The Rivière Rouge (English: Red River) is a tributary of the Ouareau River, flowing in the administrative region of Lanaudière, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. MRC de Matawinie: municipalities of Chertsey, Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez and Rawdon; MRC de Montcalm: Saint-Liguori; MRC of Joliette Regional County Municipality: municipality of Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare and Crabtree.The course of the river passes on the south side of the village of Rawdon.Forestry (mainly forestry) is the main economic activity in the upper part of this valley; agriculture, in the middle and lower part, except in villages areas.

Sacré-Cœur-de-Jésus was a former parish municipality in the Joliette Regional County Municipality in the Lanaudière region of Quebec. On February 2, 1991, it changed its name and its status to the municipality of Sacré-Cœur-de-Crabtree to avoid confusion with a different parish municipality also called Sacré-Cœur-de-Jésus, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region. On October 23, 1996, Sacré-Cœur-de-Crabtree and the municipality of Crabtree (formerly a village, until June 12, 1993) amalgamated to form a new municipality, the modern-day municipality of Crabtree, Quebec.

Joliette is a city in southwest Quebec, Canada. It is approximately 50 kilometres (31 mi) northeast of Montreal, on the L'Assomption River and is the seat of the Regional County Municipality of Joliette. The city is home to the Joliette Art Museum, whose works of art include paintings, sculptures, paper artwork and a large collection of art from the French Middle Ages. Joliette has 3 francophone high schools and 1 anglophone high school, as well as the Joliette campus of the Cégep régional de Lanaudière. It was founded as L'Industrie by businessman Barthélemy Joliette in 1823 and was incorporated as a city in 1863. The city's economy is mainly in the manufacturing and service sectors. The largest gravel manufacturer in the area, Graybec, is located in Joliette and exploits a huge quarry just outside the city. Joliette is the seat of the judicial district of Joliette.

Joliette is a provincial electoral district in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes the cities of Joliette and Saint-Charles-Borromée. It was created for the 1867 election (and an electoral district of that name existed earlier in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada). Its final election was in 1970. It disappeared in the 1973 election and its successor electoral district was Joliette-Montcalm. However, Joliette-Montcalm disappeared in the 1981 election and Joliette was recreated from parts of Joliette-Montcalm and Berthier electoral districts. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it lost Sainte-Marcelline-de-Kildare to Berthier electoral district but gained Sainte-Mélanie from that same electoral district. In the change from the 2011 to the 2017 electoral map, the riding will lose Saint-Jacques, Saint-Liguori and Sainte-Marie-Salomé to the riding of Rousseau.

MRC of Matawinie Regional County Municipality: municipalities of Saint-Donat, Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, Chertsey, Rawdon; MRC of Montcalm Regional County Municipality: municipalities of Sainte-Julienne, Saint-Liguori, Saint-Jacques; MRC of Joliette Regional County Municipality: municipalities of Crabtree, Saint-Paul.The course of the river passes near the villages of Chertsey, Rawdon, Saint-Liguori and Crabtree. The lower part of the Ouareau valley is served mainly by (from the mouth): the route 346, the route 125, the chemin Archambault at Crabtree, chemin du rang de l'Église (at Saint-Liguori, route 343 and boulevard Pontbriand.The surface of the Ouareau River (except the rapids areas) is generally frozen from mid-December to the end of March; safe circulation on the ice is generally done from the end of December to the beginning of March. The water level of the river varies with the seasons and the precipitation.

The St. Charles Borromeo Cathedral (French: Cathédrale Saint-Charles-Borromée de Joliette) is the name given to a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church and is located in Joliette, a town in the administrative region of Lanaudière in the southern part of the province of Quebec (Eastern Canada).The headquarters of the diocese of Joliette was built between 1887 and 1892 according to plans by the architects Maurice Perrault and Albert Mesnard. It was declared as a protected building (immeuble patrimonial) by the city of Joliette in 1999.
