Al-'Abbasiyya

Judah (Hebrew: יְהוּדָה‎, Modern: Yəhūda, Tiberian: Yŭhūḏā) was, according to the Book of Genesis, the fourth of the six sons of Jacob and Leah and the founder of the Tribe of Judah of the Israelites. By extension, he is indirectly the eponym of the Kingdom of Judah, the land of Judea, and the word Jew. According to the narrative in Genesis, Judah alongside Tamar is the patrilineal ancestor of the Davidic line. The Tribe of Judah features prominently in Deuteronomistic history, which most scholars agree was reduced to written form, although subject to exilic and post-exilic alterations and emendations, during the reign of the Judahist reformer Josiah from 641 to 609 BCE. According to the Christian narrative, he was the ancestor of Jesus.

Arkadaş Association is an Israel-Turkey friendship organization in Yehud-Monosson, Israel. Arkadaş (pronounced Arkadash) means "friend" in Turkish.

Yehud (Hebrew: יְהוּד) is a city in the Central District of Israel that is part of the joint municipality of Yehud-Monosson. In 2007, the city's population stood at approximately 30,000 people (including Neve Monosson – see below).

The Yehud attack was an attack on a civilian house in the village of Yehud carried out by a Palestinian fedayeen squad on 12 October 1953. Three Israeli Jewish civilians, a mother and her infant children, were killed in the attack.

Yehud-Monosson (Hebrew: יְהוּד-מוֹנוֹסוֹן) is a city formed by the joint municipality of the town of Yehud and the neighboring communal settlement of Neve Monosson in central Israel. In 2019 the city had a population of 29,928.

Ganei Yehuda (Hebrew: גני יהודה) was a moshav founded in 1950 in the Ono Valley (בקעת אונו‎), adjacent to the cities of Yehud and Kiryat Ono. Ganei Yehuda was officially merged with Savyon in 2003.The moshav was named "Ganei Yehuda" after the biblical person Judah whom was the fourth son of Jacob and Leah and the founder of the Israelite Tribe of Judah. Both Savyon and Ganei Yehuda are located on the land of the Palestinian village of Al-'Abbasiyya (formerly Al-Yahudiyya), which became depopulated in the 1948 Arab–Israeli War.

Magshimim (Hebrew: מַגְשִׁימִים, romanized: Dream fulfillers) is a moshav in central Israel. Located near Yehud, it falls under the jurisdiction of Drom HaSharon Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 1,090.

Lod Air Force Base, also Air Force Base 27, was an Israeli Air Force airfield that was part of the Ben Gurion International Airport, located approximately 7 km (4 mi) north of Lod; 8 km (5 mi) east-southeast of Tel Aviv. From 1938 to 1948 it was known as RAF Station Lydda while under British Royal Air Force control.

Savyon (Hebrew: סַבְיוֹן) is an affluent local council in the Central District of Israel, bordering the cities of Kiryat Ono and Yehud. Ranked 10/10 on the Israeli socio-economic scale, it is one of the wealthiest municipalities in Israel. In 2019 it had a population of 4,036.

Be'erot Yitzhak (Hebrew: בְּאֵרוֹת יִצְחָק, lit. 'Yitzhak Wells') is a religious kibbutz in central Israel. Located near Yehud, it falls under the jurisdiction of Hevel Modi'in Regional Council. In 2021 it had a population of 470.

Ono (Hebrew: אונו) was a biblical town of Benjamin in the "plain of Ono" (1 Chr. 8:12; Ezra 2:33). The modern Kiryat Ono is not to be confused with the biblical Ono. The biblical town of Ono (1 Chronicles 8:12; Nehemiah 6:2) has been identified by most scholars with the Palestinian village, Kafr 'Ana, whereon is now built Or Yehuda, or, more specifically, with the nearby ruin of Kafr Juna, as Kafr 'Ana actually represents a Byzantine-period expansion of a nearby and much older site –– Kafr Juna, believed to be the ancient Ono. The territory of Benjamin was known to stretch from a place around Jerusalem to the plains on the west. According to the Mishnah, the town of Ono was encompassed by a wall before the Israelite conquest of Canaan under Joshua.Not succeeding in their attempts to deter Nehemiah from rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, Sanballat and Tobiah resorted to stratagem, and pretending to wish a conference with him, they invited him to meet them at Ono. Four times they made the request, and every time Nehemiah refused to come. Their objective was to take him prisoner.

Kafr 'Ana' (Arabic: كفرئنا, also: Kafr Ana) was a Palestinian town located 11 kilometers (6.8 mi) east of Jaffa, built on the ancient site of Ono. In 1945, the town had an estimated population of 2,800 Arabs and 220 Jews. Captured by the pre-state Jewish forces of the Alexandroni Brigade prior to the outbreak of the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, it was depopulated. Today, the old village site lies within the confines of the modern Israeli city of Or Yehuda.
