RAF Chipping Norton

Chipping Norton Rural District was a rural district in Oxfordshire, England from 1894 to 1974. It surrounded but did not include the town of Chipping Norton.

Glyme Valley is a 28.9-hectare (71-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Chipping Norton in Oxfordshire. An area of 3 hectares (7.4 acres) is a nature reserve managed by the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife TrustThis linear site runs along two stretches of the valley of the River Glyme, with the upper area encompassing the river's headwaters. The diverse habitats include the river, ponds, fen, marshy grassland, limestone grassland, scrub and wet woodland. There is a large colony of meadow clary, a rare species which is listed in the British Red Data Book of Vascular Plants. There are several badger setts.

Chipping Norton School is a mixed secondary school with academy status located in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. It is attended by 1000 students, with 200 in Sixth Form. It has no specific religious denomination and is a non-boarding, Arts and Science college. The school joined the River Learning Trust, a multi-academy trust on 1 March 2017.The current head teacher is Barry Doherty, who replaced Simon Duffy in September 2018.

The Hawk Stone is a neolithic standing stone just north of the hamlet of Dean, Oxfordshire, England near Diddly Squat Farm belonging to Jeremy Clarkson. He has since named a lager made by him and the Cotswolds Brew Co. after the stone standing near to the fields where the barley is grown for the lager.

Old Chalford is a hamlet in Enstone civil parish, about 2 miles (3 km) east of Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire. Old Chalford is on the River Glyme, which is dammed in the hamlet forming a number of ponds. The Wychwood Way long distance footpath passes through the hamlet. About 0.5 miles (800 m) southeast of Old Chalford are old earthworks and ruins of limestone walls which are the remains of the deserted medieval village of Nether Chalford.

Knollbury is a scheduled Iron Age hillfort enclosure to the north west of Chadlington in Oxfordshire. Believed to be defensive in nature the enclosure is rectangular (100 metres by 150 metres) formed by a 2-to-4-metre-high (6.6 to 13.1 ft) and 10-metre-wide (33 ft) earth banks. The two gaps in the earth banks at the eastern corners are believed to be of a later date.

The museum's exhibits present Chipping Norton's development from Saxon times, including its role as a market town involved in the wool trade.

Over 55,000 patrons attend annually. It is one of the UK's smallest producing theatres.
