On February 24, 2021, a botched buy-bust operation resulted in a shootout between units of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City. The incident resulted in the deaths of two police officers, a PDEA agent and an informant. Both agencies claimed that they had been conducting a legitimate anti-drug operation.

Asis and has academic offerings focusing on computer science, information and communications technology, and business studies.

Batasan station is an under-construction Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station located on the MRT Line 7 (MRT-7) system in Batasan Hills, Quezon City, Philippines. It is near the Sandiganbayan Centennial Building, Public Attorneys Office Building, Batasan TODA Terminal, the Commission on Audit Complex and the Batasan Pambansa Complex. It is the ninth station for trains headed towards the North Triangle Common Station and the sixth station for trains headed to San Jose del Monte.

Holy Spirit National High School (HSNHS) is a public high school located in Barangay Holy Spirit in Quezon City, Philippines. It was founded on 2003 as Commonwealth High School Holy Spirit Annex, the annex school of Commonwealth High School in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City. In 2008, it was renamed as Holy Spirit National High School after getting its independence.

Broadcast City was the headquarters and broadcast complex of the television and radio networks owned by Roberto Benedicto, namely - Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Radio Philippines Network (RPN) and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC). It was located at Old Balara, Capitol Hills, Diliman, Quezon City and served as the three network's main television and radio production center and main transmission facility. It was inaugurated in July 1978 and was the most modern broadcast facility at that time. After the 1986 People Power Revolution toppled the government of Ferdinand Marcos, Broadcast City and the three networks were sequestered by the new government and placed under the management of a Board of Administrators tasked to operate and manage its business and affairs subject to the control and supervision of Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG).BBC ended its operations on March 20, 1986 and its radio (101.9 FM) and television frequencies and one frequency from RPN (630 AM) were awarded back to ABS-CBN in July 1986. In 2011, IBC entered into a joint venture agreement with Prime Realty, an affiliate of R-II Builders Group of Reghis Romero Jr. The agreement called for the development of 3.5 hectares of Broadcast City.In October 2012, RPN was acquired by the Solar TV Network and discontinued use of the Broadcast City facilities. IBC has discontinued the use of Broadcast City since December 2018. Broadcast City was demolished on 2020 to give way for the Larossa Condominium project of Primehomes Real Estate Development Inc.

Batasan Hills is a barangay of Quezon City, Philippines. The barangay was originally planned as the National Government Center of the Philippines. The Batasang Pambansa Complex, which sits atop the Constitution Hill, is the legislative session hall of the House of Representatives of the Philippines. The Sandiganbayan, a special appellate court, is also located here. The barangay borders the barangays of Commonwealth and Bagong Silangan to the north, Barangay Holy Spirit to the west, Barangay Matandang Balara to the south, and the municipality of San Mateo, Rizal to the east.

The Batasang Pambansa bombing occurred on the night of November 13, 2007, at the Batasang Pambansa Complex (National Assembly Complex) in Quezon City, Philippines. The blast killed Congressman Wahab Akbar and Marcial Taldo, a staff member of Congresswoman Luzviminda Ilagan, and wounded Ilagan, Congressman Pryde Henry Teves, and two others.

The Batasang Pambansa Complex, or simply the Batasan (lit. 'legislature'), is the seat of the House of Representatives of the Philippines. It is located along the Batasan Road in Batasan Hills, Quezon City. The complex was initially the home of the Batasang Pambansa, the former legislature of the Philippines which was established as an interim assembly in 1978 and finally as an official body in 1984. Under the 1973 Constitution, it replaced the bicameral Congress of the Philippines established under the 1935 Commonwealth Constitution. When the bicameral Congress was restored in 1987, the complex was set aside as the home of the House of Representatives. The main building of the complex is still often referred to as the Batasang Pambansa. The Senate, the upper house of Congress, does not meet in the Batasan, but in the GSIS Building across Metro Manila in Pasay.

The Iglesia Ni Cristo Locale of Capitol (Filipino: Lokal ng Capitol) is a chapel of the Philippine-based church, the Iglesia ni Cristo. Located along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City, it was completed on July 19, 2014, and is one of the largest chapels ever built by the church, with the capacity of 3000. Also in the compound, where the District Office of the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City located. Built on the 7,500 square lot acquired by the church from National Housing Authority (Philippines), the chapel was erected 43 years after the establishment of locale congregation of Capitol in 1971, which has also having a former chapel nearby which seats 200 worshippers at a time. It was designed to hold around 3,000 worshippers, accommodating some 1,300 in the main hall plus 200 in choir loft and 1,200 in its three-level balcony which designed for accommodating worshippers. The compound features, a two-story multi-level parking building which is the first in the INC church architecture. On July 19, 2014, a week before the centennial celebrations of the church, the edifice was dedicated by Brother Eduardo V. Manalo which was coincided with the church's mid-year thanksgiving.

Tandang Sora station is an under-construction Metro Rail Transit (MRT) station located on the MRT Line 7 (MRT-7) system along Commonwealth Avenue in Matandang Balara and New Era, Quezon City. The Tandang Sora Flyover was demolished in March 2019 to give way for the construction of the MRT-7 station. Nearest landmarks include the Iglesia ni Cristo Central Temple, New Era University and Net 25 TV studios. The station is named after Melchora Aquino also known as Tandang Sora, one of the key personalities in the Philippine Revolution. This station should not be confused with the future Tandang Sora Station of the Metro Manila Subway Line 9, to be constructed at the corner of Tandang Sora Avenue and Mindanao Avenue, also in Quezon City. As of 31 January 2023, the project is 66.07% complete; the station's construction is planned to be finished by June of the same year.
