West Ealing railway station is on the Great Western Main Line in Ealing, situated in west London. It is 6 miles 46 chains (10.6 km) down the line from London Paddington and is situated between Ealing Broadway to the east and Hanwell to the west. Its three-letter station code is WEA. Most trains serving the station are operated by TfL Rail running between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 4. Services on the Greenford branch line to Greenford are normally operated by Great Western Railway, but one service per day is operated by Chiltern Railways. Once Crossrail opens fully, the TfL Rail service will become part of the Elizabeth line and run through central London to Abbey Wood and Shenfield.

St John's, Ealing, is an Anglican church in West Ealing, London, UK. It is an evangelical Anglican church. The church has been designated as a Grade II listed building.

St Stephen's Church is a Church of England church in the northern part of West Ealing, London. It was founded in 1867 as a mission and is now established as a separate parish. The first church building was a temporary iron church which was then replaced in 1876 by a substantial Victorian Gothic stone building which is now Grade II listed. Subsidence made that unsafe and it was deconsecrated in 1979. It has been converted to flats but still forms the landmark centrepiece of the St Stephen's Conservation Area. The congregation now holds services on the site of the church hall which has been redeveloped as the third church building and church centre.

West Ealing is a district in the London Borough of Ealing, in West London. The district is about three-quarters of a mile (1.2 km) west of Ealing Broadway. Although there is a long history of settlement in the area, West Ealing in its present form is less than one hundred years old. West Ealing falls under the postcode district W13 and neighbours Hanwell, Ealing, Perivale and Northfields

Northfield Allotments are allotments in the Northfields district of Ealing. They are the oldest allotments in London, having been created from common land in 1832 as Ealing Dean Common Allotments. Originally, their area was over twenty acres but this has been reduced by encroachment, taking about 60% of the land for other developments. The remaining allotments are recognised as an asset of community value and Site of Importance for Nature Conservation.

Notting Hill and Ealing High School is an independent school for girls aged 4 – 18 in Ealing, London. Founded in 1873, it is one of the 26 schools that make up the Girls' Day School Trust. It has a Junior Department of 310 girls (ages 4–11) and a Senior Department of 600 girls (ages 11–18). The current Headmaster is Mr Matthew Shoults. Ms Bevan is Head of the Junior School.

The Forester is a Grade II listed public house at Leighton Road, Northfields, Ealing, London.It is on the Campaign for Real Ale's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors.It was built in 1909 by the architect Nowell Parr.

The Questors Theatre is a theatre venue located in the London Borough of Ealing, west London. It is home of The Questors, a large theatre company which hosts a season of around twenty productions a year and is a member of the Little Theatre Guild of Great Britain and the International Amateur Theatre Association.

The Ealing rail crash was an accident on the British railway system that occurred on 19 December 1973. The 17:18 express train from London Paddington to Oxford—with approximately 650 passengers on board—was derailed while travelling at around 70 mph (110 km/h) between Ealing Broadway and West Ealing. Ten passengers were killed and 94 were injured, and it was Britain's deadliest train crash of the decade until the Moorgate tube crash which killed 45. The cause of the accident was an unsecured maintenance door that had fallen open whilst the train was travelling, after having struck several lineside objects, it struck a Point machine at Longfield Avenue, derailing the entire train.

Castlebar Hill is a hill in Ealing which is 167 feet (51 m) high. In the 18th century, it was the location of Castle Beare, a grand mansion or country seat, for the area at this time was but a hamlet, not yet having been built up as part of the London conurbation.Castlebar Hill is also the name of one of the roads that runs up the hill (now classed as part of the B455). An experimental hostel for deaf and blind children was founded at what is now 8 Castlebar Hill by Dr Edith Whetnall FRCS, a pioneering audiologist. The hostel was opened in 1953 by Iain Macleod MP and Spencer Tracy, as part of The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital. It closed in 1993. In 2015, the Ealing Civil Society unveiled a plaque dedicated to the work of Dr Edith Whetnall on the building.

The Lytton Road Assembly Rooms were built by E. Fergusson Taylor in New Barnet around 1870.Film pioneer Birt Acres gave a display of moving pictures to the Lyonsdown Photographic Society there on 10 January 1896.The building became a cinema in 1925 and was replaced with a purpose built building in 1926 known as The Hippodrome, the New Barnet Kinema, the New Barnet Picture Theatre, and The Regal from 1933. It later became a Mecca bingo hall, a snooker club, and finally a Quazer laser war games centre. It was demolished in 1999 and the flats known as Clivedon Court were built on the site.
