Wilmington Park

Riverview Cemetery is a historic cemetery on North Market Street in Wilmington, Delaware. The cemetery consists of two sections, on either side of North Market Street. The southern section consists of a long, roughly rectangular plot that was purchased in 1872, when the cemetery was founded. The landscaping of this area was designed by Herman J. Schwarzmann, and is the only known example of his work in the state. In 1899 the cemetery's size was doubled by the acquisition of a trapezoidal parcel on the north side of North Market Street. This section was laid out by the cemetery's superintendent, Goldsmith C. Nailor. The northern section is the location of the state's first community mausoleum, a Classical Revival structure built in 1917 to a pattern design by the American Mausoleum Company of Clyde, Ohio. The cemetery was founded and established by a consortium of Wilmington fraternal and social organizations as the Riverview Cemetery Company. Today, it is owned and operated by the Friends of Historic Riverview Cemetery.The cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

The Wilmington Drama League is a community theater group in Wilmington, Delaware in the United States that produces performing arts and owns its own theater. The theater is located at 10 West Lea Blvd. in North Wilmington, Delaware . In the community theater productions the actors are not paid, although the band for a musical might be.

Kingswood Methodist Episcopal Church, also known as Kingswood Mission of St. Paul's M.E. Church, Kingswood Community Center, and Jimmy Jenkins Community Center, was a historic Methodist Episcopal church located in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware in Riverside–11th Street Bridge. It was built in 1891, and was a two bay by three bay, detached brick structure in a Vernacular Romanesque style.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. It has since been demolished.

The Howard R. Young Correctional Institution, colloquially known as Gander Hill Prison, is a state prison for male inmates in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware, owned and operated by the Delaware Department of Correction. The facility first opened in 1982, and houses 1500 inmates.

Matson Run is a 2.25 mi (3.62 km) long 1st order tributary to Shellpot Creek in New Castle County, Delaware. This is the only stream of this name in the United States.

P. S. Dupont High School is a historic high school building located at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1934, and is a four-story, "E"-shaped, red brick building in a Colonial Revival / Neo-Georgian style. It has a hipped roof covered with dark reddish-brown shingles, topped by a wood, three-level tower and cupola that ends in a multiple-sided, bell-like copper roof and weather vane. The school is named for Pierre S. duPont (1870–1954).It was one of three traditional public high schools in Wilmington, and initially did not accept black students, who were required to go to Howard High School. It was disestablished after Wilmington was divided into multiple school districts in the 1980s.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. The school is currently used as a middle school in the Brandywine School District.

Brandywine Village was an early center of U.S. industrialization located on the Brandywine River in what is now Wilmington, Delaware. The Brandywine crosses the Fall Line just north of Wilmington, and descends from about 160 feet (49 m) above sea level in Chadds Ford to just a few feet above sea level in Wilmington. The river's descent allowed manufacturers — notably, of flour and gunpowder — to use high-powered machinery in the days before the steam engine, while its navigable channel to the Delaware River and Delaware Bay allowed them to load oceangoing ships.

Brandywine Village Historic District is a national historic district located along Brandywine Creek at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It encompasses 12 contributing buildings, 7 contributing sites, and 2 contributing structures. Brandywine Village developed in the late-18th century as a group of flour mills, the homes of prosperous millers, mill workers, shop keepers and artisans. Located in the district are a set of mill owner built homes of granite. Notable buildings include the Gothic Revival style St. John's Episcopal Church (1857-1858) designed by noted Philadelphia architect John Notman, Brandywine Methodist Episcopal Church (1857), and Brandywine Academy (1798). In 1788, Brandywine Village was the site of the first mechanized mill designed by Oliver Evans.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 and expanded in 1976.

New Castle Leather Raw Stock Warehouse, also known as the Kaumagraph Building, is a historic warehouse building located at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1917, and is a three-story, rectangular steel, concrete, and brick building measuring 100 feet by 200 feet and featuring a projecting roof cornice, flat roof, and large window areas. It is characterized as a fireproof industrial building in the commercial style of the early 1900s. It was originally built as a warehouse to store goatskins for a Wilmington kid leather manufacturer and later housed the plant and offices of a specialty printing firm.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It is located in the East Brandywine Historic District.

Dr. John A. Brown House, also known as the "Anchorage", is a historic home located at Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in three phases. The core is a 2+1⁄2-story, three-bay, side-hall plan, quarried granite dwelling with late Federal detailing. It dates to the 1820s. Attached to the core is a brick kitchen wing. Two square multiple-story brick Italian Villa towers were added to the north gable end later in the 19th century. Also added at this time were the stucco exterior and a columned porch.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Episcopal Church in Delaware, formerly known as the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware, is one of 108 dioceses making up the Episcopal Church in the United States of America. It consists of 33 congregations or parishes in an area the same as the State of Delaware. The diocese is led by a bishop and staff and provides episcopal supervision and some administrative assistance for its parishes. The current bishop, the eleventh Bishop of Delaware, is Kevin Scott Brown, who was consecrated bishop December 9, 2017, and succeeded Wayne P. Wright upon the latter's retirement. The diocesan offices were located for many years at the campus of the Cathedral Church of Saint John, in Wilmington, Delaware. When the cathedral closed in 2012, the offices moved, in 2014, to 913 Wilson Road, Wilmington, DE the site of the former Saint Alban's Church.
