Compadre Academy

Guadalupe Regional High School, also known as Guadalupe Satellite at Compadre High School during its final year, was a small high school in Guadalupe, Arizona. It was run by the Tempe Union High School District after it was turned over by the Maricopa County Regional School District in 2006 for financial reasons. The school, after this move, lost 35 students to bring it down to an enrollment of just 25: Many students had missed too many classes and had to be dropped due to state regulations. 12 other students transferred to Compadre at the beginning of the school year. Due to a lack of offerings or needed specialized attention, some students were transferred, particularly to Marcos de Niza High School, the closest public high school.Because of this, the Tempe Union High School District began to consider closure of the school. A million dollar budget shortfall in the district forced the closure of the school, which had shrunk even further to 16 students. Of those 16, four graduated after summer school, two moved to Marcos, and ten moved to Compadre itself.It was located at a Boys and Girls Club facility in Guadalupe.

Guadalupe is a town in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States and part of the great Phoenix metropolitan area. The town motto, "where three cultures flourish", recognizes the town's roots in the Yaquis, Mexicans and descendants of the original farmers. Since its founding, Guadalupe has been known as a center of Yaqui culture, and it is home to many religious festivals. Nestled between Phoenix and Tempe, the 2020 census listed the population of the town as 5,322. Guadalupe was founded around 1900 by Yaqui Indians, who fled their homeland in Sonora to avoid oppression by the Mexican government of Porfirio Díaz. The cemetery of Guadalupe was established in 1904, in the original townsite. The cemetery is now officially located in Tempe, due to that city's annexation of the land surrounding the cemetery; however, it is still administered by the Guadalupe Clerk's Office. Guadalupe is primarily a residential area; most residents commute to other parts of the Phoenix area to work.

Kiwanis Lake is located in Kiwanis Community Park in central Tempe, Arizona, United States, southwest of Baseline Road and Mill Avenue.

KDUS (AM 1060) is a sports talk radio station broadcasting out of Tempe, Arizona, and serving the Phoenix metropolitan radio market. It is owned by Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. and licensed to Phoenix FCC License Sub, LLC. Its studios are located on North 52nd Street west of Papago Park and its transmitter is in Guadalupe. KDUS broadcasts on the clear-channel frequency of 1060 kHz; KYW and XEEP are the dominant Class A stations on that frequency. KDUS can also be heard on HD Radio receivers at 100.7 FM KSLX-FM-HD2.

Temple Emanuel of Tempe is a Reform synagogue in Tempe, Arizona founded in 1976. As of March 2021 there are 378 membership families. Senior rabbi is Rabbi Cookie Lea Olshein.

Sea Life Arizona is a 26,000 square foot interactive aquarium located at Arizona Mills mall in Tempe, Arizona. The aquarium contains thousands of aquatic creatures, plus interactive touch pools and a 360° ocean tunnel. Sea Life Arizona is owned and operated by Merlin Entertainments, which operates over thirty other aquariums in eleven countries on two continents. Eight of these are in the United States.

Arizona Mills is an outlet shopping mall in Tempe, Arizona within the Phoenix metropolitan area and it is one of the tourist destinations in Phoenix, Arizona and it was owned by the Mills Corporation (which owned 25%) and Taubman Centers. However, Taubman has since sold the remaining 75% stake to Simon, who purchased it in 2007 from the Mills Corporation. It opened on November 20, 1997, with 6,000 parking spaces and approximately 200 retailers. It is currently anchored by Old Navy, Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse, American Freight, Forever 21, Harkins Theatres, H&M, IMAX, Legoland Discovery Center, Rainforest Cafe, Sea Life Aquarium, Tilt Studio, Ross Dress for Less, Marshalls, Camille La Vie, Conn's, and Burlington Coat Factory. The mall is located on the Southeast corner of US 60 and I-10. Despite the presence of 'Mills' in its name, it is not geographically close to or affiliated with Mill Avenue, a shopping and entertainment district near Hayden Butte to the north. The name comes from that of the property developer, formerly known as the Mills Corporation. Like other Mills Centers, Arizona Mills has abstract graphics from the entrances and inside the whole mall. Likewise for this mall, numerous artworks are displayed throughout Arizona Mills from the people of Arizona. In June 2008, the mall's website was changed from its former Mills Corporation format to its Simon Malls format along with 16 other sister Simon-Mills malls. It was the last Simon-Mills mall to make the switch. It is one of three malls Simon currently owns in Arizona, with Phoenix Premium Outlets in Chandler & Tucson Premium outlets being the others. It is the third mall Simon has ever owned in Arizona, previously having owned Southgate Mall in Yuma, Arizona, and Metrocenter Mall in Phoenix, Arizona which is now owned by Carlyle Development Group.

Turning Point USA (TPUSA) is an American nonprofit organization that advocates for conservative politics on high school, college, and university campuses. It was founded in 2012 by Charlie Kirk and Bill Montgomery. TPUSA's interconnected affiliate groups include Turning Point Endowment, Turning Point Action and TPUSA Faith. TPUSA has been described as the fastest growing organization of campus chapters in America, and according to The Chronicle of Higher Education, is a dominant force in campus conservatism.The organization started Professor Watchlist, a website that claims to expose professors that TPUSA says "discriminate against conservative students and advance leftist propaganda in the classroom". TPUSA has attempted to influence student government elections in an effort to "combat liberalism on college and university campuses". In 2021, TPUSA started its School Board Watchlist website, which publishes names and photos of school board members who have adopted mask mandates, or anti-racist curricula.TPUSA annually hosts several conferences on various topics throughout the year, such as the Student Action Summit, Young Women's Leadership Summit, Young Black Leadership Summit, and AmericaFest. The organization is funded by conservative donors and foundations, including Republican Party politicians.

Marcos de Niza High School is a high school located in Tempe, Arizona. It was founded in 1971 and it has an enrollment of approximately 1,500 students. The school's mascot is the Padre. The school is a part of the Tempe Union High School District and mainly serves students in central Tempe, as well as the Town of Guadalupe.

The Niels Petersen House is a local historic landmark in Tempe, Arizona, that is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. It is an example of Queen Anne Style brick architecture in the Salt River Valley.

Faithful Word Baptist Church is a New Independent Fundamentalist Baptist church in Tempe, Arizona, that was founded by Steven Anderson. The church describes itself as "an old-fashioned, independent, fundamental, King James Bible-only, soul-winning Baptist church." Members of the church meet in an office space that is located inside a strip mall. Anderson established the church in December 2005 and remains its pastor. In August 2009, the church received national attention when Anderson stated in a sermon that he was praying for the death of then-president Barack Obama. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) listed Faithful Word Baptist Church as an anti-gay hate group, citing its pastor's "extremely radical stance" that homosexuals should be judged and executed according to the Law of Moses. Its documentary titled Marching to Zion was labeled as antisemitic by the Anti-Defamation League. Its pastor was refused entry to South Africa, Botswana, Jamaica, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Schengen Area, the Republic of Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

James Madison Preparatory School (abbreviated as JMPS) is a charter school started in 2000 in Tempe, Arizona. The school was co-founded by brothers Stephen Batchelder and David Batchelder and serves grades 6-12.
