Chrást is a municipality and village in Plzeň-City District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,900 inhabitants. Chrást lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-east of Plzeň and 74 km (46 mi) south-west of Prague.

The Ejpovice tunnel (Czech: Ejpovický tunel) is a two-tube railway tunnel in the Czech Republic on the Prague–Plzeň railway line. It is located at Ejpovice and therefore bears its name. Since its commissioning in 2018, it has been the longest railway tunnel in the country. It shortens the journey between the cities of Plzeň and Rokycany from 20 to 11 minutes. The tunnel is designed for 200 km/h, but the maximum speed is currently limited to 160 km / h. The tunnel will remain the longest in the country until the planned Ore Mountains Base Tunnel between the Czech Republic and Germany surpasses it. When building the two tubes, a tunnel boring machine from the manufacturer Herrenknecht was used, with which up to 182 meters were driven per week. The equivalent of 260 million euros was invested in the construction.

The Mže (Czech pronunciation: [mʒɛ]; German: Mies) is a 105 km (65 mi) long river, mostly in the Czech Republic. Its source is situated in the Griesbach Forest (726 metres (2,382 ft) above sea level), Germany, near the village of Asch, in the municipality of Mähring, Tirschenreuth district. It forms the state boundary for a short distance of 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) and then finally enters Czech territory. It passes through the towns of Tachov and Stříbro. At the confluence with the Radbuza, it forms the Berounka in Pilsen. Its major left tributary is Hamerský potok and the right tributary is Úhlava. There are two water dams on the Mže, Lučina and Hracholusky, both in the Tachov district. The basin area of the Mže is 1,828.6 km2 (706.0 sq mi), of which 1,792 km2 (692 sq mi) is in the Czech Republic.

The Church of All Saints (Czech: Kostel Všech svatých) is situated in the Roudna quarter near the historic center of Pilsen. It is one of the oldest churches in the area and it was considered the main parish church of the early villages of Pilsen, Malice and Zahorsko before the construction of the St. Bartholomew cathedral was completed.

Doosan Arena, previously known as Stadion města Plzně (Plzeň City Stadium), is a multi-purpose stadium in Plzeň, Czech Republic. It is located in Štrunc Park, near the confluence of the Mže and Radbuza rivers. The stadium is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FC Viktoria Plzeň. The stadium holds 11,700 people. It is also known as Stadion ve Štruncových sadech (Stadium in Štrunc Park), named after Emil Štrunc, a former regional chieftain of the Sokol Movement (some people incorrectly think it is named after a famous local footballer Stanislav Štrunc).

Plzeňský Prazdroj, a. s. (pronounced [ˈpl̩zɛɲskiː ˈprazdroj a ˈɛs]), known in English as the Pilsner Urquell Brewery, is a Czech brewery opened in 1842 and headquartered in Plzeň, Czech Republic. It was the first brewery to produce pale lager, branded as Pilsner Urquell, which became so popular and was so much copied that more than two-thirds of the beer produced in the world today is pale lager, sometimes named pils, pilsner and pilsener after Pilsner Urquell. The brewery name, Pilsner Urquell, which can be roughly translated into English as "the original source at Pilsen", was adopted as a trademark in 1898. Pilsner Urquell is the largest producer and exporter of beer in the Czech Republic.The brewery was part of the SABMiller group of companies (at first South African Breweries) from 1999 to 2017. As part of the agreements made with regulators before Anheuser-Busch InBev was allowed to acquire SABMiller in October 2016, Pilsner Urquell (excluding certain geographical areas) was sold to Japan-based Asahi Breweries in March 2017.
