Sandusky ( san-DUSS-kee) is a city in and the county seat of Erie County, Ohio, United States. Situated along the shores of Lake Erie in the northern part of the state, Sandusky is located roughly midway between Toledo (45 miles (72 km) west) and Cleveland (50 miles (80 km) east). According to 2020 census, the city had a population of 25,095, and the Sandusky micropolitan area had 75,622 residents.Sandusky is home to the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, which owns large amounts of property in Sandusky. These properties include Cedar Point, Cedar Fair's flagship park and one of the most popular amusement parks in the world, as well as Cedar Point Shores, adjacent to Cedar Point itself. In 2011, Sandusky was ranked No. 1 by Forbes as the "Best Place to Live Cheaply" in the United States due to its high median family income of $64,000 compared to its relatively low cost of living. The National Arbor Day Foundation has designated Sandusky as a Tree City USA.

The Campbell School at 1215 Campbell St. in Sandusky, Ohio was built in 1885. It was designed by J.C. Johnson and built by Adam Feick and brothers. It has also been known as the Eighth Ward School. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It was built to serve children with deficient eyesight. It is a two-story limestone building with an arched transom area above its main entrance, with Victorian Gothic style.

The John Stang House at 629 Columbus Ave. in Sandusky, Ohio was built in 1922 by George Feick. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It is significant for its association with John Stang, who was vice president of the Cleveland-Sandusky Brewing Company and was president of the M. Hommel Wine Company, two companies of economic importance.

The Taylor-Frohman House at 1315 Columbus Ave. in Sandusky, Ohio was built in 1906. It was built by George Feick. It includes Colonial Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.The house is an "imposing" three-story building. It has a two-story front porch with four columns, two pilasters, and a pediment. The house also has a six-column portico. It was home of Sidney Frohman and Elnore (née Dauch) Frohman from about 1920 until Sidney's death in the 1960s. Sidney was president of the Hinde and Dauch Paper Company, which popularized use of corrugated cardboard in shipping, in lieu of barrels and bags.

The Eleutheros Cooke House, also known as the Cooke-Dorn House, at 1415 Columbus Avenue in Sandusky, Ohio is a three-story, limestone Greek Revival style house that was built in 1844. It was the last home of Eleutheros Cooke, one of the first settlers in Sandusky and its first lawyer. Eleutheros was father of Jay Cooke, the Civil War financier.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.The house is owned by the Ohio Historical Society and is open seasonally as a historic house museum that has been restored to a 1950s appearance. It is managed locally by the Old House Guild of Sandusky.

Sandusky Central Catholic School is a Catholic, private school in Sandusky, Ohio. Founded in 1902, it is administered by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Toledo.

Zion Lutheran Church is a historic church at 501–503 Columbus Avenue in Sandusky, Ohio. It served a German-language congregation originally formed in 1847, and held a German language service into the 1940s.The building is a one-story limestone building built in 1898. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

St. Mary's Catholic Church is a historic church at 429 Central Avenue in Sandusky, Ohio. It was built in 1873 and added to the National Register in 1975.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.The rectory stands by the St. Mary's Catholic Church, which was built in 1855 by German immigrants to serve the German community.The rectory was renovated since 1991.

Saints Peter and Paul Italian Catholic Church and Rectory is a historic church building on Columbus Avenue at East Jefferson Street in Sandusky, Ohio. It is home to a parish of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Toledo. The current Pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul is Fr. Monte Hoyles. The Associate Pastor's are Fr. Zach Brown and Fr. Jacob George. Sts. Peter & Paul has three Deacons; Deacon Phil Dinovo, Deacon Jeff Claar, and Deacon Bill Burch.

First Congregational Church, also known as First Congregational United Church of Christ, is an historic church located at 431 Columbus Avenue in Sandusky, Ohio. Designed in the Romanesque Revival style of architecture, it was built in 1895 by Sandusky builder George Philip Feick (1849-1932). On October 20, 1982, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. First Congregational is still an active member of the United Church of Christ.

The Carnegie Library at Adams and Columbus Ave. in Sandusky, Ohio, also known as the Sandusky Public Library, was built in 1901. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. It was designed by architect Albert D'Oench.Fundraising for a library was begun in 1886 by a Library Funding Association. It is a 1+1⁄2-story building. It was designed by New York City firm D'Oench and Yost (Albert D'Oench and Joseph W. Yost). Yoat worked in Columbus, Ohio before moving to New York City and joining D'Oench. The building has elements of Jacobean Revival style including steep triangular gables, rectangular windows divided by stone mullions, bay windows, and towers with curved roofs.
