Eddy is an unincorporated community in Lake County, in the U.S. state of Illinois. Eddy is located at 42°27′41″N 87°53′54″W.

WPJX (1500 AM) is a radio station, licensed to Zion, Illinois, that airs a heavy metal format. The station is owned by Polnet Communications, who also owns WKTA Evanston, WNVR Vernon Hills, and WEEF Highland Park-Deerfield. The station transmits with a directional 250 watts of power from 3 towers located on the corner of Delany Road and 21st Street near Wadsworth, Illinois. The station's daytime signal serves northern Lake County, Illinois and Kenosha County, Wisconsin. WPJX was licensed to operate during daytime hours only until May 2009 when it began broadcasting 24 hours a day with a power of 250 watts daytime and 2 watts nighttime.

The Pleasant Prairie RecPlex is a recreational facility in Kenosha County, Wisconsin. "The Largest Municipal Recreational Facility in America", it consists of 302,000 square feet in Prairie Springs Park on the shores of Lake Andrea.

Fielders Stadium is an unfinished baseball park in Zion, Illinois. It was nicknamed "A Diamond on the Border" and "Lake County's Field of Dreams." It was the designated home of the Lake County Fielders (2009-2012) of the North American League. The ballpark was to be located on the corner of 9th Street and Green Bay Road in the Trumpet Park business park in Zion. After the Fielders baseball team folded in August 2011, they did not have a 2012 season and the stadium was never completed.

The Bristol Renaissance Faire is a Renaissance fair held in a Renaissance-themed park in the village of Bristol in Kenosha County, Wisconsin. Its 30-acre site runs along the Wisconsin-Illinois state line west of Interstate 94. It recreates the visit of Queen Elizabeth I to the English port city of Bristol in 1574. The faire runs for nine weekends from early July through Labor Day.

LakeView Technology Academy is a vocational high school in the Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. It serves students grades 9 to 12 from all across KUSD with a focus on STEM education. LakeView opened in the fall of 1997 as a response to overcrowding in KUSD. The school also has partnerships with the Kenosha Area Business Alliance and Gateway Technical College. LakeView is ranked the 234th best high school in the nation, making it the 2nd best in Wisconsin.

Newport Township is a township in Lake County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 6,770. It includes the villages of Wadsworth and Old Mill Creek, as well as smaller portions of the villages of Antioch, Beach Park, Lake Villa, and a corner of the city of Waukegan. The unincorporated communities of Millburn and Russell are also within the township.

Rosecrans is an unincorporated community along Rosecrans Road (Illinois Route 173) just west of U.S. Route 41 in northern Lake County, Illinois, 2.0 miles (3.2 km) south of the Wisconsin state line and 7.8 miles (12.6 km) west of Lake Michigan. The community is named for American Civil War General William Starke Rosecrans. The business district is at the intersection of IL 173 and US 41, east of the residential community.

Pleasant Prairie Power Plant was a 1.21-gigawatt (1,210 MW) coal power plant located in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin in Kenosha County. In 2009, it was listed by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) as the largest generating station in Wisconsin and generated roughly 13% of Wisconsin's electricity, burning around 13,000 tons of coal daily.

Zion-Benton East, or New Tech, is a public high school in Zion, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. It is in Zion-Benton Township High School District 126.

Zion-Benton Township High School, or ZBTHS, is a public high school located at the corner of Kenosha Road and 21st Street in Zion, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. It is part of Zion-Benton Township High School District 126. The school mascot/symbol is the Fighting Zee-Bee which was adapted from the Navy Seabees of World War II. In 2008 the district opened a partner school near the former ZBTHS Pearce Campus called New Tech High at Zion-Benton East, a 4-year high school associated with the New Tech Network of Napa, California. New Tech High at Zion-Benton East is located at the division of Bethesda Avenue and 23rd Street in Zion. ZBTHS is fed by three major middle schools, including North Prairie Junior High of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Beach Park Middle School of Beach Park, IL and Zion Central Middle School of Zion, IL. ZBTHS is one of the most diverse high schools in the state of Illinois. The district is 17.99% Caucasian, 26.3% African American, 47.3% Hispanic, 2.3% Asian and Pacific Islander, .3% Native American, and 5.6% identifying as two or more races (2018–19).
