Leitrim station

Bowesville is an under construction station on the Trillium Line in Ottawa, Ontario. It is being constructed as part of the Stage 2 O-Train expansion and is scheduled for completion in 2024. The station will consist of two side platforms and is located southeast of the intersection of Bowesville and Earl Armstrong roads.

The Leitrim Wetlands (also known as Albion Road Wetlands) is a large provincially significant bog just south of Findlay Creek, a suburban neighbourhood in the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Efforts to protect it from development have been a longstanding issue for environmental organizations in the city.

Blossom Park is a neighbourhood in Gloucester-Southgate Ward in the south-end of the city of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Before the 2001 city of Ottawa amalgamation it was a suburb of the city of Gloucester. The current limits of the neighbourhood are: Hunt Club Road to the north, Airport Parkway to the west, Conroy Road to the east and the Greenbelt to the south (near Lester Road). According to the Canada 2016 Census, the population of the neighbourhood was 14,190.

Findlay Creek is a suburban neighbourhood in Riverside South-Findlay Creek Ward in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. According to the 2021 Canadian Census, the population of the community was 14,089 and there were 4,395 dwellings.The Findlay Creek Community Association is the volunteer group representing the interests of the community. Findlay Creek also has a small shopping centre and 3 gas stations.

Uplands is an under construction station on Line 4 of the O-Train system in Ottawa, Ontario. It is being constructed as part of the Stage 2 O-Train expansion and is scheduled for completion in 2024. The station will consist of two side platforms and is part of the only double tracked segment of the line.

Rideau Carleton Raceway is a Canadian horse racing and gambling complex located at 4837 Albion Road in Ottawa, Ontario. The facility began operation in 1962 and specialises in Standardbred harness racing. In 2000, the venue introduced slot machines, under the authority of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) which were expected to draw annual revenue of $130 million. The site includes a restaurant and hosts musical performances.Rideau Carleton is also the site of the Gloucester Fair (now the Capital Fair) since 1998. The raceway provides facilities for numerous charitable fundraisers and hosts annual events for several embassies.The operations at the Raceway are currently run by Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos, which bought the facility in September 2017. Hard Rock holds 51% of the stock.

Kempark (sometimes spelled Kemp Park) is a community in Gloucester-Southgate Ward in the south end of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Prior to amalgamation in 2001, it located in City of Gloucester. The community is located at the south end of Conroy Road when it meets with Bank Street. It is located right next to the village of Leitrim, Ontario. It is about 12 km south of Downtown Ottawa. The community is home to approximately 200 people.

Ficko is a dispersed rural community in Osgoode Ward in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located in the former City of Gloucester, which was amalgamated into Ottawa in 2001. The community is located on Bowesville Road halfway between Earl Armstrong Road and Rideau Road, and includes Ficko Crescent. The Osgoode Link Pathway (which is the decommissioned railbed of the Canadian Pacific Railway) passes to its East. It is named for Herman Frederick Ficko, who purchased 12.5 acres of land on 20 October 1958 for the development of the subdivision.

Ottawa South (French: Ottawa-Sud) is a provincial electoral district (riding) in the Canadian province of Ontario, in the city of Ottawa.

Leitrim is a dispersed rural community in the South Gloucester section of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and is named for the Irish County Leitrim. The area comprises the rapidly growing Findlay Creek suburban neighbourhood. The area is bounded by Leitrim Road to the north and Rideau Road to the south, generally between Bank Street on the east and Albion Road to the west. The community design plan outlines the development for the area in the coming years. Findlay Creek Village is currently the only area under development within this region. Southbrooke is another community planned within the area. Located nearby are the Leitrim Wetlands, the Rideau Carleton Raceway, a storm water system and military intelligence gathering station CFS Leitrim. In September 2005, OC Transpo bus route 144 (now Local Route 93) was extended from Blossom Park to serve the area. A planned extension of the O-Train Trillium Line to Leitrim Station was cancelled in 2006, but is now planned for 2022.

Ottawa/Macdonald–Cartier International Airport or Macdonald–Cartier International Airport (French: L'aéroport international Macdonald-Cartier) (IATA: YOW, ICAO: CYOW) is the main international airport serving Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and its metropolitan area known as the National Capital Region. It is named after the Canadian statesmen and two of the "founding fathers of Canada", Sir John A. Macdonald and Sir George-Étienne Cartier. Located 5.5 nautical miles (10.2 km; 6.3 mi) south of downtown Ottawa in the south end of the city, it is Canada's eighth-busiest airport, Ontario's second-busiest airport by airline passenger traffic, with 2,992,334 passengers in 2022. The airport was the home base for First Air. It is classified as an airport of entry by Nav Canada, and is staffed by the Canada Border Services Agency. It is one of eight Canadian airports that have United States border preclearance facilities. The airport was formerly a military base known as CFB Ottawa South/CFB Uplands, and is still home to the Royal Canadian Air Force's 412 Transport Squadron, which provides air transport for Canadian and foreign government officials.

Gloucester-Southgate Ward (Ward 10) is a city ward located in Ottawa, Ontario. Located in the city's south end, the ward includes Gloucester Glen east of the Rideau River, most of the Ottawa International Airport, CFSU Uplands, Blossom Park, Greenboro, Hunt Club Park, portions of Heron Gate south of Walkley Road, the Ottawa South/Hawthorne Industrial Park and rural areas west of Anderson Road and north of Leitrim. Previously, the ward included the community of Riverside South located south of the airport but in a ward reorganization, the growing community was included in the new ward of Gloucester-South Nepean. Prior to amalgamation, this area was covered by Southgate Ward on Ottawa City Council and Gloucester South Ward on Gloucester City Council. Southgate Ward was known as Billings Ward from 1980 to 1994, and Gloucester Ward prior to that. The ward was created in 1950, when the area was annexed from Gloucester Township. From 1952 to 1956 it was part of Ward 1.
