The Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est (CECCE, "Centre-East French Catholic School Board"), formerly known as the Conseil des écoles catholiques de langue française du Centre-Est (CECLFCE), is Ontario's largest French-language school board. The CECCE operates 41 elementary schools, 10 high schools, and a school for adults. Over 21,000 students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 attend CECCE schools. The board employs approximately 2,000 teachers and professionals and it covers an area of 35,615 km2, including the City of Ottawa. Its headquarters are in the Gloucester area of Ottawa.The predecessor school district, the Conseil des écoles catholiques de langue française de la région d'Ottawa-Carleton (CECLF), had its headquarters at the current CECCE headquarters; previously, Gloucester was a separate municipality.

Cyrville (also referred to as Cummings) is a neighbourhood in Beacon Hill-Cyrville Ward in the east-end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The area is located within the former City of Gloucester, and is roughly bounded on the north, west and south by the former Gloucester City limit, and on the east by the Aviation Parkway and Highway 417. Once a francophone farming village, the area now a mix of residential and industrial land, being home to the Cyrville Industrial Area. It has been described as a "tangle of freeways and utility corridors". It has a population of 4513 (2016 census), 280 of which live south of the Queensway.

St-Laurent is a station on the Confederation Line of Ottawa's O-Train, located at St. Laurent Boulevard and the Queensway.

St. Laurent Centre (French: Centre St-Laurent) is a shopping mall located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is owned and operated by Morguard REIT. The shopping mall is located just north of Highway 417 at the corner of St. Laurent Boulevard and Coventry Road. The mall opened in October 1967 housing 50 retailers with Simpson-Sears (later Sears), Freimans and Dominion as original anchors. Sears was the last original anchor to leave the mall, closing on January 8, 2018 due to bankruptcy of the chain. Hudsons Bay is currently the mall's oldest anchor tenant, having purchased Freimans in December 1971 and rebranding the store to The Bay in June 1973. On March 13, 1991, The Bay moved to its current two level location as part of a mall expansion. It is adjacent to the former space of The Bay and 50% larger. The former store was converted to a food court, office space, and other retailers. The mall is also anchored by Toys "R" Us.On the afternoon of September 16, 2022, there was a physical altercation involving multiple people in their late teens and early 20s. The event took place just outside the mall's Dollarama. Marcus Maloney (19) was stabbed, and later pronounced dead in hospital. Mohammed Osman (18) was later charged with second degree murder, along with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of breaching release conditions after being apprehended by Ottawa Police overnight.St. Laurent Centre is the third largest mall in terms of total space in the National Capital Region behind Rideau Centre and Bayshore Shopping Centre with 880,736 sq ft of leasable area, although a large portion of the mall's gross leasable area is utilized by non-retail tenants. It is currently the 27th largest mall in Canada. The mall's owner, Morguard, has applied to the City of Ottawa for land-use planning approvals to permit an expansion of the mall, bringing the overall size to 121,000 square metres (1,300,000 sq ft). If approved, the expansion would make St. Laurent Centre the 10th largest mall in Canada. The expansion plan is currently on hold indefinitely.The mall has a total of 195 stores and services on three levels. The centre also hosts a large amount of non-retail tenants including office space, a dental clinic, a gym (GoodLife Fitness), a second-run theatre and a career college (Willis College). OC Transpo's St-Laurent station is connected to the mall. It has three levels: the underground Confederation Line platforms, the intermediate mezzanine which connects to the shopping centre, and a local bus platform on the upper level where OC Transpo routes 5, 7, 14 and 18 all end or start their trips. The tunnel-level is accessible via escalators and elevators from the mall. OC Transpo also has a client service kiosk at the station. The original Transitway station opened in 1987 after the mall had an expansion of about 80 stores. On June 28, 2015, the underground Transitway platforms closed for the construction of the Confederation Line which began service on September 14, 2019. Rider Express offers a Toronto-Kingston-Ottawa service departing from Entrance 3 of St. Laurent Centre. Megabus intercity buses bound for Kingston, Scarborough, and Toronto depart from Stop C at St-Laurent Station

Carson Grove is a neighbourhood in the east end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The neighbourhood spans the former Ottawa-Gloucester boundary, which still forms the boundary between Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward and Beacon Hill-Cyrville Ward. The neighbourhood was built in the early 1970s by the Campeau Corporation, and was named for John Carson, an early settler in the region. The neighbourhood was expanded in the mid-1990s with the building of Carson Village, which was developed by the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.The neighbourhood is roughly bounded on the west by the Aviation Parkway, on the North by Collège La Cité, on the South by Ogilvie Road and on the east by Blair Road. Some sources give Montreal Road as the northern boundary and Bathgate Road as the eastern border.According to the Canada 2016 Census, the neighbourhood had a population of 2,918.

Belfast Yard is the maintenance, storage and administrative facility for LRT fleet for the Confederation Line of Ottawa's O-Train light rail system. The yard was opened in 2016 and assembled 34 Alstom Citadis Spirit LRT vehicles. The facility was expanded to accommodate 38 additional LRT vehicles as part of the Stage 2 Confederation Line expansion.

The Communications Security Establishment (CSE; French: Centre de la sécurité des télécommunications, CST), formerly (from 2008-2014) called the Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC), is the Government of Canada's national cryptologic agency. It is responsible for foreign signals intelligence (SIGINT) and communications security (COMSEC), protecting federal government electronic information and communication networks, and is the technical authority for cyber security and information assurance.Formally administered under the Department of National Defence (DND), the CSE is now a separate agency under the National Defence portfolio. The CSE is accountable to the Minister of National Defence through its deputy head, the Chief of CSE. The National Defence Minister is in turn accountable to the Cabinet and Parliament. The current Chief of the CSE is Caroline Xavier, who assumed the office on 31 August 2022.In 2015, the agency built a new headquarters and campus encompassing 340,000 m2 (84 acres). The facility totals a little over 110,000 m2 (1,200,000 sq ft) and is adjacent to CSIS.

La Cité, also called Collège La Cité and previously La Cité collégiale, is the largest French-language college in Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1989 in Ottawa (with a satellite campus in Hawkesbury and a business office in Toronto), it offers more than 90 programs to some 5,000 full-time students from Ontario, other parts of Canada, and foreign countries. In 2011, La Cité ranked first among the 24 Ontario colleges in terms of student satisfaction, graduate employment rate, usefulness of knowledge and skills acquired, overall quality of learning experiences, and overall quality of services; according to the results of an annual survey by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. The college ranked second in terms of overall quality of the facilities.In 2012 and 2013, La Cité was also recognized through Mediacorp Canada Inc.’s annual study ranking Canada’s top employers as one of the National Capital Region’s top 25 employers, while being also named among the 200 most recommended employers in the country.

Eastway Gardens is a small neighbourhood in Alta Vista Ward in the east end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It consists of a series of dead end streets coming off of Tremblay Road between Riverside Drive and St. Laurent Boulevard. Most of these streets are named for letters of the alphabet, beginning with Avenue K and ending with Avenue U. According to the Canada 2016 Census, the neighbourhood had a population of 602. The residents association boundaries for the neighbourhood are the Rideau River to the west, St. Laurent Boulevard to the east, Coventry Road to the north, and Belfast Road to the south.

Forbes is a neighbourhood in Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward in the east end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.It is defined by the city as being bounded on the North by Montreal Road, on the east by the Aviation Parkway, on the west and south by the former municipal boundary of the city, and on the southwest by McArthur Avenue. However, the area west of St. Laurent Boulevard is part of the Overbrook Community Association, and most maps show Forbes as being east of St. Laurent. The total population of the neighbourhood (east of St. Laurent) was 2,918 according to the Canada 2016 Census.Much of the neighbourhood was built in the 1950s and 1960s.The neighbourhood is home to Helen Redpath Thompson Park, Trojan Park and Forbes Park as well as the former Rideau High School.
