Campbellsville Historic Commercial District

Merchant Tower (formerly known as Merchant's Hotel) is a historic structure in Campbellsville, Kentucky, United States. Built in 1910, it is listed as Merchant's Hotel on the National Register of Historic Places and is a part of the Campbellsville Historic Commercial District. It is a three-story building built as a hotel, which later served as a rooming house.

Campbellsville is a city in central Kentucky founded in 1817 by Andrew Campbell. It is known for Campbellsville University, Taylor Regional Hospital health care system, its historic downtown, and the proximity to Green River Lake State Park. Campbellsville is the county seat of Taylor County which has a geographic boundary shaped like a heart. Campbellsville celebrated its bicentennial on July 4, 2017.

Campbellsville University (CU) is a private Christian university in Campbellsville, Kentucky. It was founded as Russell Creek Academy and enrolls more than 12,000 students. The university offers associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. In 2014, the university trustees ended its covenant agreement with the Kentucky Baptist Convention (Southern Baptist Convention), but vowed to uphold the ideals.

Campbellsville High School, established in 1865, is a U.S. high school (grades 9 to 12) in the city of Campbellsville, Taylor County, Kentucky. It is one of the two high schools in Campbellsville, the other being Taylor County High School.

Ron Finley Stadium (also known as Citizens Bank Field) is a football stadium in Campbellsville, Kentucky, United States. It is the home stadium for the Campbellsville University Tigers football and soccer teams. The athletic department completed renovations in 2010, which included a new lighting system and artificial FieldTurf playing surface.The stadium was dedicated in 2006 in honor of Ron Finley, who helped reinstate the football program in 1987 and served as head coach until 2002.

Taylor County High School is a U.S. high school (grades 9 to 12) in the city of Campbellsville, Taylor County, Kentucky. It is one of two high schools in Campbellsville, the other being Campbellsville High School.

WLCU (88.7 FM) is a Christian radio and College radio–formatted radio station licensed to Campbellsville, Kentucky, United States. The station is locally–owned by Campbellsville University in conjunction with low-power television station WLCU-CD (channel 15).

Taylor Regional Hospital (TRH) is located in Campbellsville, Kentucky. TRH is a 90-bed facility with services including an emergency care Level III Trauma Center, cardiac catheterization and rehabilitation, 24-hour physician-staffed emergency services, 24-hour teleradiography services, mobile medical resonance imaging, obstetrics, orthopedics, a cancer treatment center.

Taylor County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 26,023. Its county seat is Campbellsville. Settled by people from Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and North Carolina after the American Revolutionary War, the county was organized in 1848 in the Highland Rim region. It is named for United States Army General Zachary Taylor, later President of the United States. Taylor County was the 100th of the 120 counties created by Kentucky. The Campbellsville Micropolitan Statistical Area includes all of Taylor County.

All three stations share studios and WCKQ's transmitter facilities are located on KY 323 (Friendship Pike Road) near US 68 in southwestern Campbellsville,

The Jacob Hiestand House, in Taylor County, Kentucky west of Campbellsville, Kentucky, was built from 1823 to 1825. It is one of 12 German stone houses surviving in the state, It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The house is a one-story, three-bay central hall plan house built of coursed limestone. Construction was by "the dry construction method of clay sealed with lime mortar." It is about 24 by 52 feet (7.3 m × 15.8 m) in plan, with a cellar; each of its two rooms, on either side of its hall, has an arched stone fireplace. It was home of Jacob Hiestand, who was born in York County, Pennsylvania, who moved to Kentucky around 1816 and built this house in 1823. A daughter, Araminta, and her husband Joseph H. Chandler, an attorney and state senator, were living in the house when it was hit by Morgan's Raid, the rambling 1000-mile long 1863 Civil War raid of Confederate General John Hunt Morgan into Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia. The property included a separated 12 by 14 feet (3.7 m × 4.3 m) stone kitchen, a stone springhouse, a dug well, and a .25 acres (0.10 ha) cemetery. Development of a shopping plaza in the area in 1988, threatened the house; the house and its cemetery were both moved about .5 miles (0.80 km) to their present locations. The house is now a museum, the Hiestand House-Taylor County Museum.

Hatcher is an unincorporated community in Taylor County, Kentucky, United States. It lies along Route 55 south of the city of Campbellsville, the county seat of Taylor County. Its elevation is 820 feet (250 m).
