University of Wisconsin Law School

The law building is located on Bascom Hill on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus, at 975 Bascom Mall, Madison, Wisconsin. The University of Wisconsin Law School offers two major programs and one doctorate program to the almost 800 students that make up the student body.

The University of Wisconsin–Madison College of Letters and Science is the largest college of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. It is located at Madison, Wisconsin.

The University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Education is a school within the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Although teacher education was offered at the university's founding in 1848, the School was officially started in 1930 and today is composed of 10 academic departments. U.S. News & World Report in its 2016 Best Grad School rankings rated UW-Madison's School of Education No. 1 among public institutions and tied for fourth overall. In all, seven UW-Madison education specialty programs were ranked by U.S. News among the top three nationally. Diana Hess succeeded Julie Underwood as the school's ninth dean in August 2015.

Lathrop Hall is located on the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

North Hall, University of Wisconsin was the first structure on the University of Wisconsin campus. Located on Bascom Hill, it was built in 1851 at a cost of $19,000. John Muir resided in North Hall when he was a student at the university from 1860 to 1863. It currently houses the offices of the political science faculty at the university. Muir knoll, across the street, was home to the first American university ski tournament in 1920.

University of Wisconsin Science Hall is a building on the campus of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. It is significant for its association with Charles R. Van Hise, "who led the Department of Mineralogy and Geology to national prominence" and then served as president of the university. The building was constructed in 1888. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1993.

Bascom Hill is the iconic main quadrangle that forms the historic core of the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus. It is located on the opposite end of State Street from the Wisconsin State Capitol, and is named after John Bascom, former president of the University of Wisconsin.The hill is crowned by Bascom Hall, the main administration building for the campus. Near the main entrance to Bascom Hall sits a statue of President Abraham Lincoln. The first university building, North Hall, was constructed on Bascom Hill in 1851 and is still in use by the Department of Political Science. The second building, South Hall, was built in 1855 and is now used by the administration of the University of Wisconsin College of Letters and Science. In 1974 the area was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Bascom Hill Historic District. In addition to the main quadrangle, the district includes historic buildings ranging from the Red Gym to the Wisconsin Historical Society building to the Carillon Tower. The NRHP nomination considers the district "the most historic cluster of institutional buildings in Wisconsin."

Luther Memorial Church is a Lutheran congregation at 1021 University Avenue in Madison, Wisconsin in the United States. A member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), it is known for its worship, music, education, social ministry and preschool programs.

The Wisconsin School of Business (WSB) is the business school of the University of Wisconsin–Madison, a public research university in Madison, Wisconsin and consistently ranks among the top business schools in the world. Founded in 1900, it has more than 45,000 living alumni. The undergraduate program prepares students for business careers, while its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is based on focused career specializations, and its PhD program prepares students for careers in academia. The school offers student services, such as Accenture Leadership Center, The Huber Business Analytics Lab and International Programs. In the 2019 U.S. News & World Report rankings, the Wisconsin School of Business's undergraduate program was ranked 18th overall among business schools. The University of Wisconsin-Madison currently has the most Fortune 500 CEOs alumni of any school in the world, with 14.

The University of Wisconsin–Madison Mead Witter School of Music is a highly acclaimed collegiate music school consisting of an international roster of faculty artists and scholars devoted to the School's fundamental mission of fostering and promoting the global cultural art of music. It was known as the University of Wisconsin - Madison School of Music until 2016, when the Mead Witter Foundation contributed a $25 million gift to the University, which is being used to fund a planned new performance building. The institution consists of a 60-member faculty that maintains focuses on individual student achievement. The School of Music was established in the year of 1895. The music degree program was organized in 1915, emphasizing training for public school music teachers. In 1939 the School gained acclaimed distinction with the creation of the first musical artist-in-residence position at any American university. The School is housed within the George L. Mosse Humanities building.

The Chazen Museum of Art is an art museum located at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in Madison, Wisconsin. The Chazen Museum of Art is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums.

The Sterling Hall bombing occurred on the University of Wisconsin–Madison campus on August 24, 1970, and was committed by four men as an action against the university's research connections with the U.S. military during the Vietnam War. It resulted in the death of a university physics researcher and injuries to three others.
