Tartini Square (Slovene: Tartinijev trg, Italian: Piazza Tartini) is the largest and main square in the town of Piran, Slovenia. It was named after violinist and composer Giuseppe Tartini, of whom a monument was made in 1896.

Piran (Slovene pronunciation: [piˈɾáːn] (listen); Italian: Pirano [piˈraːno]) is a town in southwestern Slovenia on the Gulf of Piran on the Adriatic Sea. St. George's Parish Church in Piran (Slovene: župnijska cerkev sv. Jurija v Piranu) is a Roman Catholic church located on the hill above Piran, a port town on the coast of the Adriatic Sea in southwestern Slovenia. It was built in the Venetian Renaissance architectural style and has been dedicated to Saint George. It was the life work of the stonemason Bonfante Torre from Venice.

The Piran Minorite Monastery (Slovene: Minoritski samostan sv. Frančiška v Piranu) is a Roman Catholic monastery located on the hill above Piran, a port town on the coast of the Adriatic Sea in southwestern Slovenia. It is operated by the Conventual Franciscans.

The Walls of Piran (Slovene: Piransko obzidje) are the defensive walls of Piran, a coastal town on the Adriatic Sea in southwestern Slovenia. Significant parts of the fortification walls remain well-preserved.

Portorož (pronounced [pɔɾtɔˈɾoːʃ] (listen); Italian: Portorose) is a Slovenian Adriatic seaside resort and spa settlement located in the Municipality of Piran in southwestern Slovenia. Its modern development began in the late 19th century with the vogue for the first health resorts. In the early 20th century Portorož became one of the grandest seaside resorts in the Adriatic, along with Abbazia, Lido and Grado, then as part of the Austrian Littoral. It is now one of Slovenia's major tourist areas. Located in the centre is the Palace Hotel, once one of the most important resorts for the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, and currently one of the finest hotels between Venice and Dubrovnik.The settlement and its surrounding areas are served by Portorož International Airport which is located in the nearby village of Sečovlje.

Fiesa (sometimes Fjesa or Fjeso; Italian: Fiesso) is a street in Portorož, a settlement in the Municipality of Piran. It mainly lies in a small plain next to Fiesa Bay west of Strunjan and southeast of Piran. The beachfront west and east of the central part has high cliffs. It is connected with Piran by a road through the hills and a beach promenade along the northern beachfront. There are two hotels, a few guesthouses, and a camping site in Fiesa.

EMUNI University was established on 9 June 2008 in Portorož (Slovenia) with the objective of becoming an international, post-graduate, higher-education and research institution, fully integrated in the Euro-Mediterranean Area. It was co-founded by four universities: University of Haifa (Israel), University of Maribor (Slovenia), University of Sousse (Tunisia) and University of Urbino "Carlo Bo" (Italy). In February 2009 EMUNI University became a legal entity in the Republic of Slovenia. EMUNI University is one of the six priorities of the Union for the Mediterranean, whose secretariat was created by the Joint Declaration of the Paris Summit for the Mediterranean. EMUNI University has several member institutions, including universities and other higher-education and research institutions from many countries. The activities of EMUNI University include postgraduate education, seminars, (international) conferences, summer schools, professional courses, professional upgrading study programmes and other activities. At the end of 2008, the International Journal of Euro-Mediterranean Studies (IJEMS) started to be issued. In 2012, IJEMS was issued by the Springer Nature publishing company. The activities of EMUNI University focus on the Union for the Mediterranean priority areas as well as maritime and land highways, alternative energies, culture and tourism, human rights and migration, civil protection, gender issues, water management, foreign policy, business development initiative and Euro-Mediterranean higher education and research area.

The Gulf of Piran or Piran Bay (Slovene: Piranski zaliv, Croatian: Piranski zaljev, Italian: Baia di Pirano) is located in the northern part of the Adriatic Sea, and is a part of the southernmost tip of the Gulf of Trieste.

Kempinski Palace Portorož, until 2008 known as Palace Hotel (Slovene: hotel Palace), is a five-star deluxe hotel in Portorož, a settlement on the Adriatic coast in southwestern Slovenia. It is the only deluxe hotel in Slovenia.

The Lucija Marina is a marina in the town of Lucija, on the Slovenian coast. Its official owner is the company Marina Portorož.In 1996, the Lucija Marina and Studio 37, under the guidance of marina captain Marjan Matevljič and studio director Jurij Korenc, launched the Internautica boat show, the first of its kind in Slovenia. The annual event has become a major tourist attraction.
