Licensed to San Juan, Puerto Rico, the station is owned by The Puerto Rico Public Broadcasting Corporation. WIPR's audio signal had been simulcast on WIPR-TV channel 6.6 in San Juan & WIPM-TV channel 3.6 in Mayaguez, but was removed on March 20, 2017. On November 18, 2020 WIPR was granted a construction permit from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to move to a new transmitter site and to decrease power to 3,000 watts day and 1,900 watts night but is still broadcasting at 10,000 watts fulltime.

The Metropolitan Detention Center, Guaynabo (MDC Guaynabo) is a United States federal prison facility in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico which holds male and female inmates of all security levels who are awaiting trial or sentencing. It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice. MDC Guaynabo is located next to Fort Buchanan U.S. Army base, and is 6 miles (9.7 km) west of San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico.In the wake of the destruction of Hurricane Maria in September 2017, some 1200 federal prisoners were transferred from Guaynabo to the Federal Correctional Institution, Yazoo City in Mississippi. Those 1200 were returned to Guaynabo in the first quarter of 2018, along with other prisoners who had been temporarily held in Atlanta, Georgia, Talladega Alabama, and Miami, Florida.

Caparra is an archaeological site in the municipality of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. It was declared a U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1994. The site contains the remains of the first Spanish capital of the island, settled in 1508 and abandoned in 1521. It represents the oldest known European settlement on United States territory.The site is on the grounds of the Museum of the Conquest and Colonization of Puerto Rico (Museo de la Conquista y Colonización), which features artifacts from the site and other archaeological sites in Puerto Rico.

Academia San José High School was a Christian school, located in Villa Caparra, Puerto Rico. The school was officially shut down in May 2021 after years of financial issues.

Jardines is a rapid transit station in San Juan agglomeration, Puerto Rico. It is located between Deportivo and Torrimar stations on the sole line of the Tren Urbano system, in Bayamón. The station is located in Juan Sánchez barrio, close to the municipal border with Guaynabo, and it is named after the Jardines de Caparra neighborhood, located nearby. The trial service ran in 2004, however, the regular service only started on 6 June 2005.

Santa Rosa Mall is a shopping mall in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. It is on Puerto Rico Highway 2 and is near the Deportivo station of Tren Urbano. The mall is owned by Commercial Centers Management and has an area of 503,610 square feet (46,787 m2). The mall is anchored by Burlington Coat Factory and IKEA. Burlington Coat Factory was previously Supermercados Grande, and a González Padín.

The National Sanctuary of Blessed Martín de Porres (Spanish: Santuario Nacional San Martín de Porres) is a Catholic church and sanctuary dedicated to Martin de Porres located in Cataño, Puerto Rico. It was built in 1951 for the Dominican Priests as a pilgrimage church and as part of the community services for the Bay View and Bahía residential developments of suburban San Juan. German born Henry Klumb, designed the building in a Modernist style with a regional approach linked to the organic architecture described by Frank Lloyd Wright. The architect also followed liturgical and sacramental functions as dictated by doctrinal documents of the Catholic Church. The building was added to the United States National Register of Historic Places in 2017.
