for cameras and photographic equipment. The factory closed in 1977.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital is a 197 bed community hospital in Binghamton, New York, United States. In 1983, the hospital was selected by the US Federal Government to take part in a national cancer research project. In 2006, a flood cost the hospital several million dollars in damages.In 2016, the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released the first round of the Overall Hospital Quality Star Rating. Our Lady of Lourdes received one star, and in 2019, received three stars. In 2016, Loudes Hospital also became a certified member of the MD Anderson Cancer Network.In 2017, Lourdes was granted a three-year/full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).In 2018, Lourdes was ranked as the 21st best hospital in New York according to the U.S. News Best Hospitals specialty rankings.

US Post Office-Johnson City is a historic post office building located at 307 Main Street in Johnson City in Broome County, New York. It was designed and built in 1934 and is one of a number of post offices in New York State designed by the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, Louis A. Simon. The interior features a mural by Frederic Charles Knight.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Johnson City is a village in Broome County, New York, United States. The population was 15,343 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Binghamton Metropolitan Statistical Area. The village of Johnson City is in the town of Union and is a part of the "Triple Cities" along with Endicott and Binghamton. Johnson City lies to the west of Binghamton on the eastern side of the town of Union.

Lithuanian National Association Hall, also known as the Tri-Cities Opera, is a historic clubhouse located at Binghamton, Broome County, New York. It was built in 1917, is a two-story, steel and timber frame building with a flat roof, clad in yellow brick. It features a broad central Romanesque arch on the second floor. The building measures approximately 50 feet wide by approximately 115 feet deep. The building housed the Lithuanian National Association until 1964, when it was sold to the Tri-Cities Opera.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Endicott-Johnson Medical Clinic, also known as the Wilson Hospital Annex, is a historic hospital building located at Binghamton, Broome County, New York. It was built in 1928 by the Endicott Johnson Corporation as a part of its "Square Deal" program. It is a two-story, T-shaped steel frame building with a flat roof, clad in red brick. It has a projecting central section that is four bays wide and a one-story enclosed portico. It was sold in 1946 to the Wilson Memorial Hospital and used as an annex. In 1967, it was purchased by New York State for use as a day care center for the Binghamton Psychiatric Center.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

The West Side, as the name implies, is a neighborhood in the western section of the New York State city of Binghamton. It is primarily an urban residential neighborhood with retail along Main Street and pockets of industrial buildings along the train tracks. The West Side, can be defined as encompassing the area north of the Susquehanna River, east of the neighboring village of Johnson City along Margaret Street and Floral Avenue, west of the Chenango River and south of the Norfolk Southern tracks. The area's "main drag" is Main Street which carries NY-17C. It runs from the foot of the Court Street Bridge west and into Johnson City. It is lined with retail, consisting of several large supermarkets, churches, pharmacies, bank branches, a few bars and restaurants as well as a few mom and pop shops. Other important streets in the neighborhood are Riverside Drive, Front Street which carries US-11, Leroy Street, Grand Boulevard and Floral Avenue. The West Side is home to Lourdes Memorial Hospital, Recreation Park, Binghamton High School, Seton Catholic Central, and St. Patrick's Church. Recreation Park and the area south of it are part of the Abel Bennett Tract Historic District. The American Civic Association, on Front Street, was the site of the Binghamton shooting, where 13 people were killed by a shooter before he committed suicide. Apart from commercial Main Street and some industrial buildings one block north of it along the Norfolk Southern tracks, the West Side of Binghamton is primarily an urban residential neighborhood. The housing stock ranges from small to large, detached, single and double-family houses to attached row-houses and larger apartment buildings. Generally, the area south of Main Street towards Riverside Drive and the Susquehanna River is inhabited mainly by people of lower middle to upper-class. The area north of Main Street is inhabited by people of a lower income. Many college students also live in the area south of Main Street near/around Recreation Park.
