One South Wacker is a 550 ft (168 m) tall skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, United States. It was constructed from 1979 to 1982 and has 40 floors. Murphy/Jahn, Inc. Architects designed the building, which is tied for the 72nd tallest building in Chicago. The tower is featured in the music video for the Daft Punk song "Burnin'".

One North Wacker, UBS Tower is a 50-story (199 m (653 ft)) skyscraper at One North Wacker Drive in downtown Chicago, Illinois. The tower was built from 1999 to 2002 to accommodate Swiss investment bank UBS AG's Chicago headquarters. Originally UBS Tower, as it was solely known then, housed four different branches of the bank including its investment banking, wealth management advisory, asset management, and private banking businesses.It was designed by Lohan Associates (now Goettsch Partners) and developed by John Buck Company.

The Market Street Terminal was a station on the Chicago "L"'s Lake Street Elevated – today part of the Green Line – between 1893 and 1948. The Elevated's original downtown terminus, it opened at the corner of Madison Street and Market Street (modern-day Wacker Drive) on November 6, 1893, alongside the rest of the Elevated. When the Loop was constructed in 1895, the Terminal was required to be demolished but no action was taken. When it closed in 1948, only overflow traffic served it. It was demolished shortly thereafter for the construction of double-decked Wacker Drive.

The Gage Group Buildings consist of three buildings located at 18, 24 and 30 S. Michigan Avenue, between Madison Street and Monroe Street, in Chicago, Illinois. They were built from 1890–1899, designed by Holabird & Roche for the three millinery firms - Gage, Keith and Ascher. The building at 18 S. Michigan Avenue has an ornamental façade designed by Louis Sullivan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 14, 1985, and was designated a Chicago Landmark on September 11, 1996. In addition, it is a historic district contributing property for the Chicago Landmark Historic Michigan Boulevard District. The façades of these buildings demonstrate two different approaches to the Chicago School, a design movement that led to the creation of modern commercial architecture. The buildings by Holabird & Roche are straightforward, while the facade designed by Sullivan exemplifies his more expressive approach. The tallest building is known as "18 South Michigan Avenue" and was previously called the Gage Brothers and Company Building. Before the Chicago street addresses were changed in 1909, the building had the address of 130 S. Michigan Avenue. The ornamental flourishes at the top of Sullivan's façade were pushed upwards when four stories were added in 1902 by different architects. This is one of only five buildings in Chicago designed by Louis Sullivan as a solo architect that are still standing. The two smaller buildings to the south are also part of the Gage Group Buildings. The Edson Keith and Company Building is connected to the Gage Building and is located at 24 S. Michigan Avenue. The Theodore Ascher and Company Building is also known as the 30 South Michigan Building.

71 South Wacker is an American office tower in Chicago completed in 2005. The 48-story skyscraper stands at 679 feet (207 m) on 71 South Wacker Drive. It is owned by the Irvine Company. The 1,765,000 square foot (164,000 m²) building contains 65,000 cubic yards (50,000 m³) of concrete and 12,000 tons of structural steel. It took about 2,700 truckloads to excavate the building's foundation, and 1,300,000 man hours over nearly two years to finish. Twenty-eight high speed elevators serve the building. The building features extensive landscape design by Chicago's Hoerr Schaudt Landscape Architects, both inside and outside, from bamboo groves, complete with fountains, lining the modern lobby to lush green grass in raised curved stone planters on the building's south side. 71 South Wacker also contains art panels by Keith Tyson and a trompe-l'œil mural by Ricci Albenda. The anchor tenants of the building include Colliers International, Benesch Law, EVRAZ North America, Columbia Threadneedle Investments and Mayer Brown LLP. The floor 2 cafe is available to all tenants and registered guests.

The Civic's main performance space, named for Ardis Krainik, seats 3,563, making it the second-largest opera auditorium in North America, after the Metropolitan Opera House. Built for the Chicago Civic Opera, today it is the permanent home of the Lyric Opera of Chicago. It contains a 3,563-seat opera house, the Civic Opera House, which is the second-largest opera auditorium in North America. Today, the opera house is the permanent home of the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Samuel Insull envisioned and hired the design team for building a new opera house to serve as the home for the Chicago Civic Opera, as the company was called. The building is shaped like a huge chair, sometimes referred to as "Insull's Throne." Insull directed the chair should face west to signify turning his back on New York. Insull had left a vice presidency at General Electric in New York in 1892, after he was not named its president. Subsequently, he moved to Chicago and became president of Chicago Edison (Commonwealth Edison). Insull selected the architecture firm Graham, Anderson, Probst & White who were responsible for several other buildings in the downtown Chicago Loop. As they did on other occasions, the architects commissioned Henry Hering to produce architectural sculpture for the building. Mary Garden of the Chicago Civic Opera announced on July 15, 1929, that the opera's inaugural season would include the commissioned work of Hamilton Forrest entitled Camille.During the 1950s and 1960s the building was identified by a large "Kemper Insurance" sign, although it was not that company's headquarters. In 1993, the Lyric Opera of Chicago purchased the opera house facilities in the building it had rented for 64 years. In 2012, Tishman Speyer Properties L.P. sold the 915,000 square feet (85,000 m2) office tower portion of the building for $125.8 million to an affiliate of Nanuet, N.Y.-based Berkley Properties LLC.

200 West Madison is a skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois. The building rises 599 feet (182 m) in the Chicago Loop. It contains 45 floors, and was completed in 1982. 200 West Madison currently stands as the 52nd-tallest building in the city. The architectural firm who designed the building was Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the same firm who designed Chicago's Willis Tower and John Hancock Center and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The building was designed with a "sawtooth edge," and incorporates six corners onto the southeast face of the building. Thus, the building has nine corner offices on most of its floors. Originally named "Madison Plaza," the building was proposed to have a twin tower located on the lot situated south of the tower. However, plans for a second tower were ultimately abandoned. Six years later, in 1988, the Miglin-Beitler Skyneedle was proposed for construction on the same lot, adjacent to 200 West Madison. Plans called for 125-story tower that was to rise 2,000 ft (610 m). However, that plan was also eventually cancelled. The lot is now the site of a parking garage.200 West Madison is the location of "Dawn Shadows," a famous black metal sculpture created by Louise Berliawsky Nevelson. The sculpture was brought to the plaza in 1983.

111 South Wacker Drive is a high-rise office building located in Chicago, Illinois.. Completed in 2005 and standing at 681 feet (208 m), the 51 story blue-glass structure is one of the tallest in the city. It sits on the site of the former U.S. Gypsum Building, one of the tallest buildings in Chicago to be demolished. Designed by Lohan Caprille Goettsch Architects, the building is noted for its unique parking ramp. The ramp's cyclical form creates a dramatic sloped ceiling for the building's main lobby underneath. The ramp's corkscrew design is reflected outside as well; the pavement follows the radiating lines set inside. The building is also noteworthy for its sustainable design, becoming the first-ever project to be certified LEED-CS Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council.
