Jirkov (Czech pronunciation: [ˈjɪrkof]; German: Görkau) is a town in Chomutov District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 19,000 inhabitants. Jirkov creates a conurbation with Chomutov.

The Czechoslovak Army Mine (Czech: Lom Československé armády, shortened to Lom ČSA) is an opencast lignite mine located in the Most Basin of the Czech Republic, located between the city of Most and the town of Litvínov. Since 2008, mining operations have been run by Litvínovská uhelná a.s. after its owner, the Czech Coal Group, broke up the former mining company, Mostecká uhelná a.s., into two operations (the other company is Vršanská uhelná a.s.).

Kamencové jezero (Alum Lake) is a lake in the municipal area of Chomutov, Czech Republic. It is artificial in that it came into being due to 18th century mining.Kamencové jezero, at an altitude of 337 m (1,106 ft), was caused at the end of the 18th century by flooding the mines used between the 16th and 18th centuries. It occupies an area of 15.95 ha and the maximum depth is 3.4 m.The high content (about 1%) of alum in the water from Alum Lake prevents the lake from the growth of weed and anabaena. For that reason it is very frequently visited in the summer months.

Rocknet aréna is an indoor sporting arena located in Chomutov, Czech Republic. The capacity of the arena is 5,250 people. It replaced ČEZ Stadion Chomutov as home of the ice hockey team Piráti Chomutov. The arena opened in 2012 and has a capacity of 5,250 spectators.
