St. Thomas Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church building located at 2720 Slaterville Road, east of the post office in Slaterville Springs in the town of Caroline, Tompkins County, New York. It was built in 1893 and is an example of the Carpenter Gothic style of architecture, sometimes called the High Victorian Gothic. It features include, a steeply sloped roof, lancet windows, lancet covered entry through a side steepled belfry, all of which are typical of the Carpenter Gothic style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995. Painted white in 1988 when the NRHP images were taken, it has since been painted light brown with a dark brown trim. It is still an active parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Central New York. The Rev. Cole Gruberth is its current rector.

The location is situated at the intersection of Central Chapel Road, Grove School Road, and Seventy-Six Road (most of which is Tompkins County Route 115). The Hartung–Boothroyd Observatory (HBO) is located atop Mount Pleasant near the Cornell University in Ithaca, New York (US). It is used mainly as a teaching facility for upper-level undergraduate astronomy classes. The observatory is named to recognize funding from M. John Hartung, a 1908 Cornell graduate and later chemical industrialist, and to honor Samuel L. Boothroyd, the founder of Cornell's Department of Astronomy. The facility was designed and directed from 1974-2012 by James R. Houck. The primary 0.6m mirror was constructed from a Pyrex 1/8-scale test pouring as part of technology development for the Palomar Observatory 200-inch telescope. The mirror was polished and mounted in a lightweight tube in the late 1930s under Boothroyd's direction, but World War II deferred its planned use in a high-altitude observatory. This facility, together with an equatorial fork mount to hold the previously completed telescope, was completed in 1974.

Dryden is a town in Tompkins County, New York, United States. The population was 14,435 at the 2010 census. The town administers an area that includes two villages, one also named Dryden and one named Freeville, as well as a number of hamlets. The town is on the county's eastern border, east of Ithaca, in the Finger Lakes region.

Dryden Lake is a lake located by Dryden, New York. Fish species present in the lake include bluegill, yellow perch, pickerel, and pumpkinseed sunfish. There is access via state owned boat launch on West Lake Road, 1 mile south of Dryden. No motors are allowed on this lake.

WVBR-FM (93.5 FM) is a commercial, student-owned and volunteer-run college radio station that broadcasts to Ithaca, New York and surrounding areas. It operates at 3 kilowatts from a transmitter on Hungerford Hill, in Ithaca. Prior to 2016, WVBR had a translator on 105.5 FM. The website WVBR.com provides an additional web-based stream. WVBR purchased, remodeled and relocated to a new studio in Collegetown, located at 604 E. Buffalo Street. A ribbon-cutting event was held on March 15, 2014, where the new building was named the Olbermann-Corneliess Studios, after Keith Olbermann's father, Ted, and his close friend and alumnus, Glenn Corneliess.
