Monkton Town Hall is a historic government building on Monkton Ridge Road in Monkton, Vermont. Built in 1859, it is a fine local example of Greek Revival architecture. For many years it was the site of town meetings, and it now houses the town offices. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Developed around the turn of the 19th century, the property includes an early farmhouse and barn, as well as outbuildings representative of Vermont's trends in agriculture over two centuries. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Hoag Gristmill and Knight House Complex is a former industrial site on State Prison Hollow Road in Starksboro, Vermont. With an industrial history dating to the 1790s, the surviving mill and c. 1820s house are an important reminder of the town's early industrial history. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Starksboro Village Meeting House is a historic church and town hall on Vermont Route 116 in the village center of Starksboro, Vermont. It was built in 1838 as a cooperative venture between three church congregations and the town, and is a fine local example of Gothic Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

East Charlotte is an unincorporated village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Charlotte, Chittenden County, Vermont, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The village is in southwestern Chittenden County, in the eastern part of the town of Charlotte, at the intersection of Hinesburg Road and Spear Street. It is 3 miles (5 km) east of West Charlotte, 4 miles (6 km) west of Hinesburg, and 5 miles (8 km) south of Shelburne.

The Bottum Farm is a historic farm property at 1423 North Street in New Haven, Vermont. With a history dating back to the early 1770s, it is one of the community's oldest farm properties, and is also significant for its association with Justus Sherwood, a major in Vermont's Revolutionary War-era history. The property, which now includes buildings dating from the mid-19th to early-20th centuries, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Cumbancha is a record label, booking agency and music publisher based in Charlotte, Vermont. The company was founded by ethnomusicologist and music producer Jacob Edgar in 2006. In 2007, Cumbancha Music Publishing was established to expand opportunities for artists, helping them license songs to various movies, television programs, and advertisements, including Boyhood, Grey's Anatomy, and High Maintenance. Cumbancha Booking was founded in 2010 to book tours for artists on and off the label, bringing them to venues such as Hollywood Bowl, Montreal Jazz Festival, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Lincoln Center, Central Park SummerStage, and Austin City Limits. Artists on the label include The Idan Raichel Project, Habib Koité and Bamada, Rupa & the April Fishes, Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars, The Touré-Raichel Collective, and Lakou Mizik, among many others. The name "Cumbancha" derives from the Cuban word of West African derivation meaning an impromptu musical gathering or party.

The Chittenden-1-2 Representative District is a one-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Chittenden-1-2 District includes all of the Chittenden County town of Charlotte plus those parts of the town of Hinesburg not included in Chittenden-1-1. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The one member Chittenden-1-2 District had a population of 3,724 in that same census, 8.25% above the state average.

Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) is a high school located in the town of Hinesburg, Vermont, United States. The school serves the towns of Charlotte, Hinesburg, Shelburne, St. George, and Williston. The enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year was 1,284 students with 103 faculty.CVU was established in 1964 to serve the Chittenden County towns outside of Burlington. It is currently the largest high school by enrollment in the state of Vermont.

New Haven is the central settlement and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of New Haven, Addison County, Vermont, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.It is in north-central Addison County, in the north-central part of the town of New Haven. Vermont Route 17 passes through the community, leading east 4 miles (6 km) to Bristol and west 1.4 miles (2.3 km) to U.S. Route 7 at New Haven Junction. Middlebury, the Addison county seat, is 8 miles (13 km) south of New Haven.
