Clapton Moor is a 40-hectare (99-acre) Avon Wildlife Trust nature reserve and part of the Gordano Valley, Clapton Moor, Middle Bridge and rhynes Site of Nature Conservation Interest in Somerset, England.Clapton Moor is located in the Gordano Valley region of North Somerset. Precisely, north of Clevedon lane, in between the villages of Weston-in-Gordano and Clapton-in-Gordano. The nature reserve lies within the borders of the Clapton-in-Gordano civil parish.Access to the reserve is restricted for non-permit holders, but a public footpath passes through the reserve from Clapton Drove to Clevedon lane. There is a path which leads to a bird hide in the south of the reserve, and a bridge across a large rhyne near the eastern boundary.

Tickenham is a village and civil parish near Clevedon and Nailsea in North Somerset, England. The parish has a population of 910. It has a primary school, a village hall and a garden centre, but no shops, although it formerly had a post office. A typical ribbon development, Tickenham extends for approximately two miles along the B3130 road, which runs along the bottom of a ridge of hills between Clevedon and Failand. There are a few short side-roads, but for most of this distance the village consists of detached houses and farmhouses built along the edge of the main road.

It is situated in the middle of the Gordano valley on the north side, and in the Unitary Authority of North Somerset, on the road between Clevedon and Portishead. The parish has a population of 301.It is the largest village in the valley, with a public house, the 18th century White Hart, and a garage.

Limebreach Wood (sometimes written as Lime Breach Wood) is a woodland on the south side of the Tickenham Ridge, between Clevedon and Bristol. It is very close to the site of Cadbury Camp.It is an ancient woodland, with a high proportion of Small-leaved Lime trees. The mushroom-forming fungi Limacella ochraceolutea is found in the wood.Part of the wood is managed as a nature reserve by Avon Wildlife Trust. The pyralid moth Salebriopsis albicilla occurs here.

Weston-in-Gordano SSSI (grid reference ST452744) is a 12.55 hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest near the village of Weston in Gordano, North Somerset, notified in 1993. Note that there is also a separate biological and geological SSSI covering the Gordano Valley. This is a Geological Conservation Review site because temporary exposures here have shown Pleistocene sediments, including interglacial fluvial sands and marine gravels and cold-stage fluvial gravels. Rich molluscan faunas have been reported from the section. The presence of freshwater and marine interglacial deposits gives it great potential importance for the understanding of the Quaternary sequence of the Vale of Gordano and Avonmouth lowlands.

Cadbury Road railway station served the village of Weston in Gordano, Somerset, England from 1907 to 1940 on the Weston, Clevedon and Portishead Railway.

Clapton Court is a Grade II listed building, in Clapton in Gordano within the English county of Somerset. Local lords of the manor, the Arthur family originally built on the site. The current porch tower remains from the 15th-century house; the rest was added in the 17th and 19th centuries. It has been owned by many local gentry, but changed from mansion house to farmhouse.

The Church of St Michael in Clapton in Gordano, Somerset, England, dates from the 13th century and is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building, and is a redundant church in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It was vested in the Trust on 1 June 1995.St Michael's closed in 1995 but due to its architectural interest was adopted by the Trust, however occasional services are still held throughout the year.The 12th-century tympanum is the oldest visible part of the church to have survived, however the majority of the building is from the 13th century.Inside are reredos and benches, a 14th-century font and a late 17th-century monument. The 13th-century oak screen in the church originally divided the Great Hall and the Buttery in the adjacent Court House.The first record of the church is an agreement dated 1226 between William, son of Arthur de Clopton and Richard of Keynsham Abbey.

Weston Big Wood (grid reference ST455750) is a 37.48 hectare woodland west of the town of Portishead, North Somerset, England. It is a nature reserve and biological Site of Special Scientific Interest, notified in 1971. The wood takes its name from the nearby village of Weston-in-Gordano.

Nightingale Valley (grid reference ST449751) is a 5.4 hectare geological Site of Special Scientific Interest near the town of Portishead, North Somerset, notified in 1989. This site in the Vale of Gordano is listed because of Pleistocene ‘plateau-deposits’ which include ‘cannon-shot’ gravels, fine sandy gravels and silty gravels with a wide range of erratic lithologies.

North Weston is a village in the North Somerset district of Somerset, England. It lies between Portishead and Weston-in-Gordano, within the parish of Portishead. In the 2001 census the North Weston ward (which includes the Redcliffe Bay area of Portishead) had a population of 3,890.At the north end of the village is Gordano School. To the west of the village lies Weston Big Wood. North Weston was historically a hamlet in the parish of Portishead. It was created a separate civil parish in 1894. In 1993 the parish was reunited with Portishead. The name of the parish was then "Portishead and North Weston" from 1993 to 2011 when the name was changed to just Portishead.
