Ballygunge Government High School

South Calcutta Girls College is an undergraduate women's college in Kolkata, India. It is affiliated to the University of Calcutta.

West Bengal University of Teachers' Training, Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA) was established by an Act of the West Bengal legislature published in the Kolkata Gazette, Extraordinary, 16 January 2015. This is the first university in India set up by any State Government exclusively for training teachers. The university was established in 2015 and Prof. Mita Banerjee became the first Vice Chancellor. It offers different teacher's training courses (B.Ed. and M.Ed.) at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The courses are approved by NCTE. It has 200 teachers' training colleges affiliated to its jurisdiction and its horizon encompasses the entire state of West Bengal. On 27 June 2022, Govt of West Bengal changed The present name of the university from WBUTTEP&A to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Education University

Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) is a medical institution and hospital on Sarat Bose Road, Kolkata, which functions under the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission. It started in July 1932 as Shishumangal Pratishthan, a maternity and child welfare clinic by Swami Dayanand, a disciple of Sarada Devi. Swami Dayananda (born Vimal) was younger brother of Swami Madhavananda, the ninth President of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission (1962–1965). In 1956, the clinic paved way for the present hospital. Today the institution runs a 600-bed general hospital, Ma Sarada School of Nursing, Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences, besides mobile health units and community health services for rural areas.

St. John's Diocesan Girls' H.S. School (informally known as Diocesan or Dio) is a girls-only day school located in Kolkata (Calcutta), West Bengal, India. It was established in 1876 by British missionary Angelina Margaret Hoare from Kent, England who devoted her life to the advancement of women's education in British India. It is a Christian school run by the Protestant Church of North India and its primary language of instruction is English. The school's patron saint is Saint John the Baptist. Although previously a college, the school was stripped of its college status by the British Government when freedom-fighter Bina Das, a student of the school, attempted to assassinate the Governor of Bengal, Stanley Jackson.
