Nesselande metro station

Nesselande is a new extension on the east side of the city of Rotterdam, in South Holland, the Netherlands. It is part of the borough of Prins Alexander, formerly Zevenhuizen-Moerkapelle. Nesselande consists of three development areas: Tuinstad, Badplaats and Waterwijk. On the south side, located near the A20 motorway, there is a modest business park which forms a logical buffer between the motorway and the housing. Within the new development, an ecological park known as Rietveldpark provides for natural elements. Line B of the Rotterdam Metro was extended to the area in 2005.

De Tochten is a station on Line B of the Rotterdam Metro and is situated in Rotterdam-Zevenkamp. The station was opened on 19 April 1984. It served as terminus for over twenty years until the opening of the one-station extension towards the new Nesselande station on 29 August 2005. De Tochten lies on the section where traction power is received from overhead wires, although trains have to switch back to third rail power just east of the station for their journey to Nesselande. The station consists of one island platform between the two running tracks.

Ambachtsland is a station on Line B of the Rotterdam Metro and is situated in the Zevenkamp neighbourhood of Rotterdam. Near the station is Zevenkamp shopping mall, and also a community centre called Youngsters, where there is a church service every Sunday morning.

Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈniuərˌkɛr(ə)k aːn dən ˈɛisəl] (listen); population: 22,344 in 2004) is a town and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The Capelle Schollevaar railway station, also known as Capelle Schollevaer, is a railway station in Capelle aan den IJssel, Netherlands, located on the Utrecht–Rotterdam railway between Rotterdam and Gouda. The railway station was opened in 1981 and has two platforms; it is located near to the "De Scholver" shopping mall.

Willem-Alexander Baan (Dutch for Willem-Alexander Rowing Course) is an artificial lake in the Dutch village of Zevenhuizen near Rotterdam. It has been used as a rowing regatta venue since 2012 and hosted the 2016 World Rowing Championships.

Zevenhuizen is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located about 12 km northeast of the city of Rotterdam. Zevenhuizen was a separate municipality until 1991, when it merged with Moerkapelle to form the new municipality of Moerhuizen (renamed in 1992 to Zevenhuizen-Moerkapelle). Since 2010 Zevenhuizen-Moerkapelle is part of the new municipality of Zuidplas. It lies between the highway A12 and A20. The Rotte (river) also goes past it and it lies in the Tweemanspolder, Zuidplaspolder and the Eendragtspolder. It is surrounded by the villages Moerkapelle, Waddinxveen, Moordrecht, Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, Lansingerland, and the neighborhood Nesselande (located in Rotterdam) and Oud Verlaat.

Zuidplas (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈzœy̯tˌplɑs]) is a municipality in the Netherlands located in the province of South Holland. It was established on 1 January 2010 by the joining of Moordrecht, Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, and Zevenhuizen-Moerkapelle. It had a population of 41,753 as of August 2017.

Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel is a railway station in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, Netherlands. The station is located on the Utrecht–Rotterdam railway between Gouda and Rotterdam Centraal. It was opened on 21 May 1971 and is mostly used by commuters. The train services are operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen.
