The Bois-de-Vaux Cemetery (French Cimetière du Bois-de-Vaux) is the principal burial ground of Lausanne in Switzerland. Laid out by the architect Alphonse Laverrière between 1922 and 1951, the cemetery lies to the south of the town and has been designated as a cultural property of national importance (bien culturel suisse d'importance nationale).

The International Olympic Committee (IOC; French: Comité international olympique, CIO) is a non-governmental sports organisation based in Lausanne, Switzerland. It is constituted in the form of an association under the Swiss Civil Code (articles 60–79). As of 2020, there are 206 NOCs officially recognised by the IOC. The current president of the IOC is Thomas Bach of Germany, who succeeded Jacques Rogge of Belgium in September 2013.

The Vaudoise Aréna (provisionally known as Espace Malley) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Prilly, a western suburb of Lausanne in Switzerland. Opened in September 2019, it was built on the site of the former, now demolished, CIG de Malley which it replaced to host the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics. The arena serves as the home for Lausanne HC of the National League (NL).

Centre intercommunal de glace de Malley (abbreviation CIG de Malley or CIGM) was an indoor arena located in Lausanne, Switzerland. It was primarily used for ice hockey, and was the home arena of the HC Lausanne from 1984 to 2017. It was demolished in April 2017 to be replaced by the Vaudoise Aréna which opened in September 2019. A temporary ice rink, Malley 2.0, was opened during the interim and is one of the venues for the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics.

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) is the governing body for all national table tennis associations. Prilly-Malley railway station (French: Gare de Prilly-Malley) is a railway station in the municipality of Prilly (in the western suburbs of Lausanne), in the Swiss canton of Vaud. It is an intermediate stop on multiple standard gauge lines of Swiss Federal Railways. The station opened on June 29, 2012. The canton and the federal government split the construction cost of 65 million francs.

Lousonna (also Lousanna) is a Roman archaeological site in Switzerland. It preceded the present-day city of Lausanne.The Romans built a military camp on this spot, which they called Lousonna, at the site of a Celtic settlement near Lake Geneva.

The Swiss Institute of Comparative Law (French: Institut suisse de droit comparé (ISDC), German: Schweizerisches Institut für Rechtsvergleichung) is an agency of the federal administration of Switzerland charged with research and consultancy in comparative law. Its principal mission is to furnish opinions about foreign law to the administration, the courts and the public. It also operates a publicly accessible research library, which holds 360,000 volumes and served 6,000 visitors in 2008. The institute was founded through federal statute in 1978. It is located on the campus of the University of Lausanne and is administratively attached to the Federal Department of Justice and Police. It employs a staff of about 30 researchers, librarians and clerical personnel.

Prilly (French pronunciation: ​[pʁiji]) is a municipality in Switzerland in the canton of Vaud, located in the district of Ouest Lausannois. It is one of the western suburbs of the city of Lausanne.

Vidy is an area of the city of Lausanne (Switzerland), on the shores of Lake Geneva (French: lac Léman). Since 1968, the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee have been at Vidy. The Olympic Museum and the Olympic Park (sculpture garden) are at Ouchy, to the east of Vidy.

The École cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL) is a university of art and design based in Renens (in the urban area of Lausanne, Switzerland). It is affiliated to the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland.
