The Walter French Junior High School, formerly known as the Walter French Academy or the Walter French Academy of Business and Technology, is a three-story school building located at the corner of Mount Hope and Cedar in Lansing, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Lansing () is the capital of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is mostly in Ingham County, although portions of the city extend west into Eaton County and north into Clinton County. It is the site of the Michigan State Capitol, the state Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, a federal court, the Library of Michigan and Historical Center, and headquarters of four national insurance companies. Lansing is the only U.S. state capital (among the 47 located in counties) that is not also a county seat. The seat of government of Ingham County is Mason, but the county maintains some offices in Lansing.

Everett High School is a public, magnet high school located on the south side of Lansing, Michigan.

The J.H. Moores Memorial Natatorium, also known as the Moores Park Pool, is a natatorium located at 2700 Moores River Drive in Lansing, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The pool at Moores Park was the prototype of what became known as the "Bintz Pool," an oval structure located entirely above ground, which was particularly suited to urban areas.

REO Town is a district in Lansing, Michigan, United States, located south of downtown. El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz Academy, also known as Shabazz Public School Academy, was a charter elementary school in Lansing, Michigan. Its namesake was Malcolm X.

Barnes Avenue School is a school building located at 1028 West Barnes Avenue in Lansing, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

The Grand Trunk Western station was a historic railroad station in Lansing, Michigan. The station was listed as a Michigan State Historic Site in 1978, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

Ingham Academy High School is an alternative high school located in Lansing, Michigan. It is run with a partnership between Ingham Intermediate School District, Highfields, and the Ingham County Circuit Court. With the partnership of these three agencies, the focus of the Ingham Academy is to educate at risk students with the Michigan school curriculum and the life-skills needed for being a productive citizen.The Ingham Academy was founded in 2007 with 2 high school classrooms and 20 students in the Grady Porter Building in downtown Lansing. It has grown to 6 teachers and nearly 60 students, including one 8th grade classroom, at its new location at 1601 W Holmes Rd.

The region is colloquially referred to as "Mid" or Central Michigan, and less often as "Greater Lansing" or the "Capital Area". As of the 2020 census, the MSA had a population of 541,297. It ranks as Michigan's third-largest metropolitan area behind metropolitan Detroit and Grand Rapids.

Lansing Grand River Assembly produces vehicles built upon the GM Alpha platform including the Cadillac CT4, Cadillac CT5, and Chevrolet Camaro. The Lansing Grand River Assembly facility includes a body shop, paint shop, general assembly and central utilities complex.
