Madron

St Maddern's Church is the parish church of Madron, near Penzance in Cornwall and was once the mother church of Morvah and Penzance. It is a Grade I listed building.

The garden is noted for its collection of exotic trees and shrubs and offers views over Mount's Bay and The Lizard. The house is not open to the public.

Heamoor (formerly Hea) (Cornish: An Hay) is a village in Cornwall, England. Formerly a secondary settlement of the village of Madron, Heamoor is situated approximately one-and-a half kilometres (just over a mile) northwest of Penzance town centre.The village is in the civil parish of Penzance and forms a single ward on Penzance Town Council. The principal local authority is Cornwall Council. In May 2019, Heamoor residents voted at a public meeting to submit a bid under Cornwall Council's Community Governance Review to split from Penzance Town Council and form a separate parish council to be known as Heamoor Village Council. Volunteers from the community have set up a Steering Group to prepare a bid (submitted in July 2019), build community awareness, and manage the transitional arrangements. Heamoor is one of only two communities in Cornwall to have applied to create a new local council in the Community Governance Review. Heamoor has a number of shops, The Sportsman's Arms pub, The British Legion and Scout group as well as several community facilities. There are two schools; Heamoor Community Primary School and Mounts Bay Academy (formerly Heamoor Secondary Modern School, and later Mount's Bay School and Community Sports College), a comprehensive school.

Madron Well and Madron Well Chapel is a scheduled Ancient Monument in the civil parish of Madron, Cornwall, UK. Madron Well Chapel (grid reference SW446328) is the ruin of a 12th- or 14th-century chapel dedicated to St Madern and occupies the site of a much older Celtic structure. Madron Well (grid reference SW445327) is a spring 200 m to the west. Clouties, or offerings, can be seen on the path to the chapel, near the holy well.

Lesingey Round is a ringfort, a smaller type of hillfort, about 1 mile (1.6 km) west of Penzance, in Cornwall, England. It is a scheduled monument.A 'round', the name for a ringfort in Cornwall where they are common, is a small circular embanked enclosure, with one entrance; they date from the late Iron Age to the early post-Roman period.

Castle Horneck is a Grade II* listed building, and refurbished Georgian mansion to the west of the Cornish town of Penzance. It is currently owned by the Youth Hostels Association (YHA) and has been used as a youth hostel since 1950.

Treneere is a residential council estate on the outskirts of Penzance, Cornwall. It was built in the 1930s in an effort to clear inner city slums, meaning the majority of residents have been poor for generations. Most of the housing within this area is owned and operated by Penwith Housing Association. Treneere falls within the Penzance East Ward of Cornwall Council.

Tremethick Cross (from Cornish: Tre'nmedhek) is a hamlet around a crossroads in the parish of Madron, in west Cornwall, United Kingdom. Between 1863 and 1884, the A3071 road, was a turnpike serving the mining industry at St Just for the transport of ore to the nearest harbour in Penzance. A toll house, two miles west of Penzance, can still be seen on the crossroads. Tremethick, Tremathick or Trereife cross is a stone Latin cross which was brought to this site from Rose-an-Beagle in the parish of Paul.

Carfury is a hamlet in west Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is situated in Penwith approximately three miles (5 km) northwest of Penzance. It is in the civil parish of Madron The 19th-century geologist Elizabeth Carne founded a school in Carfury.There are three listed buildings in Carfury, all Grade II: Carfury farmhouse and its front garden walls, farm buildings west of Carfury farmhouse, and a piggery north of the farmhouse.

Treneere Manor is a Grade II* listed small mansion near Penzance, Cornwall, built in 1758. It is owned by Truro and Penwith College to accommodate the Penwith campus administration.
