Tannenbusch Dunes is a nature reserve located in the Tannenbusch section of Bonn. The nature reserve consists of inland dunes and measures 6.7ha. The dunes appeared after the last ice age, approximately 10,000 years ago. Because the region had no vegetation at that time, the sand was blown into this area from an old river bed of the Rhine. The dunes are the remains of a former wider open sand area that is nowadays mostly covered by a residential zone. The body of the dunes is clearly visible because it sticks 2 – 3 meters out of the surroundings. The sandy soil distinguishes itself by being dry, porous, and poor in nutritions and number of specific plants, such as the grey hair-grass and other endangered species are adapted to these extreme soil conditions. To preserve the specific biotope of the area fertilizing substances are not used in the maintenance of the soil. Next to the plants, the dunes also provide a viable habitat for rare animals. The sunny and dry spots are of special importance to particular insect types such as grasshoppers, wild bees and wasps.

Endenicher Bach ("stream of Endenich") is a river of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The Endenicher Bach is called Katzenlochbach at its origin but goes through some name changes on its way to a confluence with the Hardtbach (commonly known as the Dransdorfer Bach), which later flows into the river Rhine. It first changes into Endenicher Bach and later into Lengsdorfer Bach. With a length of 11 kilometres (6.8 mi), it's the longest stream in Bonn.

Endenich (Kölsch: Endenesch) is a neighborhood in the western part of Bonn, Germany. Before 1904 it was an independent municipality. The village of Endenich was founded in the 8th century, and was first mentioned in 804 as Antiniche. Today, about 12,000 people live in Endenich.

Tannenbusch is a section of Bonn, Germany with approx. 17,000 inhabitants. It is split between the subsections Alt-Tannenbusch and Neu-Tannenbusch. The roads in Tannenbusch are almost exclusively named after places in the former GDR and former eastern territories of Germany (e.g. Schlesienstrasse, Oppelner road, west Prussia route). Around 1949 – 1960 there was a US military camp in Tannenbusch. Of the 15000 inhabitants, 45% have a migrant background. About 40% of the inhabitants in the district live on state welfare payments. An Islamic salafi movement is active in the district.

The Hausdorff Center for Mathematics (HCM) is a research center in Bonn, formed by the four mathematical institutes of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn (Mathematical Institute, Institute for Applied Mathematics, Institute for Numerical Simulation, Research Institute for Discrete Mathematics), the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics (MPIM), and the Institute for Social and Economic Sciences.

The August-Macke-Haus or August Macke House is a museum in Bonn, Germany, opened in 1991, dedicated to the expressionist painter August Macke. It is located in Macke's former home, where he lived from 1911 to 1914. The museum displays reconstructed interiors and houses temporary exhibitions, usually focusing on Expressionism. In the August-Macke-Haus, Macke's studio has been restored, including furniture from his Tegernsee days. A basic archive of Rhenish Expressionism is available in addition to a reference library.

Alter Friedhof (Old Cemetery) is a historically significant cemetery in Bonn, Germany, 1.2 hectares (3 acres) in area, located near the center of the modern city.The cemetery was established in 1715 as a cemetery for soldiers and strangers, outside the city walls of the time. It remained in regular use until the new North cemetery opened in 1884, after which burials gradually ceased. It is an area of greenery in the middle of the modern city.

Agnes Salm-Salm (December 25, 1844 – December 21, 1912) was the American wife of Prince Felix zu Salm-Salm, a Prussian mercenary beside whom she played a role in the American Civil War, the Mexican Civil War between President Benito Juárez and the Austrian archduke Maximilian I of Mexico, and the Franco-Prussian War.

The Bonn Women's Museum (German: Frauenmuseum Bonn) is a women's museum in Bonn, Germany. It was founded in 1981 by Marianne Pitzen (the current director) and an interdisciplinary group of working women, and claims to be the first museum of its kind in the world. It hosts temporary exhibitions (over 500 since its founding) and accompanying events, and is run by the society "Women's Museum – Art, Culture, Research".
