The Interpred World Trade Center Sofia is an office building in Sofia, Bulgaria. It was built in the beginning of 1980s and has leasable space of about 12,750 sq.m. on 10 floors. It has 150 covered and 170 open parking slots and is served by the nearby Joliot-Curie Metro Station. The company is a member of the WTCA.

Izgrev (Bulgarian: Изгрев [ˈizɡrɛf], meaning "sunrise") is one of the 24 districts of Sofia. It has an area of about 4.2 km2 The population as of 2006 is 33,611. It includes three neighbourhoods: "Iztok" (pop. 15,600), "Dianabad" (14,000) and "Izgrev" (3,100). There are many parks and green spaces which cover around 42% of the municipal area making it one of the environmentally friendliest urban areas in Sofia. There are 17 foreign embassies. The economy is dominated by services, trade, finance, industry and construction. There are 15 small and middle-size manufacturing plants and 2 large ones producing electrical and electronic equipment, machinery, metals and metal details. There are 340 trade sites which include the World Trade Centre "Interpred". The unemployment for 2004 is 3,1% and for 2006- 1,1% which is among the lowest in the capital and the nation. The public infrastructure includes 12 schools, 9 kindergartens, 2 clinics, Hospital for active treatment of neurogy and psychiatry, 2 libraries. Other institutions structures include the Borisova Gradina TV Tower, National Sports Complex "Diana", Park-Hotel "Moskva" (Moscow), National Investigating Department, several TV headquarters, Yug (South) Bus Station and others.

Euroroma (Bulgarian: Евророма) is the biggest political party representing the interests of the Romani people in Bulgaria. Established on 12 December 1998, Euroroma is not strictly an ethnic party, as it is open to everybody who shares its ideas and goals. In accordance with the stability pact, over 30% of the leadership of the political party are ethnic Bulgarians. Similarly, members of Euroroma's municipal and regional structures are not only Romani people, but also Bulgarians and Turks.

The Borisova Gradina TV Tower, or the Old TV Tower, is a 106-metre-tall (348 ft) TV tower (including the aerial) in the garden Borisova gradina in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. It is known as the tower used for the first Bulgarian National Television broadcasts in 1959.

Universiada Hall (Bulgarian: Зала "Универсиада") is an Indoor arena in Sofia, Bulgaria. Opened in 1961 for the II Summer Universiade, the arena has a seating capacity for 4,000 people and is the regular home venue of the Levski Sofia basketball team.

G.M.Dimitrov Metro Station (Bulgarian: Метростанция "Г. М. Димитров") is a station on the Sofia Metro in Bulgaria. It opened on 8 May 2009.

The Sofia University of Mining and Geology (Bulgarian: Минно-геоложки университет "Свети Йоан Рилски") is a state university in Sofia, Bulgaria, founded in 1953.

The Technical University of Sofia (Bulgarian: Технически университет - София), based in Sofia, is the largest technical university in Bulgaria. Founded on 15 October 1945 as part of the Higher Technical School (later renamed to State Polytechnic), it is an independent institution since 1953, when the Polytechnic was divided into four separate technical institutes. It has had its present name and university status since 21 July 1995 and has 14 main faculties based in Sofia, Plovdiv and Sliven, as well as 3 additional ones with education only in foreign languages — German, English and French.

The Sofia Seminary of St John of Rila (Bulgarian: Софийска духовна семинария „Св. Йоан Рилски“, Sofiyska duhovna seminariya „Sv. Yoan Rilski“), located in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, is the main seminary of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church and an ecclesiastical institution of high education. Founded in 1876 as the Samokov Theological School in the Sts. Peter and Paul Monastery in Lyaskovets, it later moved to the capital of Bulgaria as the city council donated a lot for the construction of a separate seminary building. The Sofia Seminary's construction began in 1902, when Knyaz Ferdinand of Bulgaria laid the foundation stone together with the chairman of the Holy Synod, Metropolitan Simeon of Varna and Veliki Preslav, in the presence of ministers and other influential figures. The complex, designed by Austro-Hungarian architect Friedrich Grünanger, who united Eclecticism with elements of traditional Byzantine architecture, was completed towards the end of 1902 and inaugurated on 20 January 1903. The Seminary Church of St John of Rila, a one-naved cross-domed basilica, was opened on 26 October 1904, St Demetrius' Day. During the Balkan Wars (1912-1913) and the First World War (1914-1918) the seminary complex was used as a wartime hospital, and the Agrarianist rule of 1920-1923 opened an agricultural faculty inside. The events after the Second World War saw the forcible moving of the seminary to Cherepish and the use of the seminary complex in Sofia in turn as a Soviet Army headquarters (1944-1946), by the Union of the Soviet-Bulgarian Friendship (1946-1950) and a Palace of Pioneers (1951-1990). In the spring of 1990 the buildings of the Sofia Seminary were given back to the Holy Synod and education was restored.

The University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (Bulgarian: Химикотехнологичният и металургичен университет) is a state university in Sofia, Bulgaria, founded in 1953.

The National Military History Museum (Национален военноисторически музей, Natsionalen voennoistoricheski muzey) is a museum dedicated to military history in Sofia, Bulgaria. A structure of the Ministry of Defence, it has existed under various names and subordinate to various institutions since 1 August 1914 (in practice since 4 July 1916). It consists of 5,000 m2 of indoor and 40,000 m2 outdoor (of which 500 m2 covered) exhibition area, changing exhibits, a library and a computer centre.

The Institute of Mathematics and Informatics was established in 1947 as Institute of Mathematics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Its name changed to Institute of Mathematics with Computing Centre in 1961, while from 1970 to 1988 the Institute together with the Faculty of Mathematics at Sofia University functioned in a unified structure, the Joint Centre of Mathematics and Mechanics. The present name was adopted in 1995. The Institute carries out scientific research in the fields of mathematics and informatics, as well as their applications to education, science, business and industry, government, etc. Members of the Institute hold teaching positions at a number of Bulgarian universities and colleges, providing also direction to Ph.D. and M.S. students. The Institute plays an important role in training gifted pupils, graduates, etc. for participating in major international competitions in mathematics and informatics. In particular, the Bulgarian team in mathematics has been ranking among the top five at International Mathematical Olympiad events in the recent years.
