The Hebrew Congregation of Woodmont is an historic, 1926 beach (summer, resort) synagogue at 15-17 Edgefield Avenue in Woodmont, Connecticut, United States. The synagogue was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

Woodmont is a borough of the city of Milford, in New Haven County, Connecticut. The population was 1,488 at the 2010 census. It was first created by Special Act of Connecticut General Assembly in 1893 as the Woodmont Improvement Association. In 1903 it became the Woodmont Association. It became a municipality in 1957 when the Connecticut General Assembly passed House Bill No. 2443 "An Act to change the Association status of Woodmont to Borough status". Woodmont is one of 9 Boroughs in Connecticut. The government of the borough works closely with the city of Milford to provide services such as road maintenance, snow plowing, street lighting, beach maintenance, and supplemental police service. There is an extra yearly tax assessment, beyond what is owed to the city of Milford, for borough residents to pay for services in excess of what the city of Milford provides to the rest of Milford.

The Indian River is a stream in New Haven County in the U.S. state of Connecticut. It rises in Orange and flows through Milford before discharging into Long Island Sound at Gulf Pond. Bodies of water along the stream include Clark Pond and Roses Mill Pond in Milford and Indian Lake bordering Milford and Orange. Stubbly Plain Brook and Silver Brook are tributaries. Fish supported by the stream include the American eel and alewife. A fish ladder helps fish reach spawning grounds at Clark's Pond.

The Oyster River is a 4.1-mile-long (6.6 km) stream located in the state of Connecticut in New Haven County. It flows south through Orange and forms the boundary of West Haven and Orange and further downstream the boundary of West Haven and Milford. It empties into Long Island Sound, just south of Route 162 at Oyster River Point. Swans, box turtles and many other animals call this area home. In colonial times, Oyster River Point was also known as Clarke's Point. Around 1840, Peter Aimes bought the land from the Clark family, and the area became known as Aimes Point. The Aimes’ family home, Martinstow, an impressive Gothic structure designed by James Renwick, overlooked the Oyster River and the Sound. After the family sold the property in 1949, the name “Aimes Point” slowly went out of common usage and the area became more commonly known as “Oyster River Point”. The river has dealt with issues of flooding and pollution in recent years. In 2007, a movement was put together by local residents to gain aid from the local government to help with these issues.

Connecticut Post Mall (formerly known as Westfield Connecticut Post) is a shopping mall, located on the Boston Post Road (Route 1) in Milford, Connecticut. It is currently the largest mall in the state of Connecticut and is partially owned and operated by Centennial Properties. The mall currently houses over 215 retail stores. The anchor stores are Macy's, Boscov's, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Target. The mall also features a Dave & Buster's and a 14 screen Cinemark (formerly Rave Cinemas), including an IMAX theater.

Orange station is a planned commuter rail stop that would serve the Metro-North Railroad's New Haven Line in Orange, Connecticut. The station will be located at Marsh Hill Road and a new access road. In early 2017, the station was planned to open in fall 2021, but budget difficulties at the end of the year canceled the plan for the time being.

The Wepawaug River is a stream in New Haven County in the U.S. state of Connecticut. It rises in Woodbridge and flows through Orange and Milford before discharging into Milford Harbor on Long Island Sound. Dams along the river form Wepawaug Reservoir, managed by the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority, Wepawaug Lake, and the Upper and Lower Lagoons. Race Brook is a tributary.

The Taylor Memorial Library, also known as Taylor Library or Old Library, is a historic former library building at 5 Broad Street in Milford, Connecticut. Built in 1894, it is a Richardsonian Romanesque building designed by Joseph W. Northrop. It follows, but departs from, H. H. Richardson's design of the Crane Memorial Library in Massachusetts. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It now houses the offices of the Milford Chamber of Commerce.

The Eells-Stow House is operated as a historic house museum at 34 High Street in Milford, Connecticut. Built as a private residence and with a construction history dating to c. 1700, it is believed to be Milford's oldest surviving building. It has a complex history of later additions and alterations. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. It is now owned by the Milford Historical Society.

St. Peter's Episcopal Church is a historic church complex at 61, 71, and 81 River Street in Milford, Connecticut. It includes an Gothic Revival church built out of Portland, Connecticut brownstone in 1850–51, and a rectory and parish hall, added on either side of the church in the mid-1890s. The church is a significant work of Frank Wills, a major proponent of the Gothic Revival. The church is also one of the few surviving 19th-century buildings in Milford's civic center. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Buckingham House is a historic house at 61 North Street in Milford, Connecticut. With a construction history dating at least as far back as 1725, it is one of the city's oldest surviving buildings, with a long history of association with early settlers of the area. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977.

The U.S. Post Office-Milford Main, also known as Milford Main Post Office, is a historic post office building at 6 West River Street in Milford, Connecticut. It is a red brick building, trimmed with limestone, that was designed by James A. Wetmore and completed in 1931. It is a fine local example of Classical Revival design, making a significant contribution to a cluster of civic buildings around a triangular park north of Milford's commercial district. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
