Omaha Benson High School Magnet

KIOS-FM (91.5 MHz) is a National Public Radio member station in Omaha, Nebraska, United States, owned and operated by Omaha Public Schools. The station signed in on September 1969 as the first educational radio station in Nebraska. It is a charter member of NPR. KIOS-FM is licensed to broadcast in the HD (hybrid) format.

Krug Park (currently known as Gallagher Park) was an amusement park located at 2936 North 52nd Street in the Benson neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska, United States at the turn of the 20th century. In 1930, Krug Park was the site of the worst roller coaster accident in the nation up to that time.

The Country Club Historic District is located in Omaha, Nebraska from 50th to 56th Streets, from Corby to Seward Streets. With dozens of homes built between 1925 and 1949 in the late 19th and 20th Century Revival styles, the community was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.According to the district's National Register of Historic Places nomination, "the Country Club Historic District is significant as an early 20th century Omaha subdivision that was planned and marketed to attract homebuyers who expected an exceptionally high level of quality and consistency in neighborhood layout, amenities, home design, and environment. Ota is a sushi restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska. Ota is a six-seat sushi counter that opened in July 2023. It is known for a creative exploration of the concept of sushi. The restaurant is owned by David Utterback, whose mother was Japanese. He owns two other Japanese restaurants in Omaha, including Yoshitomo, which opened in 2017 and is located next door to Ota in a former Subway location, and Koji, a yakitori restaurant. In 2023 Utterback was the first chef in Nebraska to be named a finalist for a James Beard Award. In 2023, The Washington Post called Ota one of the country's best sushi restaurants.

The Old People's Home, presently known as Leo Vaughan Senior Manor, is located at 3325 Fontenelle Boulevard in the Florence neighborhood on the north side of Omaha, Nebraska. Built in 1917, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987.

The Malcolm X Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization, headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, working to perpetuate the leadership and contributions of El Hajj Malik El-Shabazz (Malcolm X) towards social justice.Founded by Rowena Moore, the organization is located on the site of Malcolm's first home in Omaha at 3448 Pinkney Street.

Benson is a historic neighborhood in Omaha, Nebraska. Now a pocket within North Omaha, Benson Place was originally platted in 1887 and was annexed into the City of Omaha in 1917. Actor Nick Nolte lived in the Benson area before moving to the Westside district.

The Nebraska School for the Deaf, or NSD, was a residential school for Deaf students in kindergarten through Grade Twelve at 3223 North 45th Street in Omaha, Nebraska, United States. Founded in 1869, the school closed in 1998. The school attracted national attention throughout its existence, first for controversial teaching practices and then for its closure.

Fontenelle Park is a 108-acre (0.44 km2) public park located at 4575 Ames Avenue, at an intersection of Fontenelle Boulevard in North Omaha, Nebraska. In the late 1940s, the park made headlines across the Midwestern United States as the possible home of a minor league baseball team.
