Hebron station

The Dallas International Motor Speedway was a racetrack located in Lewisville, Texas. It operated from June 1969 to 1973. The racetrack served as the site for such events as the NHRA Spring Nationals and World Finals, and the Texas International Pop Festival in 1969. When it first opened, the Speedway featured a quarter-mile paved dragstrip, grandstands, and a distinctive control and observation tower. Later, a 2.5-mile road course was added, followed by a quarter-mile dirt course for motorcycle racing. The first event held at the Speedway was the 1969 NHRA Spring Nationals. The event was generally considered to be a successful debut for the new track, but was marred by tragedy when Funny Car driver Gerry Schwartz was killed in a mid-track collision with Pat Foster. The track was also the site of another tragedy on Oct. 16, 1971 when race car driver Art Arfons crashed his jet-powered "Super Cyclops" resulting in the deaths of two onlookers and a passenger in the vehicle, WFAA TV news reporter Gene Thomas. A series of event rainouts, debt issues, and track maintenance costs combined to force the Speedway into bankruptcy by 1973, when the property was purchased for commercial development and the Speedway facilities were demolished. No trace of the Speedway remains at the site today. The track was located east of I-35E at what is now approximately mile marker 448 (Round Grove Rd./Hebron Parkway exit). The Speedway tower was near the present-day intersection of Waters Ridge Dr. and Lake Pointe Dr.

The Texas International Pop Festival was a music festival held at Lewisville, Texas, on Labor Day weekend, August 30 to September 1, 1969. It occurred two weeks after Woodstock. The site for the event was an open field just south and west of the newly opened Dallas International Motor Speedway, located on the east side of Interstate Highway 35E, across from the Round Grove Road intersection.

The Vista, formerly Music City Mall, and originally Vista Ridge Mall, is a shopping mall in Lewisville, Texas, United States, owned and managed by 1000 South Vermont LLC. Opened in 1989, it is located on the southwest corner of Round Grove Road and the portion of Interstate 35E known as Stemmons Freeway. As of January 2024, the mall contains 87 businesses. The current anchors are Dillard's Clearance, Cinemark, and Zion Market. The mall contains two vacant anchors, a former JCPenney and a former Macy's.

North Carrollton/Frankford station is a DART Light Rail station in Carrollton, Texas. It serves the Green Line. The station opened as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010 and is the northern terminus of the line.

New Tech High @ Coppell (NTH@C) is a secondary high school located in Coppell, Texas, United States, a suburb of Dallas. It is the second high school in the Coppell Independent School District. It is part of the New Tech Network which nationwide has 86 "New Tech" schools. The school had its first senior class in 2011 and has a current enrollment of 382 students with 33 staff members. The school is also toured often by school districts and politicians interested in New Tech. It also has the shortest elapsed time in between when it starts and ends.

Trinity Mills was a small community originally settled in 1853 on land that is today part of the city of Carrollton in northwest Dallas County, Texas (USA). The community was on A. W. Perry's land grant and was named for a gristmill owned by him and Wade H. Witt. The actual gristmill was powered by oxen on a treadwheel and housed in a late-1840s two-story rock structure built on Farmers Creek, 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Carrollton. In 1858, a post office was established in the area which was subsequently shut-down and reopened four times before it finally closed permanently in 1915.In 1878 the Dallas-Wichita Railroad was built through Trinity Mills and the community began to emerge as a cattle-shipping center. By 1881, Trinity Mills had a physician, 26 farmers, a druggist, and a general store. In 1884, the population of Trinity Mills had grown to 150 along with a school, 2 churches, and a Western Union telegraph office.By 1890 the population had dwindled to fifty, and by 1915 only two stores remained in the community. By 1930 the population had dropped to 35. Eventually, the town was annexed into Carrollton and today is fully developed as part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.The City of Carrollton has plans to focus new development into the area near the new DART Green Line Station, detailed in their Master Plan. The City of Carrollton and DART own over 25 acres of land at the station and plan to develop the property into the new Trinity Mills. Much of this land was gained through eminent domain proceedings, in a court of record.

Denton Creek is a creek in Texas, beginning in Wise County, and flowing south-east into Denton County. It was dammed by the Army Corps of Engineers to make Lake Grapevine. The Army Corps of Engineers are in charge of the height but still flooded many areas in early 2016. After flowing out of the lake, it flows into the Trinity River. The creek and lake are popular for fishing, boating, and recreation due to its location within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The creek has many forks along its path. The creek flows into the lake in the area known as Trophy Club Park (formerly Marshall Creek Park) in Trophy Club.

Trinity Mills station is a train station in Carrollton, Texas. It serves DART Light Rail's Green Line as well as Denton County's A-train commuter rail line. The station opened as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010, replacing the nearby North Carrollton Transit Center. (The latter is fully closed including the station house.) A-Train service began June 20, 2011.

Charles Emery Old Town Station (typically shortened to Old Town) is an A-train commuter rail station in Lewisville, Texas. The station is named for Old Town Lewisville, the city's historic downtown district, which it is 1⁄2 mile east of. The station was previously one of two terminals for bus route 22, the other being Hebron station. When the route was removed in 2021, the station became a hub for DCTA's on-demand GoZone service. In 2019, the station was formally renamed in honor of Charles Emery, a former chairman of DCTA and member of the Lewisville City Council. A placard commemorating him and his wife, Elaine, was installed at the station.
