Kulai is a town and the capital of Kulai District, Johor, Malaysia. It is administered by the Kulai Municipal Council (MPKu), which was earlier known as the Kulai District Council. Kulai is surveyed as one of the happiest cities in Malaysia in June 2020.

Kulai Municipal Council (Malay: Majlis Perbandaran Kulai) is the local authority of Kulai District in Johor, Malaysia. It was formerly known as Kulai District Council (Majlis Daerah Kulai (MDKu) from 1 January 1976 until 20 April 2004. The district council was upgraded to the present-day municipal council on 21 April 2004. The council covers nine towns in Kulai District, namely: Kulai, Saleng, Senai, Seelong, Sengkang, Sedenak, Kelapa Sawit, Ayer Bemban and Bukit Batu.

The Kulai District is a district in the state of Johor, Malaysia. Its district capital is Kulai Town. It covers Kulai Town, Ayer Bemban, Bandar Putra Kulai, Bukit Batu, Indahpura, Bandar Baru Kangkar Pulai, Kelapa Sawit, Saleng, Sedenak, Seelong, Senai, and Sengkang. Kulai is also within Iskandar Malaysia economic zone.

Bandar Putra Kulai is a medium-sized mixed-development township, built by IOI Group from 2001, in the Kulai District, Johor, Malaysia. The IOI Mall Kulai shopping complex is located here, as well as the Palm Villa Golf Resort, the Kulai fire brigade station and Hutan Bandar Putra park.

Saleng is a town in Kulai District, Johor, Malaysia.

Johor Premium Outlets (JPO) is a mall in Indahpura, Malaysia with 130 designer and name brand outlet stores as of 2021. The center is operated by Genting Simon Sdn Bhd and is part of the Genting Simon Group, which is a joint venture between Genting Plantations Berhad and Simon Property Group. Phase I of Johor Premium Outlets was officially opened on 11 December 2011, with the center adding on 50 new stores during its Phase II expansion on 15 November 2013. Five years later, the center added another 20 new stores, bringing the total number to 150 through its Phase III expansion on 15 November 2018.

Kelapa Sawit is a small town located along Jalan Kulai-Air Hitam Malaysian Federal Roads System route 1 in Kulai District, Johor, Malaysia. Kelapa Sawit means oil palm in Bahasa Malaysia. A mainly Hakka community which was formed back in the 1950s when the British; who were the colonial masters of Malaya moved tens of thousands of the ethnic Chinese people into New Towns like this during the Malayan Emergency. Many of the older generations still keep up with tradition and communicate using the Hakka dialect. Located next to the Sime Darby palm oil plantation, this was the origin of the town's name. It faced some problems of air pollution until the estate's oil palm mill was closed down. Villagers were mainly reliant on agriculture for a living. Before tax on pepper kicked in in the 1980s, Kelapa Sawit was the famous Pepper producing town. Farmers has since relied on other crops such as Palm Oil, Durian and other leafy vegetables mainly targeted at the Singapore market. In recent years this town has transformed itself from a sleepy town into a tourist destination with murals, creative art works and traditional hakka food as their selling point. Many tourists mainly from nearby Singapore visit Kelapa Sawit as a quick weekend getaway.

The Senai Airport Mosque (Malay: Masjid Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Senai) is a main mosque in Senai International Airport in Senai, Kulai District, Johor, Malaysia. It was built in 2003 and completed in 2010. It is also used as an international mosque for tourist who travel through Senai Airport. It is also a public mosque for Muslims from Kampung Maju Jaya and townships from Senai.

Seelong is a small town in Kulai District, Johor, Malaysia. It is nearby the Senai International Airport and Senai Industrial Park.

Senai International Airport (IATA: JHB, ICAO: WMKJ), formerly known as Sultan Ismail International Airport, is an international airport serving Johor Bahru District, Malaysia's second most populous district and other regions in southern Peninsular Malaysia. Located in Kulai of the Malaysian state of Johor, it is approximately 22 km northwest of the Johor Bahru city centre. The airport is adjacent to Sedenak Tech Park, the largest data centre hub in Malaysia.
